The renovation of this old building into a modern hotel has created a very elegant and comfortable place to stay. The shipping activity on the canal is constant and varied. Our large room overlooked the small harbour. The furnishing were of good quality and very comfortable. The bathroom spacious. The conservatory restaurant also has an outside terrace and is well used by non-hotel guests. The menu was varied and we enjoyed our choices. There was a large breakfast buffet. All the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful.

The location is quite unique - with a clear view of the Maas and of the canal. It is also very quiet. We chose this hotel since we had a ferry to catch the next day. The proximity of the P&O ferry terminal makes it a good choice.

The carpark is quite small - if you arrive late you will have some difficulty parking, though there is free parking nearby. The breakfast is OK but nothing to get excited about. The bread is poor quality but "normal" for the Netherlands. What I found disappointing were the pancakes which had clearly been bought in frozen and thawed - badly thawed at that since they were sticking to each other. Bad pancakes in the Netherlands - can't get much worse than that.

Excellent location, only a short walk to the Metro taking you to Rotterdam or Schiedam for the train. Staff were friendly and attentive. Room was a great size and comfortable. Breakfast was great and we also took advantage of hiring bikes everyday. Will definitely book again!!

We missed our rooms being serviced on two of the 8 days on days when we left later (9/11am) - don’t seem to check later in the morning but it wasn’t an issue - also I’m sure the staff would help if it were a problem.

Amazing place to stay for a weekend out. Beautiful view and a nice area to have a walk around. The hotel is very stylish and it has a great restaurant inside. We enjoyed breakfast, lunch, and dinner and everything was delicious. The very friendly staff in the restaurant made our experience even better.

Maybe a little bit more time for breakfast if the guest is a sleepyhead=)

Breakfast fantastic, good value €12 each. Fabulous room with river view and a balcony. Seemed very new as everything in the bathroom was sparkling. Lovely big windows to view the activity on the river whilst lying in bed. They really welcomed our little rescue dog from Sicily and gave him ( as they did with all digs) a welcome goody bag. We will definitely return

We arrived at about 10pm there was no food available as the kitchen closed at 9pm

The hotel was absolutely perfect, great location, very helpful staff, very clean everywhere. The brekfast was so delicious and the view from the restaurant was just awsome. We loved the design of the hotel. We rented bikes in the hotel and went all the way to the beach. The road was so beautiful and easy. Beds were very comfortable. Very clean bathroom.

Fabulous hotel, very stylish and fantastic location. We had a small basic room, but it was absolutely stunning. Comfortable bed, luxurious fixtures and fittings and the most impressive shower I have ever used!

Because of the constant rain I stayed in the room for a while and would have liked a few more coffee pods for the machine, I'm sure if I asked it wouldn't have been a problem though. Previous occupants left several peanuts under the bed which hadn't been cleaned up.

My stay was an overnight break in a bikepacking trip for a group of friends cycling up the coast from Knokke to Amsterdam. The hotel was fantastically accommodating for our bikes and equipment, providing a meeting room for their storage. all staff were both friendly and professional, plus the rooms and public spaces in the hotel were of a high standard.

The coffee was only good, not exceptional...

This is a hotel with personality which was a plus and the staff were very friendly. the food was consistently good and the room was perfectly clean. It was a very easy walk into the local town

The beds were quite small and the wifi not consistent which made some work video meetings difficult

To be honest from the check-in to room everything was amazing. The dinner at the restaurant was really nice and well worth the price. The breakfast was also prepared in time, quite broad range of things for the price, and really tasty. The room was really clean, with staff being cheerful, attentive and helpful all the time.

Really, nothing that I did not like.
