Dinner is 5 courses. In room bath has a big onsen. Service exceeded my expectation.

This was one of the most amazing and wonderful experiences I had. The staff were extremely friendly and made me feel at home at all times. I got a good price and, getting a ryokan for solo travelers is really difficult, yet I found this fantastic place. After booking I got a nice and warm message from staff asking me some things regarding my stay, also they let me know they could pick me up at the station. When arriving to Arima Onsen, the shuttle was really quick to come. As soon as you arrive they make you feel welcome. Food was exquisite, and the experience delightful. The onsen was splendid and relaxing, and the futon bed was really comfortable. Also they provide a nice Yukata to make the experience even better. I highly recommend this ryokan and I hope I can come back in a near future.

No complains on my side

We came via the Rokko-Arima Ropeway and Cablecar direction. It took us another 1km walk to the location. We were rewarded with breathtaking scenery throughout the rides and walk. Upon checking in, we were fortunate enough to be upgraded to their largest suite with in-room onsen that operates 24hr at a reasonable rate. Another reason for the upgrade is that the private bath was fully occupied. The upgraded room was located at level 6, which is a level below the public and private bath floor. The room was spacious, clean, comfortable and zen! Room was equipped with full facilities and massage chair! We were served with Kaiseki dinner in our room on the tatami floor just like how locals have their exquisite meal. It was terrific, really a worthy once in a lifetime experience. Exceptional customer service from the front desk to the dining area. They customized individual guest's needs, even out of their regular service hours, offering early breakfast with a short notice and shuttle van to the train station was prompt and handy when we were in a hurry.

Standard room is smaller than expected. After the dinner serviced inside the room, the smell of food lingered for a while. An air purifier might be a good option.

We like everything from our room, the onsen, kaiseki dinner and kaiseki breakfast. The quality of the food was high and since we were staying another night, we opted for the Sukiyaki Beef dinner which came with a large amount of Wagyu beef which was excellent of quality. We ate till our bellies were full and round.

That we had to leave again

It provided us with a wonderful Onsen experience. The staffs were friendly and helpful. Once we got to Arima bus stop, the ryokan shuttle came to pick us up. We loved the incredible dinner and breakfast served. The bath experience was relaxing!

Perhaps a warning on switching of gender on the onsen. Everything else was perfect!

Amazing relaxing experience, treated so well during our stay there. We had the kaiseki multicourse dinner which was delicious and tons of food. Booked the private onsen and a massage in our rooms. Comfortable sleep on the traditional futon beds, what an experience overall. The breakfast was no worse than the dinner!

its onsens are nice; the food is great ; the staff are super helpful. shuttle transfers to and from the inn from the arima station are a big plus when you have heavy luggage . the driver is also very polite and helpful. you have to call when you get to the station .

nothing . but perhaps better lighting in bathroom . it was a bit too dark.

The onsen for male and female will be swapped every day. So we can try both and make the best of it.

We ordered cooked food instead of sashimi due to health reasons. The cooked whole fish turned out not very good. But the other dishes were fine, especially the beef.

Every member of the staff team was above and beyond in their hospitality and kindness. The food was amazing. And the onsen was perfect for a 2 night stay.

The portions of food was too much! I felt guilty wasting so much amazing food.
