Great location right next to Kenninji temple which is fabulous temple to visit in any case. Easy walking distance to historical Gion area and Hanamidori street, as well as other famous temples such as Kiyomizudeta and Kodaiji amongst others. Room is spacious, spotllessly clean and in quiet neighbourhood.

Only small negative was the fact that the laundry was only in Rinn Gion Kenninji which was few doors down from Rinn Gion Kenninji Villa where we stayed. However we were able to start the laundry and ask the staff to take the dried clothes back to our Villa without having to come back from our planned day which was very helpful

to travel through the dark night from busy Osaka and arrive in Kyoto Gion district to helpful staff and a spacious, immaculate room with lovely beds and impressive bathroom is the best way to start a holiday. Then awake to find everything on your doorstep, temple, food, subway entry, geishas walking to work... and of course vending machines with everything needed.

The staff at Rinn Gion Kenninji always went out of their way to accommodate all our requests for taxis, reservations and anything we needed. They are extremely polite and kind. The hotel is very clean and the location is near all the restos, shops and attractions. This our second time in this hotel and would not mind coming back again soon.

We enjoyed the spacious room, which combined Japanese and Western elements. Gion is a delightful neighborhood for a home base - we walked from the Villa to most sights we wanted to see in the Higashiyama district. Many restaurants are nearby. We'd highly recommend this property.

The laundry facilities are in another building and have restricted access for guests at the Villa.

The space is amazing. And the one that make it pleasant is the staff. They all very kind. Communication and question is answered promptly. Even before the stay.

In kenninji villa, have no laundry machine, you have to bring your laundry to main building kenninji. It's only a step away. However, because of that, it's limited to 8 am to 10 pm. It will be great if create another area of laundry at the villa as well 😀

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was very spacious, beautifully decorated, sparkling clean and has everything that we need! Bed was very comfortable. Location is fantastic at a really pretty part of Kyoto with easy access to areas of interest and also public transport. Would definitely stay here again. We loved our stay.

Excellent customer service - everyone at the reception is lovely. Super comfy beds, the room has all basic necessities (including microwave). Ocerall, a lovely place to stay.

Only thing that sucked was that no JR or subway stations were close to utilise passes.

We enjoyed the location as it was an easy walk to many attractions and yet still quiet in the night. The beds were comfortable and the size of the room was perfect for three adults. The room was cleaned twice during our seven night stay and the staff were very helpful.

Good location, clean and spacious for a family.

Futons are a bit thin and not that comfortable even for the kids. We were given a room on the second floor and upstairs footsteps were so loud until late. We informed the staff but it didn’t get better.

very clean n family friendly . place is just like the photos shown . there’s also microwave , fridge, laundry machine, full length mirror :) very helpful staff. water pressure is amazing! we enjoyed v much. v good location near popular places , and yet away from crowd. lotsa eateries
