- The hotel was very clean - The WiFi speed was good - The rooms are cleaned everyday. - The hotel is located right above the Wakoshi station. - Despite being above a train station, it is very quiet. - The area is quite nice with many convenience stores, shops and restaurants around. - Free coffee is available near the reception. - In each floor, there is a small room where you can find a microwave, an ice machine and drinks distributor.
- The hotel is a bit far from Tokyo, it takes over 50 min to go to the main tourist attractions. Subway is almost always crowded so you'll most likely have to stand for over an hour, which can be tough. - The room size is quite small, if you have a large bag you can only open it in the hall. If your bag is larger than the standard size, that might even be difficult. I personally didn't like breakfast. You'll be given tickets for the café on the third floor, which only serves 4 pre-set traditional Japanese menus. There are no continental or sweet options available. Only a main dish, rice, pickled vegetables ..

Clean and comfortable room. Excellent shower. Queen size bed was wonderful and much appreciated. Pajamas were perfect. There’s a grocery store across the station that had more selection than the one in the station. Bakery below has delicious coffee and pastries. The salad looked good too. The Uniqlo below the hotel was a nice surprise. Short ride to visit Kawagoe. Be sure to get the all day bus ticket from the information booth in the station for 400¥.

Good hotel, it's located on the 4th floor of the Equia Premie building so for those confused at first when leaving the station and following the signs, you need to use the elevator. Equia Premie has a few nice places to do some shopping and eat. You could go to the 2nd floor through the very same elevator connected to the Tobu hotel and go shopping inside uniqlo and immediately get back to drop it off for example. There is a nice bakery on the ground floor if you miss eating bread, it probably gets the craving done. The coin laundry as well as the vending machines inside the hotels can all be paid with IC cards so if you made the good decision to buy a suica/pasmo etc. you do not need to bring 100 yen coins, big plus as this is absolutely not the standard in most hotelsI have been in so far. Be sure to bring a power socket converter though, this hotel only has japan power outlets. Wifi speeds are pretty decent. I capped at around 90Mbps. The area itself isn't that exciting for most people, but Wakoshi is fairly well connected and you could get back to Ikebukuro in about 20-30 minutes, so if you plan to stick around that part of Tokyo this hotel isn't a bad option at all. Small warning to those interested to see the shibazakura in Chichibu also located in Saitama: you will in fact be told to go through Ikebukuro to get there despite both Chichibu and Wako being both in Saitama prefecture.
All I can say is that you need to understand the noise that comes with being located next to a station. Especially do not come during voting election campaign days because those people will be screaming through a megaphone very early in the morning until evening and being on the higher floors will not reduce the noise pollution by much. Bring ear plugs if you plan on sleeping well.

staff were very friendly and they understand English well, which was great for us. The location is really easy for us to travel into the centre of Tokyo cause it's right above the station. The hotel was nice and they had free coffee in the lobby. They had the coin laundry which was great for us.
Maybe a couple more coin laundry machines would have been sufficient because there were other guests using them most of the time, so we had to wait. Maybe it would be good to have some of the other floors as well. Only one microwave on our floor, so that meant others would have to wait if they were heating up any food.

Nice room for a few nights' stay! The breakfast was fine. Liked the free coffee machine near the reception. The reception was usually manned with courteous staff, which helped quite a lot. They also provide a Tokyo subway day pass for a fee to the hotel guests, which I though was pretty cool.
The breakfast could have more options or changing menu for the main course. The buffet is located on another for which one has to use two elevators. The space outside the elevator on my floor had a window which was usually locked, so no natural light in the corridor :(

Exceptional service and amenities! This place changed bedding, towels, trash, and vacuumed your rooms daily. They also offer free bathrobes which are also changed daily for you. 2 free water bottles and a pen are also replenished daily as well. Yes that's right, daily. In the USA you'd be looking at paying $150+ for these services.
The elevator doesn't go from the station to the hotel, but you have to exit wakoshi station and then turn left and then walk a bit then turn left and take elevator to lobby on 4th floor and then take a different elevator to floors 5-7. It would have been nice to be able to access from the same elevator or access from within station perhaps.

Wakoshi Tobu is a pleasant hotel on the suburb of Tokyo, directly next to the metro and railroad stops. Great access but expect Downtown Tokyo to travel 40-50 minutes. The room is pleasant and well equipped, cleaned every day and slightly more spacious than average Japanese hotel rooms where you are not able to open larger suitcase. The staff is kind and helpful and there are many shops and restaurants nearby.
Be prepared that you can have the breakfast just before nine. Officially the service is until 9:30, but after 9:00 you will only find the rest: no pastries, butter, jam and the staff will start packed. If you go to breakfast after 9 o'clock, you will only get soup and some Japanese fish dishes. If you don't want to have breakfast early a nearby bakery is a better choice.

Had a pleasant experience staying in this hotel. The room is quite spacious considering it's Japan, props to the staffs for keeping the room clean each day, they even changed the towel regularly. Free coffee, amenities, and there's also a coin laundry. The staffs are all welcoming and helpful, they assisted me with the Kuro Neko (luggage transport service) to transfer my luggage and the coin laundry. Not to mention, the location is just so strategic, surrounded by convenient stores, restaurants, cafes, and connected to the subway station.

This hotel is literally above Wakoshi station so it was perfect for traveling by train to our destinations. The location of this hotel was perfect for traveling with little kids. There are 2 arcades in walking distance, a playground, multiple places to eat, grocery stores, and a mall a block away. Also, there is an AMAZING bakery just below the hotel that we ate at almost every day. For the Hotel itself, it was very clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The deep tub and shower was fantastic. I noticed in other reviews that people complained about the 1 elevator, but I didn't feel like I was waiting too long at all. I would definitely stay here again but book the larger rooms for more space.
Traveling with kids I would have liked more room to move around in our hotel room. I would recommend booking the larger rooms with a family.

- Very clean - Tablet to turn off light and other options - amenities for the bathroom are present - small fridge - Card system to get into the building any hours - staff was very kind and basically not needed since everything is explained - direct train line to ikebukuro making it very easy to access Tokyo central - WiFi available Overall really great hotel! Did not use microwave or lobby rooms but they are available. Washing machines as well.
- bed is very hard. If you are used to soft beds, you will need to get used to it - window does not open even slightly. Only air-conditioning brings in fresh air. So it can be very silent and stuffy at night if you do not like to sleep with air-conditioning on. - room is very small. You have to open and organize your suitcase on the bed
