Great location on stunning beaches with top bathing possibilities in the sea. Nice pool area, great baby pool. Food was really good, Mauritian buffet night exceptional. Spa treatment was fantastic.

Potential for „attention to detail“ - e.g. cold towel upon arrival, flower petals on bed or similar. Staff is trained ok and friendly, but service could be a little more welcoming at times.

The property is nice, the beach is very good, the butler was very friendly.

Limited food options, only two restaurants in the hotel, at dinner buffet one of the waitresses placed a bottle of water on our table without asking if we wanted it and then charged us for it, we might have wanted other drinks instead but she never asked.

Based on our experience in travelling, we decided to book a stay at this hotel for 11 nights, in occasion of our 30th wedding anniversary. The locarion is really fantastic, quiet and on the beach, that is really a long one. Many water activities are free of charge (snorkeling, kayaking, windsurs, sailing, etc.), excluded parasailing and donut. Just aside there is a diving center. We stayed in a large double room, with partial view of the ocean. Everything was clean to perfection, a number of room amenities that usually are not provided in other 5* hotels (like Vape against mosquitos, bath salt, a wardrobe room. A personal butler (majordome) was at our service 24h a day for any need. He was so kind and professional. We decided to book for half board: food at dinner is served through a buffet, with a variety of choice every day. So the breakfast. Staff is very gentle, always smiling and attentive, ready to help at all times. The same for the reception, the beach and concierge personnel, where it is possible to book every kind of visit around the island, including activities like cruises with the catamaran, speed boat tour of the islands, etc. In addition, to celebrate our anniversary, the hotel offered us a day cruise of the islands with the cataman. Not only: the last night they offered us a whole chocolate cake To sum up, it has been a fantastic and relaxing experience. We felt cuddled from the first day. Highly recommended!

Very nice elegant hotel with stunning airy lobby hall and a beach like it was made for instagram. Friendly, attentive staff, good food at the varied buffet.

The only annoyance: on check-out, the front desk wanted to charge us for a bag of nuts from the minibar that we hadn't eaten. We were even supposed to acknowledge that we refused to pay. A shameful situation, nothing we could have done wrong - totally unacceptable for a hotel of this price range.

Location, the beach/pool, room itself and interior of the hotel. All was great. Buffet breakfast was great, but would say variety of options was at the lower end of 5* breakfast. Nevertheless, all tasted good

Did not like The Plantation restaurant for a la carte dinner at all. First of all they messed up with our booking, but most importantly quality of the food and overall experience did not correspond to the high prices in their menu. Think we got way better food in less fancy places in Mauritius. Very overpriced restaurant for what you get. Location is great though. Their other restaurant that offered buffet dinner was nice.

Lovely well built colonial style property with gardens designed to attractive native wildlife - date palms were a highlight with the local bats visiting every night. Rooms were very large and well equipped and our garden room had a partial sea view from balcony. The swimming pools were beautifully laid out with quite a few options plus an adult only area and beds to lay under trees in the garden or umbrellas around the pool. Buffet was good morning and evening. Entertainment was local singers and okay. The Chinese New Year show was brilliant. The open bar and lounge area was nice with views out to the sea and restaurant also overlooking the sea. Access to the sea was direct - but a short walk took you to the wide beach with A la Carte restaurant. The sand is beautiful soft and hardly any coral. Plenty of sun beds towels water and attendance on the beach and around the pools. Staff helpful and friendly. Spa was lovely and the gym also very good.

As there were not so many people staying at the hotel on our last 5 days the evening buffet was cancelled and the beach restaurant closed. Then all food was a la carte which we were not so keen on. The menu is a bit limiting and repeated. Also the service was not quite up to standard.

We had a chance to visit several 5 star beach hotels in Mauritius and this one has by far the most beautiful beach with powder white send), very comfortable, classically decorated oceanfront room with stone tile bathroom, elegant lobby in neocolonial style, large spa area, excellent reception, concierge and spa service. I would recommend it for those who don’t want to spend a fortune on a lodging with a flashy name but rather put a focus on the experience. Excellent value for money.

Restaurant staff sometimes seemed unfriendly and disinterested. Only two in-house restaurants.

Very impressive breakfast and dinner buffets! (Worked very well with the 'themed' dinner buffets, e.g. 'Asian', 'Indian' night etc. - and the desserts were to die for ;-) ). Great location with the beautiful private beach! Spacious rooms. Also great service given that we were able to get a late checkout free of charge.

The plantation restaurant was a little weird.. (wouldn't recommend although the food was good). Overall atmosphere at the hotel could have been better.. a little pricy as drinks were not included in the half board.

Excellent staff and hotel was very clean and tidy internally……..the grounds were spacious and the beach location superb

The gardens were in need of a tidy up and this was underway so should look excellent once completed - winter in Mauritius just started (May) so I am sure this will allow the borders to be sorted. The drinks were a little expensive with a small beer at £5 and a nice South African KWV White £39 a bottle

The facilities, location, food, staff, and service are all excellent!

Wifi and Internet access were terrible! I think this is something that the hotel management really needs to focus on, most of the time, the internet was not usable at all, and guests get like 2mbps max, and that's shared with everyone. I think nowadays hotels should, at minimum, offer a stable 10/20mbps internet speed and connectivity, as many of the guests have to attend to business or communicate with family/business during the stay, and unfortunately, this did not go well during our two-week stay.
