I don't really know the positive sides of Palm Residence... as I did not stay at Palm Residence, but at QUICKSAND - which was very nice. Nice room, clean and fair priced, would stay there again. So even if this score goes to Palm Residence - I repeat - I stayed at QUICKSAND.

That I did NOT STAY AT PALM RESIDENCE, they are clearly double-booking (it was the 7the time on Rasdhoo for me and I know half of the accomodations-managers there) - it is a common practice, to fill the hotel with Booking.com and then still take bookings elsewhere - I just DO NOT APPRECIATE being given something else than I book, it's not fair towards the paying customer. Having said that, I still give an 8 on the review, but I definitely would expect Booking.com to do something, as there is surely an agreement about these things NOT happening.

The hotel is a 5-6 minute walk from the beach, and the room we stayed in was comfortable and clean, with a spacious bathroom. The hotel staff, Diane and Coco, are incredible; they are always cheerful and helpful with everything. I needed a birthday cake for my daughter, which is hard to find on the island, and Diana not only arranged the cake but also helped us with the birthday celebration. Coco is always there to assist whenever needed.Diane helped us find a boat for our arrival and departure, and they also welcomed us at the port and saw us off. We thank Diane and Coco for everything, and if we visit Rashdoo again, we will definitely choose this place once more. Greetings to Diane and Coco!

Diane and her nephew, who run Palm Residence, are the stars. They are welcoming, helpful, accomodating and polite. We really liked the breakfast on an open air patio. It is buffet style with a good variety. There is coffee, tea and water available all day. Rasdhoo is small so Palm Residence is close walking to anywhere on the island. There are some masks and fins to borrow for free. The Superior Queen room was quiet and a decent size, hot water available at all times. There is a dryer to dry wet clothes before packing to leave. I think this is a solid choice on Rasdhoo and would recommend it.

The room is a bit tired looking. We had no toilet seat. The booking said TV although there was only a bracket on the wall. We found the bed uncomfortable, the mattress and the pillows were very hard. The dead bolt on the door didn't work.

Miss Diane and her Nephew are wonderful People, going beyond to make your stay the best you could have. They pick you up, help with bookings, give recommendations and even cut your fruit if you bring some in :) i felt more than comfortable, even as a woman alone. we had nice chats and i would recommend the place to everybody. besides that, the room was clean, lots of towels, huuuge bathroom and at all very good value. matress is a little hard but i recognized thats what it is everywhere in the maldives :) the small garden is perfect to relax, shops and restaurants are close - the island is not big, so everything is close anyhow. breakfast is very good, they even let me have early breakfast because of my diving schedule. loved it here!

Super nice, polite, helpful and friendly staff. Great big clean room. Good location. Very silent air-conditioner. Great breakfast (both continental and Maldivian breakfast are great). Free drinking water, tea and coffee at any time. Bath.

Maybe for someone bed will be hard. No TV in the room (but room's info on Booking.com specified that TV is provided). Little brokes of some stuff. And the biggest disadvantage is that it is a little bit noisy because the room is located near the reception on the 1st floor. This is a small cozy guesthouse, they have no huge building. There are only 6 rooms: 3 on the first floor near reception, and another 3 rooms on the 2nd floor, but also near a public area (guest hall with tea/coffee, etc). So in any room it will probably be sometimes noisy because you will hear reception's or other guest's activities. But for their price and very great service this disadvantage is not a problem, I think. But if you want absolute silence and privacy - probably this place is not a good option for you.

Thank you for the special dinner prepared for me during my last stay and it was so tasty :) You have also decorated my bed and provided a warm welcome on my arrival which was so nice also taken me out for a tour. Looking forward to visit again :) Pros The Beach is behind the residency 100 meters. Bikini beach just on the same beach. Just walk 300 to 400 meters to right on the same beach behind the hotel to reach the bikini beach. Rooms were very clean, has a bath tub, AC and a balcony. Has a beautiful garden. Free snokeling equipment provided Provides customized activitites and excursions with discounted cost if you are on a budget. Just let them know what you like to do and they will plan all activities for you on a discounted price. They can arrange everything like snokeling, fishing, diving, kayaking, sandbank visit etc Every 2 days they replace the towels and clean the room. You have to request because they cannot enter your room without your permission Has drinking water at room, new water bottles can be taken from the 2nd floor, or from ground floor, fridge in your room and an expresso maker at the common room.

The staff at the hotel completely made this holiday for me . As a solo traveler they were attentive and knew where I was and what I was doing each day . Nothing was too much trouble for them . Miss Dianne and Coco made my holiday.

The facilities are starting to look a little tired now . The rooms are dated and the mattress firm. The staff do a great job repainting it and keeping it tidy but it must be a struggle for them .

The palm residence is a simple, nice guest house with normal rooms, fridge, bathrooms with shower and bathtub. AC in the room, drinking water in the lobby, kettle with coffee and tea bags on the first floor. Price-performance-ratio is on spot. The staff made the stay even better: always around and ever helpful. Sharid picked me up at and brought me back to the harbor transporting my luggage on a cart, bringing breakfast every day to the first floor eating area. The breakfast (Mas Huni - so good) was done by lovely Diane, fruits changing daily and choice between western or maldivian breakfast. She is most of the day in the lobby and eager to help with tours and advice. Thank you two for a wonderful stay!

Diana and Sharif were such a great hosts. Both are always smiling and trying to help you. The room was very clean, and they helped to book the boat transfers to the island. The location is also good, the island is quite small, you are very near the bikini beach and there is a restaurant on the same street.

I did not like the boat transfer company (Coral Rashdoo). This has nothing to do with the hotel, but that boat company should offer a better service. Bear in mind For the transfer it is better if you pay in Dollars and not maldivian Rufyia.

The 2 hosts are really nice, Diane explained very well how to get the speedboat and came to pick us up at the ferry so we wouldn’t get lost ! Diane also organised the speedboat for the day we left. The rooms are nice, clean and quiet.

Breakfast could be changed a bit more often, we had almost the same thing every day over 5 days.
