November 2023

The apartment was clean, a good size and provided everything we needed for our one week stay. Location was great, only a 10min walk to the train station and had plenty of convenience stores near by.

Beds were pretty narrow but were still very comfy. I guess they are Asian sized. Pillow were a little hard but still ok. Apart from that, very happy. One thing to note is you do have to walk past many "love hotels" on the way, however this wasn't really a problem. We had two kids with us and didn't feel it was an issue as the hotels are not seedy and there was nothing inappropriate about them from the outside. We came back late most nights (before 10pm) and never felt unsafe.

it's a modern apartment with complete facilities (washing machine, kitchenette and utensils, bathtub etc), very clean too. it's located near ikebukuro station who has connection to both JR and metro line, so very convenient. the room is also quite large, we can easily move and open our big luggages (a very plus side considering we're in Tokyo). for a muslim, it's also close to several halal restaurants.

it's located near love motels and just right beside a small hospital.. there was an ambulance sound in the middle of the night when I stayed there

Located not far from Ikebukuro station, less than 10 minutes' walk. Close to many convenience stores. Quiet and Clean place. Comfort bed and plenty of equipment in the room suitable for small group of people especially for making small meals.

A lot of adult temporary-stay hotels on the way to the place especially throughout the Northern area of Ikebukuro station but it is very quiet near the place. The housekeeper will only enter your room if you put the sign on the door and will only do three things: check trash bins, towels and refill amenities EVERY TWO DAYS! If two days is not reached, they will not get in your room even you put on the sign on the door. If you forget to place the sign, you will lose the opportunity for your room to get checked! We stayed for 5 night and the housekeepers only got in ONCE!

The facilities and provisions were great. Beyond your usual japanese bidet toilet that is separately located from the sink and shower, things were particularly great were the dryer in the shower that allowed you to dry your clothes and things in all weather. Amenities were all provided, including shavers and combs, including bathrobes. Housekeeping was provided daily if you put out the sign, and there was ample provisions given. The kitchenette was also well stocked, with a nice working fridge and microwave and a stove top for cooking. Nearby are also many convenience stores, shops, bakeries and restaurants that provided all our needs. The distance to Ikekuburo station was reasonable, and it was a really busy place with everything you'd ever need.

The WiFi could be a little spotty at times, and the hotel is located at a neighborhood that has many short stay hotels so do expect different characters to be around the area. You also need to have your own washing powder to use the washing machine.

It was entertaining and did not bother us in the least, but the hotel is located right next to a hospital and ambulance garage . One day they had a group of protestors with megaphones protesting their wages. They were very respectful and apologized for any disruption. My husband found it very interesting, especially since we don't speak Japanese. He found it far superior to TV. Additionally, down the road towards the train station and off to the side, there are many "Love Hotels." I didn't even know what they were at first, so it was not sleezy at all. We saw many people use the road past all the hotels on their way to work, the train, school. As with almost all of Japan, it was very clean and very safe. The hotel was close to bakeries, stores, restaurants and the train station and lots more. My 86 year old mom made the walk to the train easily. The hotel is spotless, simple, but every convenience thought of. All in all it was a lovely location.

I didn't like the 10am check out. Most hotels have noon and the earliest I had experience prior was 11am, so this was surprising. If you wanted to say another hour, I was told it would be 3000 yen per hour. We had stayed 8 nights in a 4 bed room and 2 in a 3 bed room. It seemed it should have given it as a courtesy, but oh well.

They were very clean and spacious for two people. I like their full kitchen, big fridge and especially big sized washing machine and the convenient bathroom drying which was a big help. The location was very close to Ikebukuro station which is convenient. Easy access to the convenience stores, the drug stores and the grocery stores as well.

I did not like the environment around the hotel. The roads around the area were pretty narrow. The hotel was surrounded by many so called "Love Hotels". I couldn't avoid not walking by those places to go anywhere!!

We were able to get a really reasonable rate, to the extent that all of the families we traveled with moved to this hotel. We liked the ability to do laundry and especially liked the ability to dry your laundry in the bath area, which is quicker than most Japanese dryers. I later learned that you can use that same heater to warm up your towels or warm up your shower.

Location wasn't the best for kids as you have to walk through A LOT of love hotels.

it was an apartment instead of just a hotel room, so lots of room to move around. Dishes and cutlery were provided. Soap, shampoo, toothbrushes were provided. Nice big shower. Everything was as described. Only a couple blocks to a Family Mart where we could buy milk, sugar, etc. Only 7 minute walk to the ikebukuro train station and the shopping & restaurant area - lots of choices of where to eat. The Eisei Stay is next to an area with a lot of “Love Hotels”, but it is not one. The area is very safe, and we never felt uncomfortable walking here. There is no front desk - checkin and checkout are done on an iPad in the lobby, they will send an email with a reference number to use - very easy, no problems.

Beds were quite hard. Pillows were very hard.

We stayed 4 nights, but no cleaning. On departure day I brought 2 luggage to the car, when returning at 10:11am (only minutes later), to pick up our last bags, the enty door where the elevator is, was closed, code already invalid, not a very pleasant situation. WiFi connection very bad. But all the rest was just great, nice, very clean place, very convenient locacion, only some minutes walk from Ikebukuro station EXIT WEST (N). More English information at the hotel would be highly appreciated. But never the less we enjoyed our stay and would book this property again.

Everything was good. It would have been good if they had kept a few sugar packets in the room. None of the hotels in Japan keep sugar packets. this will help when we make our or tea or coffee.

Nothing negative about the property or facilities. However, through out Japan the check in time is very late . We would reach the hotel early morning and It would have been good if we could allow checkin around 10 or 12 so that we don't have to look around for other facilities to keep our luggage or to freshen up. Although checkin is very late like 3 pm.or 4 pm, checkout is expected to be early like 10 am. This is very different in other countries. They allow checkin at 10 am or 11 am without any additional charges.
