Given the very reasonable price, you wouldn’t expect the Four Seasons. However, we found the place to be perfectly fine, a classic kiwi motel. My wife prepared a lovely salmon dinner using the facilities here. Nothing of importance is missing (they provided SCISSORS, which few kiwi motels do!). They provide a small two-burner portable electric “stovetop”, and also a barbecue if needed. The WiFi was fast, the bathroom clean and functional. The TV had 50+ Sky channels, if that’s your thing. Location is a bit outside of town, which is fine, Greymouth isn’t that big, so location isn’t really an issue. No complaints. Everything worked.

Other than the general "datedness" of the place, not much, it was fine.

Everything was great. The staff was very helpful and provided clean towels and cleaned the room everyday. There was a laundry room and a drier and the staff helped us. There is a playground area for the kids and sky tv for the late nights. Most international plug adapters are available from the office. A short walking distance to the beach and you can hear the ocean at night. Will most definitely refer family and friends to stay there when they come visit.

Suitable for a quick night stay with very affordable value. Comfortable and very helpful staff. Kitchen amenities are complete although looking a bit old (classy vibes). There are also paid laundry and dryer services available. Near to the town and beach.

can hear upstairs unit footstep somtimes due to the property structure but nothing too serious.

It was perfect for what we needed, a place to say on a mini-family getaway! They were able to provide a portacot for our 1 year old, which saved us bootspace in the car. The location was central and easy to find. The beds were comfortable.

The living area was a tight space for so many of us, but we managed.

The motel room was clean and very comfortable. Would recommend this motel to anyone travelling. We were only there for 1 night, so it was fine for us. The motel is walking distance to the Australasian tavern and restaurant. Meals were fantastic and staff were very friendly.

It's not a didn't like.....These motels have been functioning for many years, so obviously not new. However everything works well.

Property was 35 minute walk from town, but a pleasant one! Very comfortable but a little dated, good have done with a bit of modern decor. However it served its purpose, we had 2 nights before moving on.

An aged motel that has had the decor recently refreshed - everything was spotlessly clean - the most extensive extras we have ever seen in a unit - on a main road, but surprisingly quiet - wishing the owners every success as they continue to renovate and upgrade.

The room was great. I tried to find dirt but it was clean as a whistle. Daily towels and toiletries supplied. 20 metres away was a restaurant . Opposite room had a very friendly fat cat.

Very friendly staff. Nick at front desk was so kind allowing us to have late check out at a last minute request. Very comfortable bed and bedding. Had a very good night sleep.

Towels for toilet wasn’t available to clean water splashes on the floor…
