Staff always superb from night porter to front end staff at reception to breakfast dinner and room cleaning staff .All work very much at very effective pace without any stress .They all know their job very well .I have stayed here before and this time always pleasure working with managers and Kitty and Maria who are helping all guests every day .I had some things to do with bills and reception staff had everything everytime resolve quickly safely and no fuss great to have them here .I always come back here as staff are what make this hotel exceptional besides great food in restaurant.I recommend all dishes on main course fish ,meat and starter carpaccio is awesome too .Soups gorgeous also .Waiters in evening and waitresses also work very hard very fast getting all orders in and service with smile they are always in good form great to see staff getting on so well enjoying their job every day

Staff very helpful highly efficient breakfast and dinner perfect ..I like way eggs cooked by staff for each customer nice touch .Dinner very nice too starters all of them really nice for carpaccio was best just as something different never tried before also steak and all main courses delicious.I love sole dish even though it's fish to watch bones for .Lifts work perfect very fast to fifth floor hallways spotless rooms spotless windows sound proof can't hear outside noise free parking .Lidl and coop stores 15 mins walk as is NXP and also in same centre as Lidl nice kebab restaurant.All in all I stay here because staff do best job .I don't like really busy hotels inside Nijmegen too busy so I stay here it's close to NXP also walking distance to reception and back entrances also .

Only thing I would ask owners or Bastion Hotel and higher management to open restaurant for evening dinner at weekends

Rooms are clean with comfortable bed. Tiles on the floor. Rooms were quiet. Staff was very nice /reception, restaurant, breakfast/. Large parking space available. Breakfast actually exceeded my expectations with selection and very nice lady preparing omelets. One of our rooms at the end of the corridor had view into three sides which was nice. The hotel is not in the center, but buss stop is very near /we needed to stay in this area and were satisfied with the stay.

Hotel lovely and warm perfect temperature not too warm not too cold and it was minus 10 degrees Celsius one night .Lobby is lovely layout and has bar with restaurant.Breakfast I love here has everything from hot bacon and eggs ,scrambled eggs ,salmon ,fresh meats , cheeses,feta cheese ,mature cheese ,juices ,breads ,croissants ,wholemeal bread , gluten free bread I think also .Lifts are fast go to fifth floor quite fast . Breakfast staff are always very helpful they cook eggs like poached ,fried if customers need it. Reception staff were exceptional this time I stayed they were very fast efficient and just always love staying here staff are friendly and helpful in sharing tourist attractions in local area like in Nijmegen.Ample parking outside in car park beside hotel with gated car park which goes to semi underground uncovered car park for extra security.Rooms are serviced every day with new bed sheets new towels new shampoo containers.I can't fault this hotel in any way it even has workout gym downstairs beside lifts .The food for dinner is really good too I tried meat ,salmon,salads and even some of desserts that were truly divine .If I was to pick who stood out in terms of staff Id say breakfast staff and reception staff were tremendous service with smile .They enjoy doing their work and it shows with happy customers and happy staff helping each other get work done in lobby area .Maria at reception again helped me resolve some logistics issues ,helped me and work colleague decide on dinner one evening .I would say Maria is best staff member I have seen working as manager in hotel of all hotels I stayed in Europe these past few years .She does work effortlessly and other staff work well with Maria also because of strong team leader .I would say to owners of hotel group Bastion it's very important to keep this staff member in their hotel true gem treat them well as hotel staff like these ladies I met this week are once in lifetime in hospitality industry .

The hotel is located outside the city center. However, nearby there is a bus stop and a train station. If you prefer to walk, the center is 45 mins to an hour away, depending on your walking pace. The employees were super friendly and professional. The bed and pillows were super comfortable. I slept well. The breakfast was small but well sorted. During the week, breakfast is only until 9 am. If you are a later sleeper, that could be a problem. However, on Monday we were able to enjoy breakfast past the time, thanks to the kindness of the employees. The hotel parking is huge and locked at night for extra security. Because the hotel is located in the outskirts, it is convenient to connect the nearby highways. I will highly recommend this hotel for people who want a hotel in the budget but with some conveniences.

The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly

The location is not the best as it seems to be in the middle of housing. The fence surrounding the hotel made it feel as it was not a safe area although I did not witness anything happening at all and it did make me feel my motorcycle was secure in the car park so it wasn't a big issue for me. What was not good was the restaurant was closed at weekends because of a staffing issue, the price charged should reflect this. Although Booking.com did say this, I didn't realise just how far away from everything the hotel is. Also the vending machine was out of order too. The friendly barman found me some snacks though

It is a bit far from the city center to go on foot to the center, but there are bus stations near the hotel so it's easy to get wherever you want.

What is a bit weird is the approach to the hotel if you go there on foot. There is no clear and logical way to approach it - you gotta travel through some weird tiny path near nearby houses because there are big roads on both side of hotel. Ps. you can't hear noise from cars outside because of the double windows so don't worry about it :)

Belinda really helped resolve some problems with my reservation my fault but she did as did all staff work hard to find me room extra also book taxis to Schiphol great week experience food and beverages top class good value too.Bedroom spotless love the walk in showers and air conditioning quiet too .restful sleep breakfast has never good spread and location walking distance to NXP

The rooms are great. We loved the shower, the bed, and the big tv with netflix and youtube. Great for a movie night in your hotel room. The staff was nice and we liked that the parking is free.

The hotel is located right in between 2 busy roads and not close to the city centre. Might be convenient if you are just staying overnight when traveling by car.
