Location was so nice. Breakfast was relatively fine and staffs were so kind and eager to help. Swimming pool is also well maintained. The seaside view at the poolside was great.

However, even though it is not the fault of the hotel but city view was horrible since there is a building which is under construction. It seems like paused without any activities. Also, some bad smell from street made us feel so bas experience on swimming.

We arrived at the hotel a little earlier, but the front desk clerk did not hesitate to respond to our requests and even upgraded us into a stunning sea view room. We had a staff escorting us to the elevator (I wasn't aware that this service still existed). The dining experience at the Nagisa restaurant was also great. The food was mediocre, but the people who serve and respond to our requests were incredibly helpful. Later we even ordered room service and they showed up on time and it was delivered by a friendly room service staff. We had trouble getting the channel we want in the middle of the night. Within minutes, they sent us this incredible technician who immediately knew he had to reprogram the channel. It only took him ten minutes to do his magic. The hotel offers an extensive buffet breakfast and they have a lot to choose from. The waiting staff were vigilant and will immediately clear the empty plates. Overall, the staff of this property worked in tandem to meet your needs and wants in a surprisingly timely manner. No doubt, an exemplary property that provides Malaysian hospitality at its best!

A fantastic chain hotel. Well located in the city center, walking distance to restaurants, shopping, and massages. A spacious room with a peaceful and soothing ambiance. Outstanding full breakfast that caters to the demands of people from all ethnicities. Staff that is professional, helpful, and friendly.

All was good. However, upon arrival, our room for 3 people was not ready. The room itself: difficult to find the fridge in the room (hidden under the bathroom unit). Main lighting could be improved. A safety handle bar on the wall next to the toilet would not only help senior guests, but also the ones who suffer from sore muscles after climbing Mount Kinabalu.

We were early and our room wasn’t ready yet so they my stored our luggage until check-in later. Rate this Hyatt a 10++! The hotel kindly provided balloons and a slice of tiramisu cake with a candle to surprise my daughter on her birthday. What a treat! Excellent AC and hat water. We had a huge room with slippers and a huge luxurious bathrobe to enjoy the celebration. We did not eat in the hotel since there were so many restaurants and the Central Market was within walking distance. Of course we took a selfie with the iconic “I ❤️KK” sign outside by the broad walk. Definitely had a feeling of being pampers in a spacious luxury hotel at a very reasonable rate of $75 per night for two in twin room. it was a pleasant 10-15 minute stroll to Jesselton Pier for our excursion.

We had a view overlooking the lobby on tbe 2nd floor but that was ok since it was pitch black at night for a quiet night of sleep which I prefer.

Service was exceptional, the staff were amazing. The location of the hotel was very easy to get too, and our seaview room had lovely views of the ocean. We were welcomed with a honeymoon decoration gift in our room which was a lovely surprise for my wife. The room was nice with lovely amenities, and the hotel was a short walk to the markets, and jetty to go island hopping. Lots of food options and shopping malls within walking distance. I would recommend staying at this hotel! We had a lovely stay.

We ordered room service in the evening as we had come back from our kinabalu hike and were too tired to go out - the malaysian choices of food were very a bit pricey for the quality. The western food options were nice.

Breakfast buffet provided ample selections both Western and Asian: big plus was different made to order stations (egg/ pancakes). Room provided view on atrium - you might want to request specific sea view, but this room was quiet and since a bit further down the hall not too many traffic towards elevators. Location of hotel was excellent; many F&B outlets nearby; my elderly mum & I walked to most places. Hyatt does provide laundry services, but if required cheaper laundry alternatives available within walking distance of hotel.

Gym quite small and definitely not 24/7! However, staff kindly offered to open up gym at night if so required. Pool is also small (hello fish eye lenses!) and not really 'open' early morning - somemore the pool is located directly in front of breakfast place. Dunno about you all, but I prefer to swim without public enjoying their breakfast... dun think I would acquire many fans during my early morning swims :)

I recently went for a staycation here in Hyatt Regency Hotel, Kota Kinabalu. It was for two days and one night stay for our son's birthday and I have made the booking through booking.com. We arrived an hour early before check-in, and to my pleasant surprise, the front desk receptionist allowed us for early check-in. I had booked a king room and when we arrived at the room, I found the room - large, comfortable and clean, with a seating area overlooking the city. At first glance, the decorations of the room look elegant, neat and beautiful. It has one king bed and 1 sofa and an office desk for business trip. Other than that, the food was scrumptious! There’s a lot of western or even traditional food there during breakfast. I would definitely recommend this place to all of my friends and family ♥️

Very welcoming staff at check-in and change of rooms.. Got upgraded to a suite because they didn't have the room that I booked (twin beds). Although, it was a smoking room, and we couldn't stand the smell more than 2 nights before we asked to get moved. Lovely pool area and great spa. I unknowingly booked a "Club" room, and access to the club lounge was definetly worth it.

From a 5-star hotel, I would expect a little more effort from the staff to cater to (not too complicated) off-the-menu food and cocktails.

The rooms were huge! I have never really stayed in a nice 5* hotel so jumped at this opportunity for the really good price. The rooms had a lot of space, big desk, big powerful shower and tea/coffee facilities. The beds were comfortable and large and I couldn't fault how I slept. The reception/foyer is also really big with plenty of areas to sit and relax. The breakfast buffet was the best part of the stay. For RM40 (around £8) you have so much choice of lots of different cuisines from local dishes to Indian, Chinese, European, Korean etc. You won't be bored of choice and you definitely won't be hungry. The location is in central KK, near to bars, restaurants, malls etc.

No filtered water facilities so you either had to use the plastic water in the room (but trying to cut down on plastic use) or keep asking the restaurant staff to fill up my bottle. The staff were happy to do so but it would have been far easier to provide water filters on each floor and in reception. The rooms could have had more storage, especially as they are so big so there is plenty of room for a set of drawers. The pool is nice but not very private from neighbouring buildings and also a hotel conference room. So it felt a bit awkward to relax on a sunbed in a bikini.

The stay was immaculate and bonus point for the seaview. Conveniently near to many attractions points at the city.

We booked for the King Suites and was provided with Regency Club breakfast at Level 13 but the food selection is very limited and not much so we thought that is kinda not suitable with what we're paying for hence why we asked for breakfast at the main restaurant downstairs on our final stay with much more food delicacies options. Other than that, our stay is amazing.
