From the moment we were picked up to the moment we got the bus back the hotel service was exceptional. We took the breakfast and dinner option and every day was the most comfortable experience. We were in Hakuba for skiing. There was a rental place a 5 min walk away which we were able to charge to our room (at the end of the trip they returned the gear for us) and every day when we went to ski they prepared our gear by the door for us on the way out and took us with our gear to Happo. At the end of the day they came to get us after a quick call and upon our arrival our shoes were waiting at the door for us to change into. The staff went over and above to help us with whatever we needed. Although it wasn't our first trip to Hakuba and we pretty much only went there for skiing this time, they gave us guides on what we could do in the area. They were kind and understanding, and especially sweet to our 4 y/o daughter. The included food was really good, including the kids options, and I was pleasantly surprised every evening. The room had this cozy random vibe to it with interesting furnishings and also an amazing jacuzzi in it with a view of the snow falling onto the trees outside I would highly recommend staying here - we had an amazing time.

Beautiful hotel decorated in French style with great customer service. We were driven to and from the Gondola at Happo One every day and our skis and boots were always waiting for us. The staff were friendly and helpful and good restaurants were within walking distance. The breakfast was filling with a good range of options and our suite had a large spa bath that was great to enjoy every afternoon after skiing.

We couldn’t get dinner the first night at the hotel when we arrived exhausted, however the staff helped us get takeaway.

The best service ever in Hakuba. The hotel shuttles all include service, such like deliver to the slope or rent and return the ski elements. That made everything easier for ski. All the staff, with strong service mind, made us warm at heart. The room was clean and comfort. They provide unlimited quality bathroom skit, hanger with small heater, plus CD player. We appreciate everyone, especially Miss Aya and the drivers who always there for us when we need some help. Everything is good and perfect. We love this place. Thank you again.

All staff members were exceptionally friendly and helpful to our family - from check-in to breakfast restaurant and especially the hotel car drivers with rides to the lifts & gondolas. The hotel is very comfortable in a beautiful setting especially watching the snow falling through the room windows. Beds and pillows were comfortable able to sleep well every night.

Would have been nice to have the fireplace in common lounge room lighted more often.

La Neige is one of the most exceptionally special hotels I have had the privilege to stay at. The hotel lobby and main living and dining areas conjure a Hayao Miyazaki movie. It is something out of a dream, especially covered in snow in the winter. The food is exceptional. But most importantly and notably, the people (we had the privilege of working with Aya) are warm, gracious, and incredibly helpful and welcoming. It is people like Aya that make hotels like these such memorable places.

The hotel provided exceptional customer service; their staff spoke excellent English and took great care of us. They, especially Aya even went the extra mile by making a phone call to arrange skiing instructors for us. They checked on us daily, making it the best hotel among the six we stayed at in Japan last December 2023.

The hotel is a bit far from amenities, especially if you don't have a vehicle. It's advisable to have a car if you choose to stay here.

Nestled in the woods, away from businesses, traffic, and people. Quiet and serene. Usage of dark wood, high ceilings, lobby with lounging space, refreshments, fire place and classical furniture is fit for those who like to enjoy spaciousness,indoors, reading, and the hotel itself.

while everything is functional, the toilets and bathtub is outdated. very low toilets (ok for short people) and does not have automatic flush (my boys kept on forgetting to flush). The beds were stiff, too. An upgrade on the toilet, bathtub, and beds would add value for sure. also, it would be helpful if the hotel rents out snow boots, so guests don’t have to go out to a rental shop to rent boots. food was exceptional but they serve too much food. we felt bad for the leftovers.

- timely pick up from the station in comfortable spacious and clean van. - the driver being thoughtful and asking us if we had eaten or not so that we may go by the convenience store to pick up dinner before arriving to the hotel - the front desk lady allowing us to sit comfortably in the lounge introduce us to the hotel , resort and check in. - our luggage being taken up to our room - the staff guiding us to our room and showing us the room - the beautiful balcony with forest view. - the great breakfast with attentive waiters - the coffee machine - the close proximity to spicy rentals - there quick and efficient coordination between spicy rentals and the hotel for pick up and transport to the ski slopes. - the efficiency of the driver already having the ski day passes door is - the kind driver always being there for pick up and drop off even when we got a bit lost - when calling the driver for pick up after our private ski lessons for pick up my phone lost connection and he called the restaurant location I was at to verify my location for pickup ( that was truly so kind!) - the beautiful fresh flowers in the hotel - the amazing cleaning staff kept our rooms beautiful - room service always so quick, kind and efficient - the stillness and calmness of the hotel grounds - no loud sounds and rooms were quiet there is so much more!!! thank you for such a great experience and memories I will forever cherish.

the main dislike was the bed. I feel just a bit of padding would be a great improvement.

The level of hospitality received was outstanding. We have travelled all over the world and never have felt so welcomed and cared for. Little things like having our shoes ready when we were picked up after a days skiing, to the wonderful staff in the Brasserie and Restaurants all made our stay extra special. We will definitely stay again.

Impeccable services , super attentive. They treated us extremely well, from day one of our check-in , shuttling us to Happo One slopes , to helping us to get to bus station at the end of our trip , it’s Japanese hospitality down to every details . Well done and highly recommended.
