Kyoto Inn Higashiyama

I like that the location was a bit farther away from the city center but at the same time quite close to bus stops and the Tofukuji station, which is only one station away from Kyoto Station. The inn has an old vibe to it which made us feel like we were not staying in a place that’s meant for typical airbnbs or hostels. It really felt like home in a residential place and didn’t feel touristy at all. The manager was nice and accommodating. I would recommend it

The stairs were too steep but if you’re below 50 and have no mobility issues then you should be fine. Other than that I have no complaints

The host was super responsive and understanding. We were driving from Osaka to Kyoto. The traffic was holding us back and some minor hiccups along the way, Mr Taka was telling us not to hurry despite it's already 8pm.

The location is the setback but if you are driving, this place is not an issue. There is only one nearby supermarket, FRESCO, that is open 24 hours. There are no restaurants as well, so it's best to eat before heading back.

Although the location was a bit far from certain train lines and bus stations, it’s a very cozy atmosphere and everything that you may need for a comfortable stay is provided for. Definitely would recommend for anyone travelling in a small group, especially those energetic enough to explore and stay a bit further away from conventional transport such as buses and trains.

The apartment was a great size for a family of four and it’s in a great location, walking distance to major sites.

A drying stand for washed clothes would be useful. Or maybe it was somewhere I couldn’t find it.

- The bathroom lock door was broken - The sofa was little dirty and not very comfortable - Stairs is pretty dangerous fos small kids

Owner is fluent in English, extremely polite and friendly. The location is convenient and the owner provided us a parking space as well. Good facilities and the room is very clean.

Really Spacious, good location, lovely informative host to check in. Felt at home, it was a great stay. Cooked, washed clothes, spread out and enjoyed Kyoto.

It’s spacious. The provide all the amenities, including the washing machine and the detergent. The staff is very nice and super helpful.

The house is clean and very spacious. It has all the amenities like kitchenwares and toiletries. Complimentary tea and water is a plus! The staff is very helpful. We have a free private parking right next to the house. Great stay overall!
