This hotel, is an absolute gem. Everything about it was right, the staff were attentive, helpful, and went well above what we expected. The rooms are comfortable, clean, with a great view. Breakfast was included in the price, lots of fresh fruit, breads, coffee, and the best honey I have ever tasted. This hotel is set in beautiful grounds, and has a beautiful and easy to get to location. The outstanding thing about our stay, was the staff. We also met the owner, who couldn’t have done enough for us. Another beautiful gem about this place was the pub located within the hotel. If you are thinking of staying anywhere stay here. We will definitely be going back.

There was nothing about this hotel we didn’t like.

Wonderfully welcoming staff. Relaxed ambience throughout the property. Elegant dining rooms. Large comfortable bedroom with good amenities in the room. Very nice evening meal (for a separate price) and an enjoyable breakfast (included in the price). Excellent value for money (in the week).

No lifts so if you have big suitcases, this could be a problem (that said, the staff helped us up with our light bags). The room we had had steps down into the room which made it difficult getting out as you had to step back down to pull the door inwards.

Very friendly service and a great breakfast included that is way better than the normal continental breafast buffet and instead a good composition of different ingredients. The location itself has a lot of style and also the park nearby with the castle ruins are beautiful to visit. The rooms have a lot of equipment like water cooker, coffee machine, water and so on.

The room itself and also the hotel main rooms are a bit older especially the floors and walls. That could need some deeper renovations but has none the less style. The walls in the rooms having also not a great sound isolation and the beds are to soft.

An exceptional hotel in all respects: Unpretentious luxury, attention to detail, a most friendly and efficient staff, signs of the owner's good taste and love for quality abundant everywhere from the immaculately maintained gardens down to the smallest decorative artifact. Dining not to be missed! A genuine gastronomic experience!

Fabulous service, an amazing historic building and awesome grounds. Amazing food, too! Magnolia in full bloom outside the window. And the property is just 15-20 minutes from Giethoorn.

This is a historical building and the rooms are a little on the small side.

Stadspaleis hotel was the best hotel we stayed in for a long time. The hotel stands in a beautiful position, the staff was very helpful and friendly, public rooms were lovely and full of history, the comfortable bedrooms were well equipped and the restaurant was very cosy and served excellent food. Our stay of 1 night was too short and we hope to return there for a longer stay in the not too distant future.

A very nice, beautiful hotel with a surrounding parc. Great staff and funny mix of old/original style room and a modern, nice bathroom. Water and coffee machine available in the room is always a nice service, also here. Dinner was nice, in the higher end though

Menu was EXTREMELY hard to read due to the light in the dinner room and the paper used for the menu (and i DID wear my glasses) I still wait for my final invoice, since they were confused about what to invoice me on departure.

Special Hotel with really special staff. You can feel yourself like kings but at home at the same time. Located at a picturesque park with lake. You are waking up with the birds songs.

The Hotel is absolutely stunning and beautiful. It is a part of the great park. Quite and peaceful. Staff are just excellent with great attitude. Peter, the owner, is unbelievable host. I am strongly advise you to try their restaurant as well. It is something a very special !
