The location was close to the station and within walking distance to the town's main attractions, and I got a room that had a microwave and washing machine, which was incredibly convenient and made my stay very comfortable. It also had a VOD system, so it was nice to watch some English movies.

The bed was quite low, and the air conditioner unit was pretty noisy - nothing major at all. I was surprised by the reviews of breakfast; it was pretty standard for a Japanese hotel breakfast and had less than some of the other places I stayed on this trip. It was still good; it just wasn't as amazing as I was expecting based on reviews, and it would have been great to have bath salts/tablets included in the amenities like a lot of hotels in Japan provide. Overall, though, the value for money is great.

Juraku Stay Niigata is a convenient short walk from the train station. The room was larger than expected. The breakfast buffet was phenomenal and offered a wide selection of both Japanese and western cuisine. Despite being the cheapest of all the hotels I stayed at during my 2 weeks in Japan, it was the one which most surpassed my expectations.

The bathroom was a tad too short from someone of my stature (197cm), though it was still better than some of the other hotels I stayed at while in Japan.

Location is a little bit far away from the train station but it’s still good for us. The room is clean but still have a little bit dirty for example the chair has dirt, I think it’s cause of the hotel have years. The breakfast is pretty good but if they have a bit more of the western style food is much better.

The location was good, less than 5 minutes walk from JR Niigata station and the bus station. the staff were friendly, the breakfast was very nice for a buffet, including a lot of locally produced food. Also checkout time of 11.00 was lovely!

Nothing major - it’s always good to have a hot spring bath in the hotel, which it didn’t, but the room’s bathtub was alright.

Within walking distance from the station. plenty of restaurants nearby. The room is large enough to open two large suitcases. Room is very clean. Breakfast is excellent. Large variety to choose from. One of the best breakfast in a hotel I have had.

Slightly bigger room than most japanese business hotels.

No nightstand. Fridge near bedhead is not ok when you can't switch it off. It misses one light in the room which makes it rather dark.

The hotel was very comfortable. The staff was professional and friendly. We loved the buffet breakfast each morning.

Overall we really enjoyed our stay. I wish there were more parking spots available but I know that is difficult in Japan.

The bed was definitely on the firmer side, where you can feel the springs under the mattress, though it was not uncomfortable.

too many constructions going on around the train station

It was very close to Niigata Station, and the room was relatively spacious. The staff were also nice. It fit its purpose of giving me a nice little place to stay at for my short stay in Niigata.
