Hotel is good all facilities is nice but manager charge more exchange rate against Indian rupees he charged extra 500 Indian rupees it's wrong because In nepal all shopkeeper and hotel takes currency in 100Indian =160nepali currency ,he charged 148

The stand out factors of this hotel were the reception staff: Indira and Mohan. They were very helpful throughout my stay, and I enjoyed interacting with them. The hotel itself is a pretty one, a mere second or two away from the touristic Lakeside. It is in one of the lanes, but that barely matters. I found the location quite central, so I could walk in either direction for interesting shops and restaurants. The rooms are very spacious and reasonably well appointed. There isn't a safe, so I locked up my valuables in my suitcase when necessary—which wasn't a big deal for me, but might be for someone else. I had a balcony as well, and I spent every morning there. There isn't a view as such (unfortunately there was a building being constructed just opposite) but you can see the mountain ranges from everywhere in Pokhara. It is a magnificent sight. The hotel has a terrace seating area, so this is the place to really enjoy the mountain views. All said, it was a lovely stay, and I would definitely revisit.

I had only one niggling issue with the hotel, and that was the way the shower was set up. The shower drain was outside the shower partition, and relied on a tiny (about the width of a tile) height difference to drain. Needless to say, it was nowhere close to sufficient. Every time I had a shower, the entire bathroom flooded. It was not pleasant at all. Also the hair dryer didn't work, but seeing as I've never ever had a functioning hair dryer in a hotel, I took this as par for course.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Portland in Pokhara, Nepal and it exceeded my expectations in every way. The service provided by the staff, especially the incredibly helpful receptionist, was outstanding. She went above and beyond to meet all of my needs during my stay. The rooms offered stunning views of Phewa Lake and the magnificent Annapurna mountain range. Waking up to sweeping vistas of the towering peaks each morning was a highlight of my trip. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. The breakfast offered a nice variety of local and Western dishes. Everything I tried was fresh and flavorful. Dining while gazing out at the tranquil lake was a wonderful way to start each day. The location right next to Phewa Lake was ideal, providing easy access to the lake for scenic walks and boating adventures. It was also an easy walk into downtown Pokhara. I truly can't say enough good things about Hotel Portland. Of all the hotels I've stayed in during my travels, this one stands out for having the best service, views, location, cleanliness, and breakfast. I will be coming back to Hotel Portland on my next visit to Pokhara InshaAllah.

The staff was absolutely fantastic in every way possible! The value of the stay was incredible. For what I paid for the amount of time, plus breakfast, was unbeatable. Reasonable size, and the location was impeccable. The breakfast included was absolutely fantastic, and made mornings very efficient. Having a fridge was really nice. Also, the staff left 2 large water bottles (instead of really small ones) everyday after servicing the room!

I was hoping for a view of the lake from the balcony with my Double Deluxe room, but instead got a view of a building under construction. The balcony was really nice nonetheless! The bathroom could use some upkeep, but wasn’t bad by any means.

Best location, awesome food, very welcoming reception and kind staff. Hotel is walking distance to fewa lake and rooms are nicely cleaned. Indira at reception did our warm welcome. She is very knowledgeable and provided all option to enjoy Pokhara in 2 days and as suitable to our group. Indira is very helpful in arranging our sightseeing day tour and adventure tour booking. I would really appreciate Indira for extra hour spent after her regular work and personally taken interest to plan and book our adventure activities sunrise at Annapurna mountain, hot air balloon, cable car, zeepline etc.

Noisy late night music nearby pub on weekend

Loved everything. Room, view, cleanliness were all top notch. The property is very well taken care of and gives a sense of luxury. The staff is super helpful, especially the lift staff, the restaurant staff and so on. I must particularly mention Indra at the front desk who gave us a warm welcome

The toilet bidets started working in the morning all of a sudden but that might be related to city power outage but we didn't inform as we were checking out anyway. Apart from this, everything was flawless. I will be definitely back and will recommend anyone visiting Pokhara to stay at this wonderful place

The location is fantastic, 60 metres from the main strip. Great breakfast, different variations every day, and there was always plenty to choose from. Large room with balcony and the shower was great! Lots of hot water and good water pressure. The staff were helpful and pleasant. Overall, it's very good value for money

Housekeeping didn't leave towels on 2 occasions. Once is an oversight, twice is a bit of a pain. The beds are hard, and some new fluffy pillows would definitely make for a better night's sleep

Our stay at Hotel Portland in Pokhara, Nepal, was a delightful experience. The standout feature of this hotel was undoubtedly its exceptional staff. Babika, Indria, and Sushanth went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. Their professionalism, friendliness, and willingness to assist with excursion bookings and even rescue us when we missed the bus were truly commendable. Their overwhelming positivity and helpfulness added a special touch to our visit. The hotel's accommodations were equally impressive. The air-conditioned rooms provided a comfortable retreat, and the plush beds ensured a good night's sleep. One of the highlights of our stay was the breathtaking view from our rooms and the roof deck, which encompassed the serene Peace Pagoda and majestic mountains. The breakfast buffet offered a diverse selection of delicious dishes, catering to both continental and local tastes, satisfying our culinary desires.

Despite the many positives, there were a couple of drawbacks to our stay at Hotel Portland. The instant coffee served at the hotel left much to be desired, which was a bit disappointing for coffee enthusiasts like us. Fortunately, we found a solution at the gym across the street, which offered better coffee options. Additionally, an air-conditioned dining area would have significantly improved the dining experience, especially during warmer weather. The most notable drawback during our stay was the noise from a nearby nightclub. The music continued playing until the early hours of the morning, which disrupted our sleep and was a source of frustration. Not the hotels fault, but certainly a drawback if you are looking for a more peaceful sleep or are a light sleeper.

Wonderful staff! Indira enveloped me with care and attention, always helping with all questions! Sushant was very friendly, always attentive and with pure and selfless help - helped me pay for my phone, assisted with breakfasts, and much more - I felt safe and at home! I will definitely come back to this hotel next time!

The biggest positive was the staff, they were truly excellent, so friendly, welcoming, professionally, thoughtful, and knowledgeable. A big thank you to the reception staff, Indira, Anusa, Bibika, Aniz and the property manager as well as the 2 guys of the Restaurant. (Sorry can't remember their names) The breakfast which was included was excellent as well as the location. Scooter hire was a great bonus.

The noise from a local nightclub until 4am was not pleasant (the bass) However, not the hotels fault as they then tried to put me in a quieter room after. If you are here partying late then this wouldn't affect you, so truely recommend this hotel.
