Arrived and the host was friendly, room was clean and the bed was very soft. The stairs are winding and narrow, but that's Amsterdam for you. Walk to the centre is a bit of a trot, but I don't mind walking. I do not possess they knack to open the front door, but the owner was very helpful each time. You don't get the baguettes shown in the photo, but you do get petit pains, cheese, cold cuts, juice and eggs. Too be honest (especially considering its Amsterdam), this is really good value for money, especially if you are mostly out of the house at cheese factories and canal tours like me, and just want a comfortable bed. The owner appreciates honest and genuinely just wants to help out! Banging place.

Not much really, bit of uneven flooring upstairs and a few cobwebs. The wifi does occassionally cut out.

The house was in a very quiet location so sleeping was easy and the beds were comfortable. The room and bathroom need a little bit of TLC but it was clean and more affordable and spacious than a lot of the other accommodation we had looked at. It was easy to get to and from location wise and included an ample continental breakfast.

The stairs are steep and curving so not easy to carry luggage up and down but this is described in the description for the bed and breakfast.

Warm and comfortable room. Great location and close to the Amsterdam Centraal. Just 10-12 minutes walk from Underground station then 3 minutes and you are in the heart of Amsterdam. Cozy room with beautiful view from window. Good deal for Amsterdam.

There are no classic kitchen in the apartment. You simply have some "details" of kitchen, like plates, spoons, cups e.t.c. For us it was ok, but if someone likes to cook, not here.

I like this place and its surroundings, it seems a bit far away from city center but it's only one metro station and 5-10 minute walk, with a large park just around the cornet. Room is clean and nice. Breakfast is good it saves money.

Somebody from other guests were ringing in the middle of the night. Hope this does not occur often.

Walk wasn’t too long to the train station, Harold tidied our room for us while we were out and the room was warm

Many stairs which was difficult for bulk luggage, it was his own house not a hotel/motel which we were unsure of and breakfast wasn’t available as expected. The bathroom was tiny and unclean and we couldn’t close the door while using the toilet because there was no room

In spite of being a bit far from the centre, is easily reached from Amsterdam Centraal Station through a 2min subway-trip and a short walk (or bike ride). The neighborhood is quiet and friendly, and close to the refreshing Noorderpark. The room was clean, warm (even with snowy weather outside), and the breakfast was good. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and open to accomodate some food restrictions previously informed by us.

The space to prepare the breakfast is a bit small, and could be organised in a more suitable way. The bathroom is a bit small and dated.

Breakfast was so good. Bread was always hot that you could actually saw steam coming out from it. All the room and facility was cleaned every day. Location was good. a little bit distance with center but the nature around it was worth it. There is a beautiful park in walking distance with couple of lakes. Also the only functional wind mill in the world is available by walking. But check the date first, in only open for visit 5 days a year. You can also use free ferry to go from north to central or other part of the north.

The room was in second floor, so there was lots of stair which is hard if you have big suitcase. But Harold is always ready to help you in any matter he can. You just need to ask.

Very nice and quite residential area. Breakfast was prepared in the fridge and tea, coffee, jam, butter and milk available at the common area just outside of the room. Bus stop is close by.

Very steep stairs to bring the baggage to the room.

The staff was amazing, we were early and they were kind enough to welcome us and help us with everything.

The room was a bit cold, as we could not close the window. But everything was displayed to our comfort otherwise.

The host was amazing and made us feel welcome and always made sure everything was perfect, even Gato the kitty was super cute and welcoming! They even got us a special breakfast as we are vegetarian so they could cater to everyone. I couldn't have imagined going somewhere else and definitely recommend!!

Absolutely nothing!!
