Exceptional views and value/perfect location to transport/ Blue Bay/shopping/waterfront. Owners are always ready to assist. We fell in love with Mahébourgh. Will be back.

There are upgrades that can be done, but that would affect the price. I would much rather have it as is. We were not looking or paying for a 5 star hotel.

We had a room literraly facing the ocean a few meters away from the water, from our room it felt like we were in the middle of the ocean. We enjoyed our night with the sound of the little waves :) The bedroom is quite big with 2 balconies Breakfast is simple but OK for the price.

The bathroom belongs to a museum, it needs to be completely refurbished. We didnt feel comfortable in it. If you are not into indou athmoshpere, the breakfast and reception area might disturb you. Furnitures are outdated.

Staff was very friendly. Great location, near the ocean. Small pool, but nice. Very cozy garden. Very good beds.

The only issues are: - breakfast can be improved, only bread, gem, butter, coffee, yougurt and one banana per person. - there was no shower gel in the bathroom. There can be lots of cheap options for shower gel.

Excellent location right on the sea with a large garden, steps down the the sea and a nice swimming pool. Very pleasant balconies with views over the sea and verdant backdrop. Rooms attractively decorated with comfortable beds. Bathrooms a bit dated with individual electric showers (that have been recently upgraded) and shower curtains. Three or four parking spaces off the road outside the building. Breakfast basic but adequate - maybe a little variety might be a good idea (different juice/fruit)? Good supermarket (London Way) only five or ten minute walk away going south, restaurants and shops similar distance going north. Bus station and centre of town about 15 minutes by foot. In my view the best beach on the island is quite close at Pointe D'Esny - buses go from outside Coco Villa otherwise by car, if you have one, about 5 minutes drive. Bikes can be hired from a shop just around the corner from the guesthouse.

Few electric sockets in the rooms - in the two rooms I stayed in, the socket in the first had a plug stuck into it so couldn't be used. In the second room the socket in the bathroom didn't work. A bit difficult to keep one's gadgets charged!

First of all the location is really nice. The Coco Villa is close to the center of Mahébourg, though directly at the ocean. Furthermore, the owner was really accommodating. I arrived very early in the morning and I had to catch my flight early the next day. Thus, I could not have breakfast on my last day. Alternatively I was allowed to have it on my arrival day, being already there in the morning. Additionally, I did a tour on my arrival day. Though before the tour started, it was not possible to get into the room yet. It was no problem the leave the bag at the reception, with him keeping an eye on it. Hence, my stay at the Coco Villa was really worthwhile and I recommend it for all looking for something close to the airport.

Overall my stay was really nice. The only thing I can mention is a rather strange smell coming from a small thing they put into the bathroom sink for hygiene or cleaning purposes. Other than that everything was fine.

Room in the second floor. Views from balcony. Good location, close to waterfront. Close to town,market,restaurants, parking space. Good value for money we pay. Next time i would stay at least 5 days in Mahebourg to see more of its surroundings

Ants, but thats when you have food outside. Wind, its almost still windy.. Breakfast could be better..but i knew how its gonna be from other reviews

Location is amazing.5 min walk from a big supermarket and 2 min walk from small shops.Restaurants and weekly markets are like 5 min walk.Quiet area and super easy to go at Blue Bay by bus(super easy). Inside the accomodation you have plenty of places where you can sit and read,relax or just meditate.In the evening is a pure pleasure to stay in the balcony and have a wine.

I stayed 5 nights there since I booked aomething cheap just to have a place to shower and sleep.I was in a cycling holiday around the island and this place was perfect for the amount you pay!To be honest,I think I cannot really say something bad about this place.Foe this money is perfect!

The breakfast was always in time and adapt sometimes to my need.we have choices regarding the breakfast too

The WiFi is not accessible everywhere mainly your room, but has a place outside for everyone to be connected

This hotel is a 10 in my book.I think it is a family run business and very home like.. Everything is efficient and friendly. They went over and beyond the ‘call of duty’ I would stay here over a big fancy expensive hotel .Will be back and stay longer.

The door to balcony was stuck and heavy without handles and very difficult to open

Arrived earlier than our check in time. Initially thought we could get the bus/ walk from the airport. So pleased we decided to rent a car instead - 10 minute, easy drive from the airport. Parking just outside on the road. There are 2 allocated spaces for guests and on street parking also. Left our bags with the hosts and had a little room + shower/ toilet to get changed in. Walked to Mahebourg Monday market- absolutely massive, selling everything you could possibly think of. Check in was smooth - paid in cash (MUR). Room 202 has everything you need - bed, wardrobe, fridge, kettle, cutlery, sofa. Air con works very well. Safe we could not get to work, but if we asked could have probably found out. Tv turned on but had 2 pin electricity point for freeview box. All sockets in room are 3 point (UK style) so make sure you bring an adapter or else won’t be able to watch tv. Shower is brilliant - powerful and great temperature. Decor is slightly dated and some signs of wear and tear, but would definitely recommend for a good nights sleep, close to the airport and very cheap! So can’t complain. Lovely view of the ocean from balcony. Pool very refreshing for an afternoon dip, and poolside area clean with lots of places to chill. Very quiet and peaceful location with nice breeze. 5 minute drive to Point D’Esny beach - white sand and clear waters. Breakfast served between 8-9am. Fresh baguette, tea/ coffee, fruit juice, banana, yoghurt. Filling and included in your nightly accommodation price. Overall, has a chilled and relaxed vibe with lots of quirky and unique touches all around the hotel. Thank you so much to the Coco Villa family for having us!
