I arrived at about 10.00 am and was given an early check in. It enabled to to have a shower and prepare properly for some people that I would soon be meeting for the first time. The room was comfortable and everything worked properly. The staff were excellent and could not be faulted. They made it possible to sort out my washing and correctly managed some things that needed cold water and air drying. They helped me make an airline booking to Kathmandu and arranged taxis for when they were needed. Breakfasts were good and in a social setting which I enjoyed.

It took me a little while before I knew where the hotel was on the street and getting to the main tourist areas. Apart from that there were no complaints. Two nights in Pokhara were not enough.

We had a fantastic experience at the hotel. We stayed in a family room, which was perfect for us. The inclusive breakfast was delightful, and the staff was exceptionally welcoming. We enjoyed our stay so much that we extended it by five more nights, and we're already planning to return multiple times. During our stay, we had the pleasure of celebrating Tij festival with Shruti from the reception, she dressed up our daughters with sari and taught them how to dance😊Furthermore, they offer board games for children in the lobby...

I only stayed for 2 nights, but it was amazing! From the minute I entered the staff was so welcoming and friendly. Especially receptionist Shruti who was really great and so helpful! The night shift personnel was also very nice and informed me a lot about the different activities in the city I could do the next day. Breakfast was incredible and so tasty! Fresh veggies & fruits, fried eggs, freshly brewed coffee and of course the famous waffles were 10/10 (just like everyone said). My room was very spacious and cozy. A/C was working really well and I could adjust the temperature to my preferences. I also had enough hot water for a long relaxed shower, which was reallyyy nice <333 Bonus point for being so eco and environment friendly. Overall amazing experience! I totally recommend Hotel Karuna if you're in Pokhara!!! I will definitely be back!

The laundry company they're using could do a better job (specifically when it comes to white/light-coloured clothes).

Definitely this was our bests stay in Nepal while we were there ! We are a Portuguese couple traveling by motorcycle and by that time visit Nepal/Pokhara. To be honest we loved our stay in this hotel ! Staff is super kind and friendly. They helped us with everything we needed since the beginning! Great private parking so we could park took our motorcycle there with no issues and it was very safe. Reception staff is very kind. Our special attention and appreciation go to Sanggeta that was very kind with us and helped us with everything. Rooms are very clean, spacious, comfortable and great environment full of light! Immaculate to tell the truth! One of the cleanest toilets we have ever seen ! Amazing hot shower 24h Fresh towels and sheets 👌🏻 Room is spacious and very comfortable with good temperature, nevertheless you always have AC. We slept very well because the bed is too confy ! They provide laundry service and the service which is quite good. Breakfast is delicious !! Could not ask for a better breakfast to be honest ! Everything is fresh and homemade. The lobby area is very nice ! Very nice decoration and environment. We stayed in this hotel for 11 nights and we did not want to leave.

Everything was amazing

- Breakfast was awesome - the best from the hotels I stayed in in Nepal. Good selection of cooked items - tasty too, freshly brewed coffee and waffles made to order. A great way to start the day - Staff seemed cheerful and professional, generally good vibes - Comfortable rooms with nice views at the front and cleanliness is on-point - Nice location, very close to bars and restaurants and to the lake, but on a side-street so the hotel itself is quite quiet - If you go up to the rooftop, you can see a nice lake view (albeit that its partially obstructed by new construction, seems like there’s a bit of a development arms-race in Lakeside)

Breakfast area could get a little busy at times

We had a great time in Hotel Karuna. Being low season, the staff graciously upgraded our room, and treated us so warmly the entire time. They helped us sort out bus tickets and also local tour things like kayaking. The room is very comfortable and spacious and the beds too. Breakfast was a standout - lots of good options as well as freshly brewed pour over coffee. I loved that the hotel is conscious of plastic waste as well and provides clean filtered water on every floor free of charge.

Words can’t describe how much we enjoyed Hotel Karuna. The rooms have super comfy beds and wonderful lighting. Breakfast was incredibly tasty with little variations every day. But the best thing is the staff - ooooh, what a lovely bunch of people! Special thanks to the charming owner who supported us with gift shopping. Her eco-friendly, plastic-free approach is highly admirable. All said, Karuna has the perfect mix of local vibe and western standards. We extended our stay - but if you do so, better be quick as the hotel is particularly busy on weekends.

Hotel was full and due to unprecedented rain many guests had to change their plans last minute. Kelly, Nims and their team did a fabulous job and went out of their way to make sure we all got the help needed to navigate the change in plans. So appreciated their positive attitude and willingness to think outside the box to find solutions for us, especially in this busy Dashain season when everyone's flights were being cancelled. We made it back to Kathmandu in time (by the grace of God!!), we couldn't fault the jeep driver they found us (in spite of numerous landslides), and we arrived home in Kathmandu to a message asking if we were ok, and how the trip went. I will continue to recommend Karuna to friends and travellers. Many thanks Team Karuna!!

No hotel is perfect, however we had no complaints.

All the staff, particularly Shruti and the lady shadowing her, Narayan, BJ were totally focused on customer care. Spacious Rooms with excellent facilities. The owners especially the good Madam was open to suggestions and implemented them. I respect her vision of a caring, safe and welcoming ethos. Breakfast was delicious with fresh coffee. Hotel was immaculately clean. They have a fantastic eco friendly approach. Loved my stay at hotel and definitely recommend this unique hotel.

Everything was perfect.

Stayed at Deluxe Double Room with Balcony. Room was relatively big size and clean. Very basic but comfortable. It was only 5 mins walk to the main street of Pokhara and easy to reach. Hotel itself was very well decorated and environmentally friendly. Each floor had drinking water supply for free, so you could fill your bottle and start your day nicely. Had blackout during day time couple of time, but found out thats normal everywhere in the area, so all good. Staff was very kind and helpful. Coffee they made for me with breakfast was very good!

Not much to say to be honest. Only one thing if I may say, breakfast menu was always the same, but I guess thats standard there, so not a big deal. The hotel still met my expectation for sure.
