Good location, right in the heart of Asakusa. Really close to Sumida River and there’s a 7/11 across the hotel. Though if you want to be closer to the station, suggest you book at APA Asakusa Ekimae (2 min walk) vs Kuramae Kita which is an 8-10 min walk. The room is spacious for 1 person, can feel a little cramped for 2 but you can store your luggage under the bed to make more space. The room has complete amenities (ref, blowdryer, kettle, telephone even) and necessities are replenished almost daily (paper cups, instant coffee/matcha mix, toiletries like toothbrush/toothpaste, showercap, it’s all complete). The lobby has a small station with a microwave and a mini convenience store where you can self-check out some food items and other necessities. Room cleaning is every 3 days. If you want to avail of breakfast, it’s an additional charge and you need to walk to the other APA hotel to have it. The front desk staff speak english and are very helpful with check-in and you can store your luggage at the hotel for free. They also offer express check-out where you drop your room key into this box if you have no more additional charges during your stay - this is super convenient if you are in a rush to get to the airport.

I realized you can’t really control the individual temperature of the rooms - seems like it’s centralized to HEAT or HEATER especially during winter (we stayed late Feb). The room felt a little stuffy at first but you can just crack open the window to let some cold air in. Also my credit card didn’t work at their self check-in station (it asks for a PIN) and the self check in was also confusing, so for foreigners it might be better to just use their POS terminal at the check in counter manned by the front desk staff.

This was a great stay during a 5 day solo trip to Tokyo. I read some of the outlier reviews but came here anyways and it was overall great (seeing some of the unique things that Japanese hotels have that American ones don't like the fancy toilets and great room control panel adjacent to the bed). Comfortable and quiet, which is what I liked about Asakusa. It's about a 10-15 min walk to the Shrine and shopping.

These hotels really need to just allow for complimentary early check in if the room is available, rather than charging per hour that you check in early. When you arrive in the morning after a long flight and you're tired, you will go a long way towards making the customer satisfied by letting them check in early if the room is available. It costs the hotel next to nothing to do this, and it will mean more 10 star reviews and more people coming here which will get you more money. Also, I asked a staff member if they could help me carry one of my bags upstairs (I had 3 and I had my hands full with 2) and they refused. It was a cordial decline, but that was not good service even if they did it nicely.

Staffs were highly responsive and helpful even before my arrival. They were professional, hospitable, customer centric and went the extra mile to help. The hotel and room were bright and clean. While the windows closed in my room, ventilation was very efficient and I didn’t get the stuffy smell at all. The bed and pillows were super comfy to me and toiletries were more than sufficient. The area is away from the hustle and bustle of the city yet with easy access from Narita airport and to town, and great food and shopping. The hotel is ideally located between Kuramae and Asakusa stations, both are easy 5-min walks. Direct train service from Narita airport took just about an hour for less than $1500 yen. If you are carrying heavy luggages you can use exit A2b of the Asakusa station of the Asakusa line and you don’t even have to cross the road. A small supermarket run by aeon, convenient stores and a Japanese massage spa are just around the corner. It’s about 15 min walk to 24-hr Donki and rox shopping malls where you find Daiso, 3 coin shop, Muji, Uniqlo etc. it also requires only a ahort walk to the temple and Kappabashi Dougu Street where you’ll find all sort of cooking and baking tools and ingredients. If you are a craft lover, you will enjoy the abundance of supplies one train stop away from the hotel.

This APA hotel is one of many of the street. It was easy to find and the check in was quick and efficient. Breakfast is in a different APA 30 sec walk away, right next door. Breakfast is pretty simple, you’ll be fine if your ok with a Japanese breakfast (which I was so it was all good) but if your look long for western food it’s bread, egg and sausages. Location was GREAT! From the Narita airport it’s a straight like if you take the Keisei express line, it merges directly with the Asakusa line and if you go down at asakusa station it’s a 7min walk to the hotel A DREAM OF EASINESS. There’s a lot of metro and bus lines around that make it so easy to hop from on place to the other without any headaches. Google map will be your best friend for that. Wi-fi was good and fast, never any issues. It’s in a quiet neighborhood so at night it was very peaceful. Beds and pillows are on the harder side, fine with me but could be an issue for others. The rooms are small, as a solo traveler who’s out all day and just need a place to sleep it’s perfect and the bathroom was JUST big enough to not be to cramp. Water pressure always on point and hot water never an issue even during a long shower. Cleaning ladies are on point and always ready, I saw them everyday asking if I was going out so they could clean 😂. Would probably stay there again if I go back to Tokyo for a long period of time. It’s a basic chain hotel, but a good one.

Breakfast could have a little more variety and the breakfast room is on the smaller side, depending at what time you go to eat you might have to wait (super early or much later is best).

Nice and clean hotel. Rooms were small but very efficient with bed, tv, fridge, bathroom. No closet and limited hangers for clothes. They provide a basket to store clothes under bed. Bathroom tiny but has everything you need include a variety of amenities. Wifi was good and so were tv options - netflix, youtube, BBC etc. Not much else in English. Luggage storage for day! Reasonably located to subway/metro etc. Housekeeping staff are lovely! :)

Thought this was the hotel down the street that has the onsen - that was a HUGE disappointment. Front reception staff do not answer questions well ie. good restaurant suggestions, closest ATM etc. Hotel charges 1000 yen per hour to extend the stay...not worth it...better options elsewhere. Breakfast is not in the hotel - down the street in the APA with the onsen!

This hotel was a great find for us. It's located in a quiet and pleasant area between Asakusa and Kuramae, close to 2 subway lines and a 12-minute walk from the beautiful Senso-ji Temple- not to be missed at night when the crowds have gone- and all the nearby restaurants. The rooms are small but very well-designed and have all the amenities, and the same can be said about the bathroom. The mattress and pillows were super comfortable. We opted for a corner room, with a river view, and it was all worth it. Don't be put off by the size: comfort, quiet, cleanliness, kindness of the housekeeping ladies and staff (check-in and check-out were a breeze), and the affordable cost contributed to making our 4-day trip to Tokyo very pleasurable and memorable. Absolutely recommended.

Perfect location in the hearth of Asakusa, very close to different metro stations and to Senso-ji temple. The reception is open 24H and the staff is very kind and helpful for every need you might have. They provide you with everything you might need during your stay (tootbrush, razors, hairbrush...) and there is the laundry service (which can be checked from your room, so you don't have to walk downstairs to see if there is a washing machine available).

The room is very small. But rooms in business hotels usually are like that in Japan. Be prepared if you came with large luggages: there will be no space for them (or you) in the room.

Great hotel for the price -- the room was quite clean, comfortable, and quiet. The room is very small, as advertised, but it's not so small that it feels claustrophobic. The wifi was fast and rock solid.

The window in my room was frosted and locked shut, which was a bit off-putting. Also, it's quite possible that I was just doing something wrong, but regardless of what temperature I set the heater to, it would just pump out hot air constantly while it was on. So I'd have to constantly turn it on and off to keep the room at a comfortable temperature.

Everything was good. It was a narrow room (absolutely acceptable to Tokyo standards); nonetheless, there’s plenty of space to fit your suitcases under the bed. Two days into my stay, the air conditioning started leaking quite badly and part of the carpet was flooded. They were so courteous to immediately move me to a new bedroom - with a view this time.

Nothing really, but two pieces of advice: 1. The washing machines can get really busy at almost all times; 2. Arrive early for breakfast, as the place can get a bit crowded.
