The owner is very helpful. Even though the check in time is from 2pm to 11pm, I check in about 12.30am, phone him and he was there waiting for me to arrive, Check in is fast and easy. Love the decoration in the hotel. Will book again.

Our room was clean, airy and comfortable. The balcony was very nice to have, as well as the access to the terrace on the top floor. The beds were comfortable, the AC working properly.

The top floor is only accessible by stairs which wouldn't be a problem if I didn't injure my knee on day 1. Also the location isn't all that great, though there are still stores and eateries in walking distance, the neighborhood didn't feel as safe especially if you're a woman. The price after the discount made it worth it, though.

Friendly and helpful staff. Liked the old vibes of the place. If you grew up in a 70s and 80s Malaysian home, you'd enjoy some nostalgia with the interior design they decided to maintain from when the time the building was up. Extra large bed was convenient as we had our 1 year old child with us. Bathroom and room floor was clean. Windows and curtains was not collecting dust. Bedsheets and pillow cases were clean. Hot water dispenser ay pantry was very convenient. It was topped up in the morning when I went to refill my flask.

A little tight to get into the road to their doorstep from the main road. Shower water didn't have much pressure, but still manageable. Would appreciate if some dish washing soap was placed at the pantry was area.

I booked this late as we had missed the last ferry to Penang island. Stephen from Aikka was amazing. He went above and beyond to help us. Even calling us to make sure our journey was going smoothly. Communises excellent. Sometimes it’s not always about the accommodation but the staff that are willing to go that extra little bit. He even called us a grab and paid. Thank you Stephen

cleanliness is the awesome stuff that i love and like about Aikka OYO Hotel!! i should and must say that it was the first budget hotel that we stayed and proven that not all budget hotel is bad and dirty! Aikka OYO hotel os absolutely clean and cozy. from the entrance to the room bathroom was super clean and well maintained which brought back some old Chinese style decorations.

Really great location slightly away from the main road so it was much quieter compared to other places we stayed at in the same area. And the bed and the pillows were super comfortable and we got a solid night’s rest! We traveled with our bicycles and there was also a convenient storage room for it as well. Overall a fantastic experience, and lots of local food choices nearby too.

water for hot bath quite slow but manage to shower. but got traditional kolam to tadah air for mandi.. also nice..😀

The room is spacious. The aircond is very cold. Near to restaurant and convinient shop which i think 24hrs. Afternoon there is stalls sells kuih, nasi lemak and also rojak. The staff are very kind and helpful.

The pillow is very thin. The parking is small and sometimes difficult to access the hotel area because the restaurant put table and chair @ the street and motocycles just park by their way without care about others

Although from outside the hotel looks very ordinary and doubtful, but the interior especially the room and bathroom is very clean. Aircond is functioning well, but can be too cold at night. The person running it is friendly and helpful.

No racks/hanging bars in the room and bathroom, so our clothes remained packed in our bags. I had to hang my towel at the door knob.

location is ok but nothing too exciting in central Butterworth. It’s good if you have a motorbike or car and a purpose for this location.
