Amazing location on the Hibiscus beach, the view from our suite, the direct access onto the sandy beach for a refreshing walk or a relaxing lay down, plunging in the turquoise sea water… and much more, simply fantastic. We loved the exclusivity and privacy of the Shangri-La resort, it has its own virgin island, a short boat ride away, lots of free sea activities and payable ones. Enjoyed the walk around the resort, the boat trips from its Jetty. All in all: a wonderful place to enjoy memorable time on a picturesque beach. The luxurious and indulging treatment was great, all staff practice a heartfelt welcoming gesture and smiles, offer help and service. We also enjoyed the attention to details inside the rooms and all over the nicely designed resort. If you adore greenery and local culture, then this resort offers you an abundance of both to taste. We really appreciated the nice gestures the management offered us to our anniversary: the gifted cake, drinks and flower-decoration of our bed. We also enjoyed the variety of restaurants and music entertainment. Finally: I might miss out more positive experience , but can highly recommend othe Shangri-La for a couple or family in Mauritius

This is a spectacular hotel. From check-in to check-out you will find nothing but smiles and genuinely helpful staff. They manage to be extremely helpful and relaxed at the same time which makes for a very pleasant experience. I will not mention anyone in particular as EVERYONE I met was wonderful. The property is very well maintained and laid out on beautiful grounds. Despite being distinctly up-market, it's not snobby/posh; this is what true luxury is all about. It's big enough to ensure complete privacy, but small enough to remain intimate. I, as well as the rest of the family (including two kids 11 and 14 yoa) just wished we would have stayed longer. We stayed in connecting Frangipani club rooms, which were very nicely appointed with all creature comforts you could reasonably wish for. I loved this hotel, quite possibly the best hotel in the tropics. At least the best I've been to. (My benchmark may be limited, but includes the best Beachcombers, Four Seasons' and Contances of this world.) I will return to this hotel every year until I get too old to travel. You should too. Thank you!

If you like breaking ocean waves, this might not be the ideal spot, as the lagoon is very well protected. This also goes for the private beaches the hotel keeps on the islands of Mangenie and Cerf. (Though note to be missed, they are lovely!)

The location is very beautiful and quite. We got a beautiful room with beach access and we loved it. Breakfast buffet was fantastic. Staff is amazing and helpful, all of them went beyond expectations. They spoiled us and our daughter with so many attentions. We couldn’t choose better place.

the dinner buffet was really nice. However if you stay more than one week you can notice the rotation of same dishes. When we did check in they didn’t explain us about the resort, the private island of the resort (wonderful!), different restaurants and facilities.

Exceptional Service The hotel is modern and impeccably clean. The service is extraordinarily personal, with staff going above and beyond to ensure guest comfort. Every request was promptly fulfilled. Warm Welcome Upon arrival, we were escorted to a beautiful lobby with comfortable seating and chilled drinks while the check-in process was handled seamlessly, a refreshing change from usual check-in queues. Outstanding Staff Special mentions: Our Butlers: Odesh and Clarel, who ensured we never lacked anything. Iqbal Goolfee (SM Duty Manager), Jessan Kadun (Front Office Manager), Hassen (Guest Relations Manager), and the front office team, including Dinesh and Clarette, who anticipated our needs. Deepak, who was incredibly helpful and informative. Concierge and Activities The concierge team was welcoming, patient, and knowledgeable, handling our booking requests and last-minute cancellations with grace. CHI SPA The CHI SPA is phenomenal, with luxurious facilities and attentive staff, especially Geraldine. The delicious teas and premium L'Occitane toiletries were delightful. Dining Experience The food was outstanding. Le Bazar offered a wide variety of cuisines each evening, with plenty of vegetarian options. Breakfast included fresh South Indian Dosa and Aaloo Parathas. Saffron restaurant served exceptional Indian food, with special thanks to Chef Ahmed, Umesh, and Dev. Recreational FacilitiesThe well-maintained tennis courts and clean swimming pools were impressive. The beach service, including cold water, towels, fresh fruit, and sorbet, was excellent. The white sandy beach was perfect for barefoot walks. Private Island:Shangri-La’s private island, accessible via a short boat ride, is serene and immaculate. The facilities and staff made it an ideal place to relax.

it won’t lower the rating but they need to fix the ocean view rooms as many things are broken, we had the shower splashing water and sink won’t drain it’s on the beach so I understand the heavy usage but nonetheless need attention

Exceptional levels of proactive service and customer care. I much appreciated the hospitality, and the quality of facilities and delivery of services. The staff members provide exceptional service that is both friendly and professional, helping to make guests’ stay as pleasant and comfortable as possible. I much appreciated the hospitality and professionalism of the butler service ( Mr Kevin , Mr Sada ) the 24-hour reception services ( Mr Sylvio, Mr Mahfooz , Mr Sadien ) the front desk managers Mr Jessan or Mme Jessica the duty manager. Daily housekeeping was exceptional .. a special thanks to Mr Surajsing and Mr Sanjiv . The restaurants are excellent! The breakfast at the two restaurants is very good and tasty! The breakfast on the beach is just a perfect way to start the day ! Mr Ponnen thank you for the great coffee and care ! The spa is very nice and has trained masseuses, gyms with personal trainers. The live entertainment was excellent and the Happy hour was a great time to meet new people and socialize on the beach .

A dream come true. These are the only words I can use to sum up such a perfect hotel. Everything was impeccably pristine and each experience was world class. We will be forever grateful to the staff and management at the hotel for giving us incredible memories.
