Great, small hotel on the far end of the Malecon. We enjoyed everything about the place, and do not agree at all with some of the negative comments posted about Club El Moro. Check your heads people, you’re in another country. The one thing we would wish for is that the pool be heated, but that’s not common in La Paz and we knew what to expect. For those needing their all inclusive experience, go to Cabo San Lucas instead, pay 4 times as much and enjoy the aggressive hawkers, wasted Americans and tacky hotels. La Paz is for people looking for something more meaningful, and the El Moro is a clean, comfortable, peaceful, inexpensive and authentic hotel to stay while exploring the amazing area.

The hotel was located on one end of the malecon, so that was perfect! I got a 2 bed family suite with a balcony and views of the pool. We loved it. The room was large enough to feel like a condo. It was equipped with pots and pans ,coffee maker, microwave, and toaster. The restaurant next to the hotel had great breakfast and the seafood place next to us had great food too. The kids loved the pool. I brought my own speaker to listen to music, and there was no issue. The staff was friendly and helpful. Beds and pillows were not the most comfortable, but they were clean and did the job. This place exceeded my expectations for sure! I would definitely come back and stay here.

Everything was superb: the staff was attentive and even anticipated my needs; cleanliness was over the top great indoors and out - staff clearly take exceptional pride in their work; atmosphere was quiet and classy (it's not a touristy party spot, which suits me just fine); the beautiful and dreamy Moorish architecture and landscape design evoke a North African desert oasis; kitchenette was clean and well-equipped. Location is ideal - right on the Malecon, but far enough from the more crowded commercial end to be quiet, and an easy walk if you want to get there. The on-site restaurant - Vrentino's - has great food and bakes scrumptious pastries and breads on-site. Room rates very affordable. They even have two resident cats!

The only thing that needs improvement is the size of the water heater in the unit - the hot water runs out after 3-4 minutes in the shower (I compensated by letting it trickle and showering fast). Considering all the other things on the plus side, this is small potatoes.

The view from our room was incredible, you could see the Malecon and if you kept the door closed the street traffic wasn't an interference. The facilities were amazing from the pool to access to activities and the restaurant (though I found the restaurant a bit pricey). Everyone was super friendly and helpful and the laundry service was impeccable and extremely fast.

There are cheaper food options outside from the hotel and a short walk away.

We stayed in El Moro for two nights and its location and facilities are perfect for exploring the beaches north of La Paz. Unfortunately, we didn't have time to use the pool, but it looked very clean and cute. Our room are spacious and clean, with nice terraces and equipped with a lot of utilities like microwave or cutlery for example. Next to the Hotel there is an outstanding breakfast place.

The parking can get quite busy, so keep this in mind if you arrive by car. Other than that, I can say that this was a very pleasant stay, and I would recommend choosing El Moro.

We loved our stay at Hotel & Suites El Moro! The staff was really nice and helpful! Everything was excellent and the pool was always clean as the same our suite, the staff every day clean and kept the suite really clean! The bakery has delicious bred and pastry, we bought every morning! It is now our preferred hotel in La Paz! Thank you so much for making our stay enjoyable and safe! La Paz has friendly and educated people! All in all our vacation in La Paz is unforgettable! I give a 100 starts to Hotel & Suites El Moro! I really recommended it!

Close to the Malecon, beautiful grounds, comfortable room.

We booked this hotel when my husband got food poisoning and we could not stay at our AirBnB another night. Even though I explained this to the staff they made us wait until 3pm to check in. I expected them to get our room ready and let us check in early given the circumstances. we sat by the pool, close to the banos but would have appreciated them bending the rules a little.

Hotel was quite expect for one of the 4 nights we were there. A guest had a dog and it barked. We ate one morning at the attached restaurant and it was a good breakfast. The room had a kitchen with toaster, microwave, full fridge/freezer and coffee maker.

We were there in the slow 'season so we were able to park in front, Don't know if they have another lot. The boardwalk in La Paz is 5 miles long. The hotel is at the far end away from everything. Since it was the season we were able to park in town and walk around.

Exceptionally clean! Key points to note for travelers that don’t transfer in the pictures: the style of the property gives you an intimate vibe of white moorish architecture of Tunisia which in this beautiful natural landscape works well. it’s on the end of the hustle of the Malecon, easy to get to and from the center and great to shoot up to the pristine beaches.

The pool was decent, the stairs were a bit too far apart and it was somewhat difficult to climb, the jacuzzi was a bit small and seemed stained. I would have loved to have an outdoor shower to rinse off at, however the bathrooms right next to the pool were perfect. Also, they loan you pool towels if you forget to take any! The restaurant did not have A/C, however they did what they could with what they had. The room was exactly as depicted, actually better, the couches were more modern than in the photos, watching the sunset from that balcony or from inside in the A/C was absolutely wonderful!

The bathroom had a very low window, which we maintained open while using the restroom or showering to keep the air flow. However this made using the restroom uncomfortable, with passing neighbors. Fortunately, I took a handheld fan which helped with the heat, and got used to the neighbors passing by since they were all women.
