Great location, very close to the station which also happens to be the line you need to take 1 train to Haneda so very convenient! We loved staying here, the staff are very friendly and helpful, the coffee is great! We both had restful sleep both nights we stayed and found the shared facilities to be clean and tidy. We will be coming to stay again and would recommend Nui. Hostel to anyone looking for a chic hostel stay with a relaxing vibe!

Everything was great, the only comment would be to have more hanging space in the room, some hooks along the wall as just the 2 little hooks are not sufficient for 2 people staying longer than one night.

The staff is very friendly and helpful, the Hostel greats with a very welcoming and beautiful cafe/bar space with good (albeit overpriced) food and drinks. There were bikes for short time rental to a fair price. The communal space under the roof is well equipped and spacious enough. There’s a female only bathroom option. I liked the location close to the river and the nice Asakusa quarter as well as public transportation. For Tokyo a reasonable price!

The cleanliness of the bathrooms varied a lot. This was not only due to insufficient cleaning but also to the other guests that did not clean up after themselves, sadly a behavior that always increases with the sitze of the hostel. The bed sheets are not enclosing the duvet but merely used like blankets between you and the duvet - not the most comfortable or hygienic solution I believe..

The facilities were great - excellent atmosphere in the bar downstairs which is always busy and the staff are very friendly. Also the rooftop has a nice view and there is a common room with a kitchen and laundry services to use for convenience. The amenities were also conveniently on our floor with the option of female only the floor below us and very clean with hair dryers/ straighteners available for use.An elevator was available as well so we didn’t have to carry our luggage up stairs which was nice. You also have the opportunity to rent bicycles for a reasonable price! We rented bicycles and had so much fun cycling around the city :)) Highly recommend nui hostel bar and lounge.

The rooms were small however that is to be expected in a hostel, especially in Japan so not much complaint :) Also, there was no locker in our room.

Overall very solid experience. Bathrooms were immaculate. I suspect this has to do with meticulous cleaning and conscientious visitors, which is great. Bed were comfortable and there was a TON of space for a hostel in Tokyo with bunk beds -- everyone had ample space to put their backpacks and luggage somewhere convenient. Top bunk lacked storage space, but that's usually true. The full-female rooms weren't social but whenever I was in the common space for hostel travelers on the topmost floor, I had some good conversations. Definitely not a party hostel though! Very, very, very good value -- very affordable and yet also clean and spacious.

I might stay again, but I think if I were to come back to Tokyo again, I'd want to live in a part of the city a little closer to hot spots on the west side of town. Kuramae is cute, and affordable (thus the comfort and price of this hostel), but I'd like to experience a newer, less residential part of town.

The bar is so cool. Nice drink and food options. The beds were comfortable and I liked the privacy curtain. Never had issues to shower or use the bathroom it was always free. Not a really social place but somewhat. Rooftop was cool it closes apparently at 10pm so I missed seeing at night.

Whoever checked me in had a major attitude. It was so off pudding that I didn’t even want to stay here. She was upset I wanted to check in 1 hr early. And then more upset that after I had a red eye flight and wandered around till 3pm that my phone was dying. I simple asked where I can charge it and she huffed her breath and pulled my phone from me. It was uncomfortable. And I had a hard time being nice after that. Not welcoming at all. Didn’t understand the lockers they can’t even fit a small bookbag. I noticed no one used them bc you really can’t.

This is such a great place to stay at! The staff is lovely, the food at the café is great and the place is beautiful. The breakfast options that come included were so good and yummy. They have a great common area with a very well equipped kitchen to use and a nice terrace. I stayed at an 8 bedroom dorm and slept great! And would totally stay here again in the future!

Location wise it's 15 minute walk to Asakusa's shrine and market which is cool, but it's kinda far from all the 'night life' that's mainly around Shibuya or Shinjuku. But there's a couple metro stations close by so you can move around using that.

Nui Hostel was very easy to find after exiting the metro/train, and was only a 5 min walk. The area is a bit more “muted” and less busy than Shibuya or Shinjuku, which was not a problem for me, but since that is the case, it is a bit harder to find a place to eat for dinner, compared to those busier areas. I stayed in the female dorm, which also had female-only bathrooms. Bathrooms/showers were well kept. Dorm had A/C, privacy curtains and outlets for each bunkbed, and a decent sized locker (big enough for a laptop and small backpack; they supply the lock, but bring your own if you want something more hardy). I felt very safe as a solo traveler. Staff were very nice. Towels and other toiletries were available for rent or purchase, and a W/D is on site for a nominal fee. I did not eat or drink at their bar or restaurant, so can’t speak to that. Hostel is about a 20 minute walk to the Tokyo Skytree and Senso-ji Temple. I found the hostel to be a good base for traveling around Tokyo, but if you want to be more in the thick of things at night, I would not recommend (I will say that the guests were very social, so one could easier find a friend to go out to the bars/clubs). Overall, excellent value for the price.

Private room was spacious and perfect to use as a base while exploring Tokyo. Bed was comfortable, plenty of lights and power sockets for my gadgets. Bathrooms clean and showers hot during winter. Even has laundry facilities! Staff were friendly and helpful, never felt like I was bothering them. Cafe and bar is very social mornings and evenings, but always found a corner to sit quietly.

I was travelling solo, wish I could have stayed with friends, it was such a nice place. No problems during the stay at all.

The accommodation is conveniently located near a handful of subway lines and in close proximity to a major station. It was easy to get to and from said locations and travel into touristy areas. The vibe of the property is very cool! My stay was in a double room which was perfect sized for a solo traveller, as its sole purpose was for sleeping/down time. The communal bathroom was always immaculate and easy to access when needed.

Nothing to fault. Very happy with my stay and the facilities.

Really great location, close to convenience stores and the train station - but also in walking distance to major sights in Akihabara and Tokyo Skytree! Great rooftop for smoking and enjoying the view at night time, the staff were exceptional - always helping as much as they can to ensure your stay is the best it can be. The hostel had lots of character, beautiful interiors and great facilities. I’m very sad to have checked out and moved to my new hostel today! Will definitely be returning!

What isn’t there to like? Absolutely no complaints from me :)
