I give this hotel a 9 because it's not really within walking distance of much but otherwise this place was great. The rooms are really spacious and I totally forgot I asked for a big bed - I think we could have fit 6 people in it. It was LUXURIOUS to roll around in all that space. I'm only 5'2" but hey, I can still appreciate a very big bed! Yes, the rooms are a bit on the older side but I didn't care. Tons of space to store things, good water pressure in the bathroom and a nice big balcony that gets morning visitors; some red birds and black birds with yellow markings. They do not come in the rooms. There is also AC and you can log into your Netflix if you are looking to relax/watch tv in your room. There is a mini fridge. I had the garden view with hibiscus, frangipani and golden trumpets everywhere. 2 of these flowers aren't seen easily in Montreal Canada and I took every opportunity to stick my nose in them (like a weirdo, I know). It's a quick walk thru the garden to the restaurant, pool and beach area. There are plenty of beach chairs and the beach itself is lovely. I went for a walk, picking up washed up trash as I went (every bit counts!) and mistook a blue bottle jellyfish for some melted plastic. Quickly realizing this was a bad life choice, I took a pic and went back to the hotel to ask for assistance. The staff was very quick to respond. I showed them the pic and they calmed my fears about a potential agonizing death or violent illness. They told me what to do and everything was fine shortly after. No, there are not usually blue bottles - as far as I understood an unusual weather system washed them in so don't worry about enjoying the water here. Just don't randomly pick up things without looking closer first. The restaurant was pretty good, the curry chicken and pineapple achard were my favourites along with their inhouse Rum Arrange. Flacq is only about 18 minutes away by car (market, supermarket etc)

The meals were allright. Breakfast was really good, those croissants are still on my mind. rooms were okay. the staff is friendly.
hotel is not a big complex as you might think. there are not many alternative atractions around the hotel. The location is far from city centre and airport and places you need to see. you must definetly rent a car if you are not going to just hang around in hotel

The view of the room, the beautiful beach really close by. The proximity with Ile aux Cerf, the cleanliness of the hotel and the kindness of the staff. We really appreciated all of these.
The food was not very typical, except for one "thematic" dinner. Because of the season, few to no fruits offers, only some for the breakfast and none for dessert at lunch or dinner and no fresh juice, it was frustrating while being on a tropical island. The policy of the staff that was always around us to clean up the table was really annoying, we couldn't look away from the table more than a few seconds if we wanted to keep our plate. The general prices for the activities. We went to the center of the town to find a tour to Ile aux Cerfs and it was almost half the price of the hotel's offer. Same thing with the north or south west tour or the transfer to the airport.

very tropical, closer to the beach. quite relaxing environment. service was good theme night were amazing and fun
they can just improve on the variety of food provided. there was more chicken with fish less red meat. bacon was only served once in the duration of our stay. not sure if these are expensive items for the island. less activities/ games for the kids. hope they can improve on this .

The food was very good and there was enough variety - I’m not sure if there is another menu for people to order from or if there’s even an option for not all inclusive, but we didn’t get bored with the menu. The workers were so friendly and always make sure you had what you needed There was enough variety on the all inclusive to make it feel like value for money (bar wise) Hotel is happy to organize taxis for you if you want to go and adventure around Loads of day beds at the private beach Great beach for swimming. All inclusive ends after you check out It was generally a nice place. Quiet, older crowd with not that much to do around if the weather wasn’t on your side, but still a lovely stay to regroup
Not all charging ports were working so day 1 of the holiday was a bit of a nightmare. There was no room service but it wasn’t the end of the world. It would have been a nice to have but it just forced us into eating at consistent times.

This resort looks maybe a little bit retro, but it is very clean and well maintained. You can feel like returning in time to 70's, riiviera patina is around you, pleasant atmosphere. Place is quiet, side a main road open to the ocean, with good swimming pool with depth to swim or let small children play without worries. Staff is amazing, ask for Maurice to be your waiter, he is very nice and kind, Food is very good, if you don't expect Michelin restaurant you enjoy it. You get the value for your money here, for sure.

