Nice little basic hotel not far from Amsterdam Centraal train station ... (walking distance).. close to the city center, but nice and quite away from all the bars ... there´s a bar next door, and a café open thurs-sun with excelent brunch saturdays and sundays.. and nearby a fabulous italian restaurent - Il Pecorino ... walking distance) rent a bike at the hotel, drive round Amsterdam and eat at Pecorino... and an open air cheap swimming pool at the nearby Noorderpark

pillows are too hard and high ... gave me sour neck the rooms can get quite warm ... only fan to cool it down... not sound proff rooms ;)

Great staff, very friendly and helpful, and present 24/7. Fairly close to the train station. The neighbourhood isnt too noisy. On the plus side there are some supermarket nearby (much cheaper to buy food or drinks there instead of the markets in the city center).

A bit far from the center (20-30 minutes at least for most places), especially is you walk everywhere and you want to visit the southern limit of the historical centre (Rijksmuseum for example). Also, being on the right side of the Ij river, the choice in deliveries is a bit more constrained... finally, the walls were a bit thin, and the shower doors weren't closing completely.

Nice staff, very nice people. Hotel is situated really close to the free ferry, which gets you to the city center in 4 minutes. Hotel is good for the people who came to Amsterdam for partying and hanging out - you just sleep in the hotel and spend the whole day in the city.

It was kinda cold in the room in the first two days of stay. It was cold outside, so we put the central heating to max, but it was still little cold. No bar or restaurant nearby, you have to make a small bicycle-ride to get a breakfast.

It is a reasonably priced option in central Amsterdam (across the canal from the central train station). There are good restaurants nearby and it is a relatively short walk to the free ferry to the train station and the sights of Amsterdam city centre.

The lock on the door did not work well, and there was a loud commotion in the middle of the night. Despite these relatively minor inconveniences, it is a worthwhile choice if you are looking for a budget option with a private bathroom in Amsterdam.

Quiet location just across the river ( you can take a short ferry to main station). Clean, staff was always nice and helpful, good sized room and bathroom.

The only thing is that one of the receptionists who hadn’t seen us before, just gave us the key (since you leave the key at reception) without asking for ID ( in fact he handed us the wrong key, we realised right away it was not our number)

Very friendly staff and more than helpful. Though this is in a quiet residential area, 10 minutes walk to the free ferry (every 5 minutes) and you're in the heart of old Amsterdam (No mice with clogs on, but you have to be old to understand the reference, or Google it lol). Enjoyed my stay here.

Top floor room but no lift. Shower was awkward to set a decent temp. That's all

Great location - its 10/15 min walk from closest metro station - Noorderpark. As for the room, it was clean and the fridge was a great addition for us. Plus, the staff were very friendly and always remembered who you were.

Steep stairs weren’t very accessible and the balcony door was a little tricky to work/lock.

This hotel was close enough to the city centre without being too close where its noisy at night. The ferry docks ate very convenient being 5 mins was from the hotel and less than 10 mins to wait for each ferry crossing.

In my honest opinion I found this room to be exactly what I paid for. It's a budget hotel I wasn't expecting anything too fancy. Only thing that it was missing was a kettle.

I appreciated the ease of checking in and out, the clean and modern room, and the lack of hassle coming and going.

I have leg issues so i wasn't too happy being moved to the top floor, but i know stuff happens and things change. There was also an odd uneven step at the very top of the stairs we both kept tripping over. These are both small things, though.

We were impressed with the size and comfort of the bed. The staff, MO and Annes(sp) we very helpful and kind as was the gentleman who welcomed us. We loved the free ferry to the hotel (f2 ferry) it was a short 5 min walk from there. The north side was so beautiful for quiet at night and peaceful walks through parks. We loved the area.

We took the wrong ferry the first time and had no way to find the hotel. It was difficult but we were thankful to finally arrive. I'd love to have the map posted on booking to reference. (they showed us the route once we arrived.)
