Room Room was clean and comfortable. Daily amenities were provided (towels, cups). Little noise from nearby station. Video on Demand (VOD) provided free of charge. Wi-Fi was good. Location Very convenient location - a very short walk to Itabashi Station. One stop from Ikebukuro and close to Shinjuku through Saikyo line. Convenience stores are very close by. Hotel was comfy and clean, with some of the comfiest beds I slept in during my trip around Japan, and in a good area with convenience stores and restaurants nearby, and close to larger areas like Ikebukuro and Shinjuku. Staff were super helpful and friendly, and cleaning took place daily. I enjoyed my stay here.

The Aircon seemed to be heating only - there were no instructions on how to use it. The room could get quite warm so the only way to cool it was by opening the window, which meant the noise from the train station was much more audible. I am a deep sleeper so this didn't bother me much but if you are a light sleeper, ask for a room on the opposite side of the building.

APA hotel was in a really great location, I'm talking 3 minutes from the train station. We had amazing connections to the Saiko line which was only one stop away from Yamanote line (one of the biggest connecting lines in the city) so we were only a few minutes away from everything. The local facilities in the area were great, a few conbini and small corner shops and a very convenient McDonald's across the way also! We shared as two people and had a lovely compact room. The majority of the room was the beds which worked fine for us as we spent most of the time out in the city. In the room there was a desk which we used to store our bits and bobs, and a bathroom which was fully stocked with essentials every day by the staff. We also were provided with fresh dressing gowns and towels every morning when requested, and when we wanted to sleep in a bag was left outside. There are laundry facilities in the hotel which we used, it was only a few 100 yen to use them and dry clothes too. Generally very good and comfortable stay. The staff were also very helpful and spoke some English which helped us when we were struggling with Japanese phrases. I would recommended this to foreign visitors as it was a very welcoming space and we felt safe and secure the entire time.

As expected for a compact hotel there wasn't a lot of storage in the room. We ended up buying some thin wire hangers to put our clothes up on the hooks as we had a lot of changes of outfits! There were hangers provided of course but they were more for suits and we had a number of dresses to hang. The tv service was great and listed our check out time and date at all times, but the only issue was even the English movies were only in Japanese and with no English subs so we couldn't watch any! The location near the train station meant we could hear the general noises of trains and the cute song that plays when the train arrives but this stopped at midnight and only started with the first train. Not an issue really and I grew to like it!

we booked two rooms, one room had a larger raised bed and ability to open window (which was great), because AC was only for heat and it was too hot to sleep at night. other room did not have ability to open window and so very warm and hard to sleep because no option for cooling AC during winter season. also second room had a small bed for my wife and daughter so we ended up having my daughter sleep in my room. 2nd room bed also was not raised so could not store luggage underneath.

I liked how conveniently located it was, right off Itabashi Station. The staff were super helpful in helping me modify my booking because I accidentally booked for one person instead of two. They let me add a second person to the room for a small additional charge, which was fine since their rooms were all booked because of Culture Day. They couldn’t move me to a bigger room but my husband and I were fine with the room we got. It had everything we needed and then some!

Well-planned compact rooms that have everything that one needs - a good bed and the shower is also great. Great location that is a good starting ground for getting anywhere in the Tokyo and Saitama area on the Saikyo line. Speedy WiFi and TV with free video streaming service.

Friendly, helpful welcome from reception staff. Convenient location close to train station, yet my room felt very quiet which was great. Clean, well presented room and bathroom.

The bed mattress felt it was sagging a bit. I think maybe it needed turning over, or perhaps it was just a soft mattress. I still had a very good night's sleep anyway.

The hotel is near to the train station, you will not listen the train. Being near to Ikebukuro will really help to go anywhere you want. The staff is really great and will help you with your needs regardless the language barrier

Excellent location, close to Itabashi train station, McDonald’s, and Lawson. The staff is friendly, and despite the small room, the beds are comfortable. Complete bathroom amenities. overall experience is good.

The shower curtain is kinda smelly.

Coffee shop/cafe on the first floor had phenomenal food. Hotel restaurant fine. Bed comfortable and GREAT location next to the train station--made for easy travel around Tokyo. Nice neighborhood and nice to walk around--many restaurants and cafes within close walking distance.

Floor smelled like hamburgers because of the hotel restaurant.
