Accommodations overall resturants pool bars servers rooms all excellent

You booking.com need to post a disclosure to warn guest who choose to pay at the resort with cash they do not accept American money you must convert to pesos with the bank rep in the hotel the conversion for that day made me pay an additional $127 for my stay. I felt it was very deceitful because the staff doesn't warn you either that this may happen and their resolve to my disappointment was to leave the resort 🤬 which of course I was in no position to do that 😳

the property and everyone were so wonderful!

it was Booking.com. Booking through booking.com. I ended up needing to pay hefty additional charges when I arrived at the resort which put a damper on my attitude starting the vacation

The staff was exceptional! Very comfortable atmosphere. Very clean facility.

The food choice in the specialty restaurants could be better. More selections would be nice! The competing music by the pool was also an issue—the swim-up pool bar vs the DJ by the other pool.

staff was nice

the room was half cleaned when arrived . The bed when I say the bed is hard as a brick like I thought I was in bed rock that was miserable for me for the whole week I could not get comfortable to save my life. My legs would hurt. And let’s not even talk about the size of the roaches that was on the property they were size of grasshoppers that’s how big these roaches are

The staff were incredibly helpful and attentive. Always asking if we needed anything and service was quick. The rooms were very clean and stocked with water/drinks. The food was great and plenty of different options. The best meal I had was the steak at the steak restaurant on site. Surf and turf option. They had an extensive list of drinks and cocktails to try. My wife and I were there for our babymoon and were very happy with our choice.

The only complaint I have is that they weren’t letting Ubers drive to the property to pick us up. We had to walk across the bridge to the first security point to get Ubers. They allowed them to drop us off at the entrance though. The taxi service was charging 2-3 times the rate that the Uber for the same destination.

The rooms and facilities are beautiful and comfortable: tasteful, modern design, from the bathrooms to the spa to the pools. There was a wide variety of dining options, and the main buffet was excellent, with tons of options. The staff were exceedingly courteous, with a lovely entertainment team. Finally, the setting is gorgeous, with large infinity pools and a stupendous view on the ocean, with frequent whale sightings right in front of the hotel!

With drinks freely available all day, a few guests overindulged, but the hotel staff were pretty adept at managing them. The evening shows were fun, but pretty loud; it didn't bother me personally but I know it affected some people's sleep. The beach was lovely, but not many guests seemed to spend time there, probably because peddlers were constantly trying to sell them things. The only thing I would ask the management to change, though, would be to add a sun shade or curtain to the gym's glass wall; it got pretty hot for people exercising in front of it when the sun was shining directly in.

The RIU Palace Baja California (not to be confused with the other two Riu’s in the same location like our taxi driver did) is great. Any of the reviews saying otherwise either went during the peak of spring break or think too highly of themselves. The hotel grounds are clean and well maintained, the rooms are modern, clean, and comfortable, there are 3 pools (2 with a swim up bar) beach access with staff who bring you an umbrella and will bring you drinks, 6 restaurant options, a cafe, burger/taco stand, more bars, and anything else you need for a good time. The food was what you should expect, great if you ask them to make you something, brilliant if it’s local, average if it’s been sitting in the buffet for a while. You get access to the other property for the parties, which means if you don’t want to party, it’s ok to chill. The staff were amazing, super friendly and attentive. Being a 30min walk from the main town made it accessible and a bit of exercise to walk off all the drinks/tacos. A lot of the other guests were also super friendly and made the whole experience great.

I couldn’t find whether they had any stand up paddle boards but I didn’t look very hard…

The resort is well managed. Great staff and attention to guest needs. The parties (Neon, White, Pink) were amazing! We felt like we were in a movie given the high level of production. In addition to having a great time at these parties, we appreciated the security/safety details that kept the parties fun yet under control. Any attempts at bad or disruptive behavior were shut down immediately. The pool activities were also a lot of fun. There was always something fun going on. The resort had a great, friendly vibe and we felt included and part of the scene. The rooms were large, comfortable and well appointed. The breakfast was very good.

Other than breakfast, the food was mediocre to just plain bad. A lot of fried food, unhealthy food. Room service food was terrible. We ate in every restaurant (Elite status) and found them all to be pretty bad. The steaks were pretty good and the fish of the day could be fine, but in general, we had a difficult time with the food. In addition, the wine selection was very poor. We finally went into town and bought some wine. If the food/wine had been better, it would have significantly changed my overall rating.

There will be a hard partying, meat-market element. However, I took my wife and 18 Y.O. daughter and we had a great time. Our last night there was an hour long drunken fight on our floor at 3:00 AM. I don’t think the hotel did anything about it. However, we had a great week and we would all like to go back.

They over-serve alcohol to the point of being reckless. I mentioned the 3:00 AM fight. A guy belly flopped off the pool bar in my daughter’s face at 4:00 PM. A drunk, heavy, sun burned man, who trying to woo an equally drunk woman, backed onto my lap in the pool.

The Staff- so pleasant, always with a smile, treated us like we were their own family. I’ve never encountered this type of hospitality in my life. Beautiful people from a beautiful country, their work values and care is so inspiring. This trip changed my whole aspect in life on what I want to be people. I will forever be grateful. Much love to Jeanette (my absolute favorite we love her) Cesar, Omar and Gloria. The housekeepers was amazing and very sweet. Food was exceptional. Overall experience from every department of staff to the resort was exceptional.

There wasn’t one thing I could complain about honestly.
