The host was fantastic! Friendly, informative, and helpful in so many ways - from suggesting places to visit and eat to arranging a shuttle ride back to the QRO airport. Diego the cat was so sweet and an extra treat to help us feel welcome and relaxed. The breakfasts were authentic, delicious and different each day. The place is colorful, unique, and impeccably clean, with an serene inner courtyard garden. Each room is unique and very tastefully decorated, with carved wooden doors and colorful tiled bathrooms. Don’t miss the rooftop terrace with a great view of the city!

The beds were a little hard for our preference.

Casa Frida is a wonderful B&B. It is clean. with well equipped rooms and the staff were extremely welcoming & helpful. It had good, free wifi connectivity and useful extras such as a heater and extra blanket when the temperature dropped one night during our stay. It is a short walk to the Mirador viewing point although there are great views from the property’s own roof terraces. We would happily stay here again.

We stayed in the ‘Monet room’ which had a particularly small double bed. It would be worth clarifying the description of the bed in this particular room on the Booking.com site.

It was such a beautiful place. Truly relaxing atmosphere, one of the nicest stays in Mexico so far on our trip. The staff were amazing, let us check in early and gave us loads of recommendations which all turned out amazing ❤️. The room was sooo comfortable and relaxing and clean. The breakfast was also sensational. Can’t recommend this place enough :).

The hotel was a very nice place. Clean. Friendly staff, I love the location because you could see the town from the roof but to go downtown and come back is very tired to go up and also the only thing is that it was veo cold at night. We needed more blankets. Other than that, it was a great stay. And great and healthy breakfast. Thank you

It was too cold at night. We need more blankets.

I loved staying at Casa Frida. It's a big, traditional property up on a hill overlooking the city. It's beautiful and spacious and very comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful, and the rooftop view worth the trek (or taxi ride) up to the location. The breakfast was exceptional - some of the best Mexican food I've had during my 3 week stay in Mexico.

It was as expected from the photos and description so there was nothing I didn't like.

Beautiful buildings, terraces and gardens. Well appointed bedroom, with very comfortable bed. We stayed in "Matisse", a very large room, and a tub in the bathroom. The breakfast was delicious, all the staff very friendly and attentive. Diego the house cat usually around to greet you and to say hi!. Just 20 min walk to the centre of town, a bit of a steep hill, but if it's too much, then get a taxi (plentiful & cheap). Would highly recommend and would return.

Nothing really. you would have to be very picky to find fault. As or exceeded the description.

The breakfast was excellent every day and there was good variety. The host and staff were very personable, I was given great recommendations for a variety of needs (Barber, dining, etc. After two years of Covid, working from home and needing to get my groove back, this was the perfect place for a much needed mental health break. My room was perfect.

This isn't a complaint, but the B & B is situated on a steep hill; this is fine walking toward the town, not so much coming back. It's probably just me and my 60+ year-old body. Luckily, taxis and Uber are a girl's best friend!

Everything was beautiful, but going to the roof terrace at night was magical. What a view!

It is a bit removed from the centre, but ultimately this also had its advantages (see gorgeous view of the entire city from above).

Nice charming house with personality, nice outdoor area, great breakfast, big rooms. Cute housecat. Owner is very helpful and ready to give information. House is in a quiet neighborhood , so ideal if you need silence at night. It is quite a walk to town and it's quite high up. The added value of this is that you get to see San Miguel from a side alot of people staying downtown don't see. It's a nice scenic walk down. Getting up is exhausting though, unless you like the challenge I'd advise to take a uber or taxi, which is quite affordable here.

The bathroom in my room could have used a more thorough cleaning. I wanted to take a bath but had to clean it myself first because there was a lot of hair and leftover product from previous guests sticking to the walls.
