we were arriving late- around 10pm i got a sms from my visa card stating that there was a transaction- it was not the amount of the hotelprice, not even with the security deposit that hotels often charge on check in (booking stated 100€ as security charge- but i was not checked in yet- so why charge a deposit ? ) , the company name was Odyssee Hotel Breda. i googled it, found no connection to Hotel Nassau nor Marriot Hotels. i called my visa to decline the payment, my card got cancelled , with all the fees ect. long story short- it was Hotel Nassau charging the amount plus 50€ extra for every day of Stay- why that they couldnt explain.. it was annoying.

We really liked the hotel, an excellent location and a very pleasant atmosphere, but above all we want to highlight the magnificent attention of all the reception employees and especially Mrs. L.H. from front office. On the trip an unforeseen event arose with our daughter, and all the hotel staff did their best to help us. They are very good professionals and very good people. We are very grateful. Thank you.

Everything was perfect. I cannot assess breakfast or other lunches or dinners because we did not do any of them at the hotel.

There are only two parking spaces but they reserved one for us free of charge because of my wife's disability. The accessible room was superb with French windows opening out to the car parking area. The room was large, well appointed and perfect for wheelchair access. Access to the breakfast room was more difficult but it was later explained that there was a separate wheelchair route. The hotel is 200m from the Grote Markt and Breda is a very nice city so the location could hardly be better. We may well return because we arrived at the start of the jazz festival and Breda had a great atmosphere, but it was heaving, limiting our possibilities.

Loved the church concept and all the small cool and fun details everywhere you look. The dining area is beautiful, the barman is fun, valet parking handy, the room was nice. Everything was very clean and staff friendly.

The room was on the top level only reachable by steep stairs. This could have been communicated before. If you have problems with stairs or if you had couple of drinks, you can't get to your room easily ;) The view was hideous. I would have liked knowing that for 276,- per night I will have no view and no elevator. Note that if you want your minibar filled, you must book that option upfront, otherwise your minibar will be empty. But none of this spoiled our stay, the pros outweighed the cons by far.

The location is almost perfect - most POIs in the city centre are easily reachable by walk. The rooms are spacious and sandwiches in the room service quite tasty and large. The hotel itself is a piece of beauty.

1. Breakfast was too expensive and almost doubled the price of the room so we have opted to have a breakfast in one of the lovely cafes nearby in the centre for one third of hotel's price. 2. On the very next day upon arrival we have requested the reception desk to clean the bathroom sink as it was clogged well before we have occupied the room. However it was not done during our whole one week stay. 3. There is some persistent problem with the taxi company the hotel was using - we had to wait sometimes up to 40 minutes until the taxi called through reception arrived.

Gorgeous hotel with interesting design features and the most fabulous staff. The rooms are lovely and we were fortunate to be upgraded as it was my birthday. Thoroughly wonderful experience from start to finish. Chosen for location and quality but it surpassed our hopes

There was nothing we didn’t like. Only comment is note that the building is huge and quite a walk to rooms depending upon where you were located. Amazing place and wonderful staff

Location was great since we were walking the city center. The bed was very comfortable and the staff very helpful in solving any travel issues. The hotel is unique, not at all like a chain hotel. Therefore some of the amenities are not there, but not missed by us. Other amenities, like bike rentals, were available. The room was always tidied everyday. I would definitely stay here again.

There is a restaurant in the hotel which offers breakfast. It was too expensive, especially if traveling as a family. The local shops do not open early so you are either stuck paying for this breakfast or plan ahead and purchase some breakfast food at local shops the day before. There were some maintenance issues that needed to be fixed, but did not bother our stay.

Very good hotel in super location. It was a convent at one time so very quirky hotel. Have stayed here in the past and always very good. Rooms very spacious and very comfortable. Coffee and water in Rooms very welcome.

Separate toilet is never good in a room. Slight smell of sewage in toilet isn't great but given it is an old historic building I guess these things can happen.

The hotel is interesting in itself, the way it is been built with keeping historically important structures in the planning and execution, including giving information on a self-guided tour of what has been done. The hotel is close to the centre of town and even those who have difficulty with walking can easily visit various points of interest.

It would be nice if there was more cupboard space for unpacking suitcases for those who travel for longer periods than just a weekend.

Three connected listed buildings have been beautifully renovated for this hotel. The room we had was the superior king sized bedroom and it was extremely spacious. Breakfast was tasty with some delicious blended juices on offer and a good selection of meats, cheeses and well as some hot food. Breda is a lovely city and well worth a visit.
