Great breakfast, great staff, lovely facilities, particularly the rooftop deck.

Given the room description on Booking.com, I was expecting a room with a private patio and a fireplace (as described in the room description). However my room had neither. I believe this is the fault of Booking.com, because when I complained to the hotel they showed me the reservation they got from Booking.com, which listed the room I was in, and not the room with the listed amenities. I was very disappointed by this, but my room was fine. I should also note that I found it impossible to complain about the room on the booking.com website, and was unable, despite multiple tries, to contact anyone at booking.com by either chat or phone.

great location; walking distance to all the local attractions, restaurants, etc. taxis also available at all times & very reasonable (standard fare 70 pesos from anywhere). the property is beautiful and extremely well appointed, with attention to details in every corner. the front desk/concierge jorge bautista started helping me days before we arrived. he personally picked up a bouquet of flowers for my wife's surprise breakfast in bed and made all of our reservations for attractions, restaurants, etc. he's a native and all of his personal recommendations were excellent. tomas helped us on our arrival and although we didn't see him again, he made sure our car was safely parked and we were all ready for a night of comfort and rest. homero took his place for the rest of our stay and made sure to take care of our every need. i can't remember this kind of personal attention by the staff of any hotel, including 5-star hotels in new york, san francisco, etc

wifi was not consistent.

The property is beautiful! Quite a small boutique hotel but very picturesque. There is a terrace where guests can bring their own drinks or food, since they do not have a bar or restaurant on site. The view is beautiful from it though and lots of seating. The staff is very attentive and welcoming. They are willing to help with anything you may need on your stay. There is a light breakfast included, which was very convenient since the hotel is about 10 minutes on foot from most restaurants/cafes.

The only thing people should consider before booking is the fact that the hotel in on a hill. The walk up can be a struggle for some. The price, overall location and quality of the hotel made it up for us. But do keep in mind.

We had a wonderful stay- the hotel is beautiful and the staff was so helpful and friendly. Our room was very comfortable and spacious. The rooftop lounge area was a nice place to catch the sunset with a gorgeous view. We loved walking into the center of town and didn’t mind the steep hill on the way home too much. It was good exercise!

The breakfast could have had more options. We are Vegan so we couldn’t eat the pastries. Some fresh fruit would have been nice. Also, the hot tub was really nice the first night, but felt a little dirty. The second night the water was very cloudy so we didn’t go in.

An enjoyable stay at Mansion San Miguel. The property was in a nice quiet part of town which offered great views over the town. It is a little bit out of the center (10 mins walk the main square) and uphill coming back, but it was safe and to avoid the hills a bit you can take calles Piedras Chinas and Garza instead of Huertas. The room was a good size and very cosy - in fitting with the style of San Miguel. The rooftop was a very nice place to enjoy the view and the hot tub. Homero was on hand each day to ensure guests enjoyed their stay and to help with their needs. All in all a very peaceful place to relax and enjoy San Miguel!

It was a bit of shame that despite having a very nice rooftop and bar area, that there was no place to get a drink at the hotel. Most guesthouses I've stayed in Mexico offered some kind of minibar or communal drinks fridge. Just would have been nice to have enjoyed a drink on the rooftop at sunset that's all!

Beautiful property with cozy, clean and well equipped rooms. Bottles water provided each day and A/C and heating are available in the room. The rooftop terrace is great for views of the town and the neighborhood is quiet. Friendly staff.

The rooms are right next to walkways with windows facing the courtyard so basically you had to keep the windows closed at all times. The room was small and didn’t have good storage built in.

Great secret- the sunset views from the rooftop here are better than the best rooftops in downtown. Plus there is a hot tub and you don't have to spend a bunch of money on food you can have your own sunset picnic. Rooms were big. Continental breakfast was not stingy like many hotels (Casa Hoyos has a terrible breakfast for example). Ample fruit, high quality granola, good portions of yogurt. Attentive staff rushing to bring you everything you need. Nice biscuits. The walk up the hill is a good workout so if you have mobility issues this might not be the stay for you. I liked the exercise.

Better drainage in shower but I am sure that can be fixed!

The rooftop deck was a fantastic place to relax and enjoy views of SMA. Our room was spacious. Fresh fruit in the morning was delicious and so was the coffee. The location is quiet and a pleasant walk to the center.

I felt like communication could have been better. At the time I booked, I don’t recall parking being an extra 200 MXN per day. The included breakfast is fresh fruit, yogurt, granola and two small pastries. Hot menu items like eggs can be purchased for an additional fee. It would be nice to be informed this upon check in. We only found this out from other guests. The WiFi was weak and intermittent from our room. Towels by the jacuzzi were not restocked for at least two days. The credit card machine was down when we checked out. This always seems a little suspicious. We really enjoyed the property, but there are small improvements in service and amenities that would make the experience a 10/10.

Beautiful building with a courtyard and roof top. Room was big and nice. Hotel was quiet and secure.

Breakfast provided (yogurt, fruit, granola, toast) was tasty but more options would have been nice. Room was a little far from central SMDA. The walk was pretty long and uphill. Some stretches of the walk were pretty desolate which wasn’t great at night at a single female traveler. I never was unsafe but would have been more comfortable in an area with a little more foot traffic.

Quiet , clean, relaxing , with a great view of sunset from the rooftop deck and hot tub. Small and personal hotel. Very walkable to Benito Juarez park ,churches, many restaurants and crafts shops. The staff, especially Tomás, went above and beyond to help all the guests. Breakfast was very filling.

Tiny detail only for a suggestion: Coffee could be improved
