The staff at the Riad truly bring the place to life, and Lahcen was amazing from start to finish. On my last day, as I sat on the rooftop waiting for the taxi he kindly arranged, he picked up a guitar and started strumming. Then, out of nowhere, he sang me a song. It’s one of my favorite memories from Marrakech—an experience I’ll never forget.

When I first walked in, I had a bit of a “catfish” moment 😂—the pictures were definitely brighter than what I saw, but that could’ve just been the time of day I arrived. There were lockers, but you need to bring your own padlock (which I didn’t, of course). Still, they assured me there had never been any theft issues, so no worries there. The rooftop breakfast with the sun shining was absolutely superb—a perfect way to kick off the day! I was hoping for a bit of cheese, but hey, that’s just a minor detail 😂.

The place is very beautiful. The staff is super friendly. Mohamed is a very nice person, he picked me up in the street when I couldn't find the place, he is someone you can have a good conversation with. The breakfast is exceptional and it differs with other accommodations in abundance. I totally recommend it.

The streets around are very busy and it can be overwhelming if you are not used too. My bed in the dorm was just in front of the door, so the light was a little bit annoying at night, once I fell asleep there was no problem. There were two men staying in dorms that made the vibe kind of weird, but that's not under control of the hostel.

The place looks decent. For the price I paid, I’d say it was good value for money. It’s a humble riad. You will get all the basic you need. It is located within the Medina which is very accessible to mostly everything. Breakfast was simple but good! I would never thought breakfast would be included. So that’s a plus! Staff is very friendly and helpful. Abdul my man! You the best! The atmosphere is friendly. I met nice people during my stay there and that really added value to my experience.

Nothing I didn’t like. Perhaps just improvement on the cleaning department. But other than that, all good! I’d defo stay in this Riad again when I come back. Inshallah!

I had originally planned to stay here only one night, but ended up going back for two more. The accommodation is in an ideal location, close to all services and shops. The best part though is Abdul, super cool guy, who goes out of his way to help everyone; we made friends immediately and staying here was much more enjoyable because of him. The amenities are basic, but serve backpackers on a budget perfectly. Breakfast and evening chats on the rooftop terrace are also unforgettable.

My stay in Riad Sijane was wonderful. The breakfast is extremely good and more than enough. The rooms and bathrooms are very clean. The rooftop is super chill. In general, the hostel has a very chill vibe and it is easy to meet other backpackers. The rooms are quite small and tight and the wifi is not working but I stayed there more than once mainly for the nice vibe and the most amazing receptionist. Saeed (I don't know if this is how you write the name) is the nicest hostel guy. He is super helpful woth everything and tried to help you as best as he can. He is super kind and nice to be around. Even though I don't speak Arabic or French and we managed to have nice talks with my broken Spanish and his broken English. He saw that my friend congratulated me to ky birthday and went to get me a little present as well, which was soooo cute and I really appreciate it. Thanks for being such a great host. I definitely recommend staying here.

This is one of the chipest accommodations I have ever stayed but it was worth it. It is 3 - 5 minutes walking from the famous Marrakesh square, while it is not crowded. Everybody was very polite and kind. I am Genius Level 3 at the moment in booking.com and received in this property a nice breakfast for free. The breakfast was a nice Marrocan breakfast. Thank you for your hospitality.

They started to get the place done up while we were still there. Every one was very apologetic though.

My two-day stay at Riad Sijan felt like a home away from home. Host Lahcen’s warmth and exceptional care made me feel like a friend rather than just a guest, while Faouzia, the breakfast lady, added a charming touch with her gentle demeanor and delicious, simple breakfasts. With cozy accommodations, friendly staff, and a welcoming ambiance, I highly recommend Riad Sijan for a memorable stay.

The staff are what makes this place, they go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. We had an early start one morning and we were given a breakfast to go which included home made treats!! Honestly It's like a family there. The riad itself is beautiful and authentic, you'll get the real Marrakech culture you're after by staying here. The breakfast was so tasty and it's lovely eating up on the terrace. We had the opportunity to sit with Mike playing guitar as well which was a beautiful wind down after a busy day! I couldn't recommend this place enough, for the price it's everything and more that you could want and need for a culture rich stay inside the Medina. Quick tip for anyone staying - the location isn't the easiest to find and it's not particularly visible from the streets, but still make sure you find the place yourselves and I'd recommend getting a taxi to the big square and walking in from there - we got a taxi to the riad itself which then dropped us in the most bizarre location, we were instantly met by a guy who walked us to the hostel (we assumed he worked there) but unfortunately was a local who saw the opportunity for a quick buck and quite aggressively demanded money from us. Don't worry - 95% of locals are not like this! Just keep your wits about you. Also, if you don't have your own towel make sure you ask for one on arrival - I forgot and there was no one about every time I went to have a shower (that's my bad!!) So a very damp t shirt haha.