Silver beach is incredible! Food is brilliant, there sure are few options at every meal, 2/3 options of either fish, beef, pork or chicken. Every lunch and dinner are different. Our favourite was anything that was made in their béchamel sauce and their crème caramel. Pork, beef and shellfish are all served together just FYI for any food aversions. Their bar serves local gin, vodka, rum, whiskey and local wine - all made from sugar cane. The beer is Phoenix on tap. We had endless cocktails on the beach and in the bar. Their vanilla rum is amazing. You can snorkel directly from the beach in front of the hotel and lots of beautiful tropical fish. Bring your goggles and flippers, you don’t want to miss it! Bring a good pair of comfortable sandals/aqua socks for long beach walks and days at the pool. Make sure they have good grip as tiles here are slippery when wet. Dinner is more formal and has a dress code-no shorts or slops and a shirt for men. The rooms are cleaned beautifully every day and the linen is good quality. Towels are supplied for the room and beach so no need to bring any with. Vaping is illegal. FYI. No vapes. But smoking is allowed in the designated area. The hotel employees are so hard working and in the heat they deserve a medal. Children are allowed but no child care/kids club and I would not bring babies here, it is hot and humid and lots of fun and loud music and fireworks-all awesome for kids and adults but babies don’t exactly love it. It was so wonderful to be somewhere where we felt so safe anywhere we went. Mauritius is an incredible place and we highly recommend Silver Beach. If I had to give a downside it would be that doing laundry there is seriously expensive.

We purchased the All Inclusive package that includes borrowing the snorkeling gear for free which we enjoyed the most. The Staff are amazing and very friendly! Ziad, Naveen, Kelly, Akshay, Shekhave, Girish, Tivesh, Kaviraj & Jordan (hope I didn't miss anyone). The food was delicious specially the dinner 5 course meal. The hotel isn't that huge and has limited facilities but we had everything we needed (beach + food + drinks). What also made our stay special was the friendliness of the staff and the other guests we met and made friends with. We went to other 5star hotel on the South Coast after we checked out and I must say that the Service is better from Silver Beach Hotel and the beach is better to snorkel. It's good value for money indeed!
The rooms are a little outdated but we had a good Seaview from the balcony. I just wish they have toilet-bidet (I think if not all, but most hotels in Mauritius don't have it). We had the underwater walk tour which was good; but the Catamaran tour seemed a waste of time, we took a boat and they left us at a small Island for over 2 hours to swim. It was hot, no shaded places, no food and no water. We wanted to go back to the boat after few minutes from the time they dropped us but it wasn't an option since the boat crew literally left us and came back to fetch us after 2 hours. Afterwards, we had lunch on the boat and then snorkeling. It was almost a full day trip, pickup 7:30am and we reached the harbor at around 3:30pm.

Right on the cleanest beach we found on Mairitius. Free use of snorkels and kayaks. Plentiful good, rather than great, food. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Only local Phoenix lager for beer and the wine was truly dreadful -- only the rose was even remotely drinkable. The karaoke "entertainment" wasn't that great either.

A lower cost All Inclusive hotel and the first impression was it shows. The reception is basic bordering on barren and the check in welcome wasn't much better. Our sea view room was clean with nice bed clothes and towels, TV, fridge, safe, a/c, WiFi but the room does have a dated look with the furniture newly painted but a drab green colour. The low cost also showed itself in the limited array of choices both at breakfast buffet and dinner. Drinks offered on AI were decent beer, wines, local alcohol with mixers and a small selection of cocktails. The saving graces were the very good white sand beach and stunning blue sea and the staff. The waiters dinner and breakfast, at the bar, even the beach towels chap, all very friendly and efficient, better than some more expensive hotels we've stayed in. All in all good value for money although the repetitive limited range of food might become irksome after 5 days.
