I didn't actually get to spend much time here because I arrived after official check in hours, but the staff were very accommodating of this - they left my keys in a lock box near reception and gave me instructions via email, so I was still able to get in after hours. There seemed to be a supermarket just across from the caravan park, so in daylight hours you would probably have good access to food and other necessities. It's also one of the closest reasonably-sized towns to Lake Pukaki, so it's well-positioned for those wanting to explore the lakes and mountains in the area.

The only slight disadvantage I can think of is that the room shares walls with some other rooms, so I could sometimes hear other occupants (as opposed to the detached cabins you often find in caravan parks). However, this is an extremely minor point.

The bloke on reception was friendly and welcoming. The room access and parking was very easy.. only 3 steps and parking directly in front of the room. The communication was great. The kitchenette had exactly what we needed for an overnight stay and cooking our own pasta. The beds were very comfortable and the shower was brilliant.. high pressure and lots of heat. 2adults and one teen had enough room. Across the road to all of the shops.. and on the other corner a petrol station .. perfect location to visit Mt Cook too.. only an hours drive. Lots of power outlets.

Friendly welcome from owner, and staff helpful, always smiling even though weather cold for this Auckland gal. Room had heater quickly warmed up, it was humble room prob well used, alot history hardworking people on hydroelectric I would say? Close to shops great restaurants we loved dining at Ministry of Works. What made our 2night stay was welcome, and cleanliness. My husband and I will certainly recommend.

Nothing reasonable price for what we paid.

Perfectly located with just a short stroll to the pub. Stayed in the 3 bedroom apartment and beds were comfy and fantastic having the 2 toilets and 2 showers for larger groups, would definitely be keeping at the top of the list for next time we have a larger group coming into Twizel

No issue’s, was an adjustment having to ration the data but ended up increasing the in person interactions instead so not a bad thing

The staff is really nice and fun. The location is great as well as the supermarket and some cafés and restaurants are in walking distance just around the corner. We even received information about a possible late check-in, just in case we arrived late. The room and shared bathroom were clean and tidy. There was even a sink and a fridge in the room, along with an electric kettle and some tea or coffee as well as some dishes and cutlery. The wifi was ok, but not the fastest and we only got a limited amount of GB, but I am sure, we would have gotten more, if we needed it. Parking spaces are available right in front of every building. The kitchen and common room were also quite good and clean and you can sit outside on benches in the garden. We enjoyed our stay there.

An excellent accommodation from which to explore Twizel, this motel is a 5 minute walk from the town centre. There are many shared toilets and showers available, though we chose the private bathroom option. It is about an hour drive away from the Mount Cook area but the drive is so spectacular, you might find you haven't driven enough to fully soak up the views.

The whole set up works really well. It may be an older property but it's highly functional and the staff are excellent. It's awesome having your own mini kitchen in your room (mini fridge, some cutlery, plates / bowls / glasses), a sink and a kettle. Then there is the big shared kitchen for more serious cooking. The shared bathrooms are always clean and I never had an issue even once not having a toilet or shower available when I wanted one. The bedding is super warm and there is plenty of storage in the rooms which is appreciated. The location is absolutely ideal - right in the heart of all the restaurants etc in Twizel, dead opposite the supermarket and of course with Twizel being the heart of Mackenzie Country you are a simple day trip away from Aoraki National Park, Pukaki, Tekapo. I'd definitely stay here again!

Absolutely nothing.

The unit we stayed in was spacious and warm. My Partner and i stayed over the long weekend and it was a lovely home away from home. The water pressure in the shower was a life saver and the bed had an electric blanket!! great location and friendly staff.

All i can is potentially needed more plugs or multi-plugs to charge phones and plug in both sides of the electric blanket, but otherwise everything was great.

Liked the staff, very helpful, cleanliness maintained very well, convenience.

The beds weren't comfortable at all. If you have any sore back from all the driving, get ready to worsen it on the beds. Also the fire alarms are super sensitive, the alarm went off when we were cooking/steaming lentils and potatoes. Keep ALLLL the windows and doors open when cooking, ps. Keep the kitchen door closed too, while cooking.

Initially we had we had shared toilets, showers etc which we were a little anxious about. But after the first night we had a discussion with the manager who was very considerate and helpful and he found a room becoming vacant that night with two extra beds and contained shower and toilet we were then very comfortable for the remaining 2 nights of our stay.

Nothing! This venue was next door (over the road) to shopping centre, bottle shops, restaurants, hotel nothing much further than 100 metres walk away and plenty of parking next to accommodation.
