Tropical Attitude (Adults Only)

The hotel is for adults only which is great if you want some peace and quiet. We booked a deluxe room on the ground floor which was large and spacious a few metres from the water. The room was well appointed, clean, with a very comfortable bed. The beach towels are lovely (large and good quality). The pool is gorgeous. There is a water fountain near the bar serving filtered water (for free). The staff were very friendly and helpful. There is a coffee and tea station near the entrance with biscuits and herbal water (complimentary). The view of the ocean is amazing. There are thatched umbrellas in front of the rooms offering a place in the shade to relax.

We booked half-board which included breakfast and dinner. Breakfast had a good variety whereas dinner was very basic. We arrived reasonably early for dinner but it felt as if half the selection had been consumed already. The beach in front of the hotel is rocky so you have to walk a bit to find a place to swim (just a bit further from the main hotel - please see photo). The gym is very basic (equipment uses your own body weight to exercise). The hotel is fine for a short stay but if you stay longer you will miss a decent swimming beach.

absolutely loved our stay at tropical attitude! everything feels and looks brand new and it’s small enough so you feel treated like a VIP and with enough space for everyone; the staff was absolutely outstanding, we really felt like in a 5 star hotel! we had the villa with private pool and omg it was a piece of heaven! definitely worth the extra $$$ the hotel offers free boat trips twice a day to ile aux cerfs (which is just breath taking!) and glass bottom boat rides, highly recommend! also absolutely loved the breakfast (great omelette) and the cocktails (best we had on the island) and once again kudos to the whole team for being so outstanding! the surrounding beaches in the east are so beautiful, this was our favorite part of the island! plus points also for their eco approach, avoiding single use plastic!

The food besides the breakfast was honestly mediocre and really a bit disappointing for the price. the beach in front of the hotel is not really for swimming and unfortunately you can’t walk for kilometers around the beach, so you always need a car.

The location is very nice and cozy, the view on the lagoon and mountains in the background is really evocative. The place was quiet and relaxing as I rarely experienced before (most probably also due to the adults only format). Staff members were very kind and discrete but not always accurate after our requests (But this is not a real issue). Food overall is good with a broad selection of local dishes specially for lunch. Last but not least, the environmental approach is admirable. The hotel embrace a "green attitude" were they banned one time use plastic and waste of food and started multiple green initiatives together with the support of local production and artisans.

We had the all inclusive option (which we suggest). Although, it was not always clear what was included or not in the offer, especially for the food. The overall quality of food was very good with few exceptions. Also, for dinner we would have appreciated couple more options.

The view from the hotel is great. The common areas are very nice, the half board option is good. Try the restaurant with the Mauritian food, very good and cosy, which is included in the half board option. The breakfast and dinner have a lot of options, for the dinner you have a mix of meals from Mauritius, European and Asian styles. The hotel proposes also a boat trip to Île aux Cerfs, or a snorkeling trip in front of the hotel, it is included in the price you pay. It is good to book in advance the boat trips to make sure you have a spot.

Rooms are a bit dark, I guess it is because we were in the lower floor.

Their ethos on protecting the environment and ban on single use plastic! Needs to be supported! The incredible sea views from the rooms. The DELICIOUS food - so, so yummy and so much choice. So much free stuff! Drinking water, snorkelling, boat trips, different flavoured teas and biscuits… The street food van!! Omg such yummy food. The coffee! You get local ground coffee and a little cafetiere for your room and it’s soooo nice - some of the best coffee I’ve ever had. Everything they use is locally made/grown which I LOVE. They have a ‘departure lounge’ with comfy seats, drinks, a shower etc if your flight is late and you have already checked out. I wish every hotel had one of these!

The cleanliness - there were stains on my towels and sheets which I didn’t like. The pool was dirty every day.

The hotel is positioned on the bay, which was beautiful. The hotel has a very chilled, relaxed vibe and I admire their efforts to recycle and minimise use of plastics. Most of the staff were very friendly and helpful. Nazimah created some amazing animal towel creations, which were fun to discover every day. We had a fabulous massage from the ladies in the spa...so relaxing! Alice in the boutique, in particular, was very kind and empathetic after a recent bereavement and I really enjoyed my chats with her and a goodbye hug when we left, which I really appreciated. The restaurant manager even arranged for some sandwiches to take to the airport on our way home. Again, such a helpful and kind thing to do for us. The staff make the hotel!

We thought that the bar was a little small, a little dated, and not particularly well designed for the staff or customers. A redesign would be nice. I struggled a bit with the food sometimes as there wasn't always a good selection of vegetarian food, but I understand that had I asked the chef for something in particular, he would have happily made it for me, I just don't like to make a fuss! I also struggled to get a fresh decaf coffee most of the time, which I really missed, because caffeine makes me ill. That's quite common though wherever you go, so just a minor thing. The room was lovely but a little tired in places. These are all pretty minor things though and more suggestions than complaints, as we did really enjoy our stay.

Just finished our 6 day stay at tropical attitude, trou d' eau douce . Thoroughly enjoyed our stay with them. Clean rooms , very hospitable staff , decent food spread for breakfast and dinner buffet. Can't complain much about the view , all rooms are sea facing except for private villas ( which have their own private pools). The hotel has a shuttle boat service twice a day from the hotel to a another island ( Ile de Cerfs ) which have plenty of water sports. If you're looking for some peace and quite from monotonous everyday work life , I would highly recommend Tropical attitude . Staff are highly proactive and love to go that extra mile just to make your stay more enjoyable. For example , even though we reached late for lunch , hotel staff Mr. Arvin made it a point we don't go hungry and provided us with a club sandwich. Small gestures like this , made our vacation more memorable with tropical attitude Kudos to Tropical Attitude and their team. See you soon 👍🏽 (Ps: We paid a very small price for late check-out 😊)

Beautiful, quiet, eco-friendly hotel in a calm, lovely area. View from the room was spectacular, overlooking the turquoise ocean. Deepa , our cleaning lady, did the best job every single day, the room was always spotless. Staff was very nice and helpful. Three activities such as snorkelling or boat to Ile aux Cerfs were awesome advantages. But the most important thing, Fifi the dog.She absolutely made our stay at the Tropical Attitude. Huge thanks to the hotel for treating her with such a good care

Wifi was not working for 5 days. Breakfast was quite poor, monotonous with not the most variety. We tried dinner at the hotel restaurant once and it was a big disappointment, food was completely tasteless

Very nice and calm place to stay in Mauritius! Rooms are big, well equipped and comfortable. Variety of food and great staff make your memories amazing :) A huge advantage of taking care of the planet, not use plastic etc. it makes me feel very good to be a part of it :) Plenty of things to do at the hotel and organizes by the hotel. Special greets for VIKASH :)

Gym is useless :( Maybe you can think about something more proper so someone can use it. Also ping-pong equipment is in bad condition. Very pity that snorkeling is only once per day, it’s not so easy to fit into schedule.

Really loved the no plastic policy it made a big difference, loved the villa we had and the garden was very private no one could see into it from other villas. It was a chilled, calm place and wasn’t far from a few good restaurants.

The shower in the back of the villa had a glass back and we were told don’t worry no one can see in and mid shower on my second day some men were climbing on the roof of another building to do maintenance I think and no one told us they could see me clear as day showering so I had to quickly leave and close the shutters. We planned to go on the boats trips offered by the hotel and planned our week around going one day and on the day it got cancelled and by then we couldn’t book anything else.
