Very nice place. The lobby and pool area are beautiful. The breakfast buffet and dinner buffet are great

They are very strict about not allowing outside food. No grab food. But their prices on the hotel grounds are 5x the local prices. We enjoyed our 2 days at the hotel but any more would be too expensive for us. Also, the beach was closed both days.

Conveniently located a short drive from Kota Kinabalu Airport and the Imago shopping mall. The rooms were comfortable, clean and well equipped. Breakfast was great with lots of continental and oriental options. The beach, pool and garden areas were lovely.

Bringing food back to the hotel is not allowed and had we known this prior to our arrival we would not have booked to stay here. There are plenty of food options on-site but these are a lot more expensive than nearby food places like those in the Imago Mall. There were evenings when the kids were craving dessert or bubble tea and, instead of being able to order to enjoy in the comfort of the hotel, we had to take a taxi out to buy and consume these which was an inconvenience.

The hotel has a big territory with pools, clean and beautiful. I had a spacious room with the sea view. Buffet breakfast with big assortment of dish was included. Staff was friendly and smiling, helping around. Hotel has a private beach which is not so big. Although it is close to the harbor, the water is clean, and you can swim and snorkel there with no problem. Overall, I had a very pleasant stay there.

There was garbage on the private beach, so I picked it up sometimes. I wish staff can pay more attention to beach cleaning. From the hotel it was difficult to go to the town because there is no place to walk by feet, had to use taxi all the time.

The staff were friendly and accomodating, the room was amazing, the beds were comfortable and the facilities is superb - theres always something for everyone! Definitely super worth the price. Shoutout to the staff for: 1. Upgrading us - we booked a king bed but by the time we checked in it wasnt available so they upgraded us FOC. 2. Giving us breakfast to go - we had an early checkout (7am) and the staff were willing to pack for us breakfast to go since we wont be able to go for the buffer. The hospitality truly made me proud to be a Sabahan!

Breakfast buffet was a bit dissapointing. But then again they cater a lot for koreans so i guess its just not to our taste. But there was 1 particular waitress who was an absolute delight she would follow up, make conversation and was very helpful. All in all, i can still overlook the situation as there was still enough to fill my tummy.

Location great - liked having surrounding golf course, marina and gardens as buffer from the town. Staff delightful, enormous choice at breakfast buffet, rooms very comfortable with excellent bathroom facilities, pools lovely, beach small but very clean and nice to have. Large sitting/lounge area in entrance lobby. Decent gym overlooking gardens, hairdresser, beauty therapist. Everywhere spotless. Despite being a big hotel, didn't feel anonymous. Easy to arrange island hopping, paragliding, snorkelling from the marina. (Concierge a great source of information.) Using the 'Grab' app to call (cheap) taxis, meant travelling into centre of KK and getting out and about was effortless! Great views of sunset from Skyline rooftop bar.

Nothing really! Hotel's interior space with stacked room, looks slightly dystopian future :) but works very well!

Entrance and lobby - beautiful Check in - easy and staff was friendly Room (Queen) - Spacious room and toilet, enough storage and power sockets, 2 bottles of water available daily (We opted out of room service, but they supplied the water anyway!). Bed was very comfortable Breakfast buffets - were exceptional! Multiple choices, and menu was different daily Opted for italian dinner buffet - good value for money (Even the other buffet nights and lunches seemed tantalising, but we wanted to eat out and tried other local restaurants and cafes - many available!) Garden and pool area - well maintained and services were great Activities - Didn't opt for these, but I went to see the prices to visit the islands and water sport activities and they were fairly priced Check out - efficient

Room (Queen) - Stayed in 809. It was NOT soundproof, and we could hear the people next door in the adjoining room. Pillows were too soft, found it difficult to sleep. Unable to crack open the window, so only relied on the central airconditioning for ventilation - not great for the sinuses and the brain. Shower - Some mold in the tiling. Understand that they are marble i think with cracks, but please do try ways to scrub these off. If these were rectified, I think the stay would have been perfect!

We chose a hotel that has access to the beach and the sea (it's unusual that you are on an island, and there is almost nowhere to swim in the city). But on the very first day, as we arrived, they said that you can’t swim - jellyfish (in mid-February). Keep this in mind) The hotel is big but not new. The room was clean, the bed linen was fresh, but the furniture was a little "tired", as was the overall design of the hotel. The hotel itself is located away from the city center, surrounded by a golf park, next to the marina, from where it is very convenient to get to the islands. This is a great option for 3-4 days, but maybe not longer.

I stayed at Magellan earlier this year and the staff was very polite there so I expected the same at Pacific. The receptionist curtly attended to us until she knew we were foreigners (she thought we were locals) and her demeanor changed instantly. I was also surprised with the RM600 deposit for 3 nights considering earlier this year, our stay at Magellan only required an RM100 deposit for a 3 nights stay.
