When I first arrived at the front of the hotel, the hotel looks like a old hotel. But once I step in, they are in the middle of renovation which I think is going to look new. The interior of the room is beautiful and doesn't look old. I like the bed is very huge and the staff is very friendly and nice. They have provided baby crib like I requested. The toilet is also nice and the room is quiet. I like they provided netflix and parking. Not many hotel provided parking in KK.

They have variety of breakfast but I think they can improve better at desserts.

The Deluxe Room that we stayed in was comfortable as we also requested for extra bed as we were3 friends travelling together. Breakfast was okay. Good spread of food. We did not go to the swimming pool area.

Should have more pamphlets of Tours offered around Kota Kinabalu and surrounding Towns. Also if Kota Kinabalu want to attract more tourists to explore the different towns and attractions they should have tried to conduct tours everyday - eg. we wanted to go for the KK City Night Cruise but was told that the programme doesn't operate daily so we did not have the opportunity due to lack ot time!

1) Restaurant the food was delicious 😋 and offortable too. We had our tea break there. 2)Hotel room very good 3) tv better using 4k 4) wifi very strong

1)Breakfast menu not so good just like average home cooked compared to promenade their menu are good 😊. The menu you cater mainly for Malays not multi races menu. Coffee maker not friendly user,no staff was present to assist when got difficulty to use it. 2)Swimming pool attire not strict enough everybody can swim without their proper swimming suit 😔.

Love the room even though I didn't booked with a view as it was spacious and clean. I know place hotel is one of the oldest hotel in Kota Kinabalu, but they had upgraded it well and still maintain its outer historical old hotel vibe.

I went in a rental car. Although I did tell them my car number during check in at least they can reserve me a parking spot even if it's a free parking policy. Was disappointed when on Friday there was a function at the hotel, they ask me to not park at so-called only for VVIP parking when I was staying there as a house guest for 5 nights with a rented car!! Hope they can upgrade and improve their service on that

We were greeted by a warm smiling concierge upon our arrival at the hotel. Not only that, when we stepped into the lobby, we were greeted with the sweet smelling aroma of the hotel. Check-in was smooth. We loved our corner room 416. It was immaculately clean with white sheets, bouncy pillows and functioning air conditioning unit. The toilet was really clean too. The pleasant flowery aroma and the cleanliness of this hotel made it a perfect start to my trip in Kota Kinabalu.

staff at reception and door to restaurants were always attentive and pleasant . Breakfast was apt and not too crowded, Even had opportunity to attend the ramadan buka puasa buffet, ample food and special price for aged , kids and further discount for stay in , Really good value

Wifi but multiple ports to login if it gets congested. Still bearable. Got the Tech person to sort out and work fine then. thanks for coming in with just a quick call in mid of night.

Check-in was flawless, staff was very friendly and they also upgraded (thumbs up) our 2 other rooms since we are coming as one big family. The room size was quite spacious for the price. Equipped with basic amenities, TV, small fridge and toiletries. Toilet is very clean and equipped with water hose (for local & Muslim guests). Air-cond was good, quite cold but you need to leave it switched on while away. It will take time to cool the room. I forgot to request for double/queen/king bed as I am with my spouse but unfortunately it was none available but they were kind enough to put the two twin bed together on the last minute.

We couldn't connect to the WiFi at all during our stay; not sure because of router placement or something. But as traveller I have always expect this and used the 4G the whole travel period. Wall insulation is not that good; our room is facing front/parking area of the hotel so any sounds coming from the hotel front was always heard. Common noise was like trucks/buses coming and renovation works. The external air-cond (the compressor) was quite audible during our stay but for me personally it become a 'white noise' and helps me sleep at night.

beautiful rooms, great service and excellent food at the on-site restaurant.

we booked for 5 people 3 kids 9,13,15 all clear in the booking and only got beds allocated for 4 it happened a few times in borneo - frustrating as breakfast allocated for 5 people. they assume three kids can share a double bed so had to add on a pull out bed and pay extra - fine but would be good to have it set up before arriving.

super friendly, helpful and professional staff. thank you so much for making me feel so welcomed. special BIG THANKS to Jesella at reception and Hafifi at pool bar. huge room, big comfortable bed, very efficient aircon, great shower (strong water pressure & heat), efficient elevator, many power sockets for charging. wide spaces to put your stuff, i like this very much! i appreciate the very efficient safety box. and good wi-fi signal. also a big credit to the very efficient housekeeping team who kept my room clean and tidy throughout my stay. a nice swimming pool that opens from 7am to 8pm. i love the idea of having nature walk/park just behind the hotel and a spa inside the building (though both facilities were closed during my stay - darn!)

TV got Vision Channels but reception was not that good. nature walk was closed (was looking forward to it when i did the booking). spa was also closed (either due to raya holidays or post -mco reason). also was a bit disappointed the steam room was closed too (SOP not ready according to staff). swimming pool is nice but a bit exposed due to very near to restaurant (just above pool) and the pool bar - hence expect little privacy when using the pool

The staff were lovely all very accommodating and friendly. Food was great. Huge amount for breakfast and lovely omelettes cooked to order. Pool was nice to relax in

Under refurbishment so some rooms are tired but the recently refurbished are great. By pool we couldn’t sit as were being bitten by mosquitoes but this wasn’t anything the hotel could change it’s just our English skin!
