Apa Hotel Ikebukuro-Eki-Kitaguchi

The hospitality of the personal. We had a problem with the room we got, and we are thankful for the way we were treated with this problem.

The brakfast is a mistake: to offer high quality ramen is not a good strategy. In the APA Hotel at Ueno there was a simple japanese style breakfast what is more meaningful and had a reasonable price. Here we missed such an option.

Hotel is located near the station, staff is friendly and prices are quite good compared to other hotels nearby. This is typical standard hotel for Japanese conditions, rooms are rather small, but generally clean and with everything you can need.

Some places in the bathroom were not as clean as on my previous visit.

The location was good and the station was easily accessible. There were a lot of places to eat near it too.

I am not a smoker, but my room and the floor my room was on constantly smelt like cigarette smoke, unfortunately. That was the only issue I had because it seeped into everything and I ended up smelling too.

Great price and location close to the station. Will definitely rebook next time I am in the area.

The bedding could have been more secure - the cover for the comforter in particular easily came undone while sleeping.

The location is excellent : 7 mn walk from Ikebukuro station, a major metro station on Yamanote line. Rooms are very small, but clean and confortable.

One elevator for the whole building is too little : that means waiting your turn to go up and down. We would have liked a beakfast served on the spot, like in many other APA hotels

I came to spend one night in Ikebukuro before continuing my trip. When I got to my room, there was a small problem with my door, so I asked if they could get house keeping to fix it. They couldn't, but instead offered me another room, including an upgrade in size. I'd like to express my gratitude to the staff at this hotel, very much appreciated!

Location is good for subway and bus, it is right at the front of hotel. It is easy to commute to anywhere. However, there are no elevators or escalators if you have the big suitcases.

the proximity of Ikebukuro Station, Donki Donki, and Lawson. You don't have to worry about late-night food and hotel services.

the sanitary situation of the desk in the room. But you can wipe it with a wet towel. No other concerns.

Consistent. Small room but the necessities worked and price was nice.

Not THAT close to ikebukuro station, but only matters in hot, humid Tokyo summer. Other times of the year would be no problem.

Very close to Ikebukuro station and in walking distance to bars, restaurants, konbinis.
