Lovely stay - 5 days of relaxation away from the hustle in Cabo- this is my favorite secret hotel in San Jose. 2 minute walk to the Plaza in front of cathedral and enjoy the evening with local families- best tamales there at the stand and churros too1 Lovely pool and staff. quiet rooms and safe parking. I love this place and return often.

Location was great for night life and shopping etc. Staff was helpful, recommended a delicious, local seafood restaurant called Toro Guerro. They also arranged for a shuttle the next morning, expect to pay approx $35, which is the going rate as of 2/2021. Pool looked nice, with a swim up bar, it appeared, but it was closed due to covid. All and all, solid place to stay.

Rooms were a little out dated.

I had a great time at this hotel, which felt like one of the most "normal" places in the area. (Note that I love Mexico but am not really a resort person.) Really low airfare and the thought that COVID would be more under control by early November convinced me to book this solo trip back in the summer. As it turned out, the second wave was just building up steam as my departure date rolled around. I had a need for some sun, surf, and seafood and decided to go anyway--and was very glad that I did. The hotel and town were very careful with the safety procedures, although I stayed away from the Thursday night art walk after seeing all the families walking around without masks. My room was well worn but very comfortable and clean, with a TV, wifi, and AC that worked fine. The staff members were all sweethearts, the restaurant was good, and the grounds and pool were beautiful (and most of the time not taken over by uncontrolled children). It was easy to get a shared van ($16 one way) or bus ($4.25) to and from the airport. I stuck around the immediate area, enjoying the plaza and the art district and the easy 20-minute walk down a palm-lined street to the wonderful beaches (Costa Azul, Playa del Estero). There are wonderful places to eat of all types and prices and some great rooftop and patio bars.

Everything was very nice and relaxing. For years, I have skipped by Los Cabos, because it always seemed too "gringoland-ish" for my taste. And while even San Jose did strike me a little like a Californian vision of what Mexico should be, it turned out to be a very pleasant, laid-back place to spend a few days. (I don't know if that applies to Cabo San Lucas as well, as I only viewed it from the other side of the beach.)

The location is great! The staff are super nice. The restaurant is very good. The price is right! Overall the hotel is a very good value, but could use some updates in the rooms.

Reminded me of old mexico. Quaint, clean and relaxing. Definitely not touristy. Will go back in a heartbeat.

Great location, close to downtown Plaza San Jose Del Cabo, shopping, art shops, restaurants. Good food at their on-site restaurant with a full bar. Beds were very comfortable.

The rooms do not have a refrigerator.
