The place is well marked in maps so it was easy to find. Smooth check in/out, simple communication with the host The host was very nice, showed us our room and the breakfast/living room and all details. The place is a bit secluded but so peaceful and quiet and beautiful, perfect b&b to relax while watching the nice garden around or explore Whangarei and surrounding. The rooms are freshly renovated, so spacious, comfy bed, pretty bathroom, nice sliding glass door to go to chill in the cute blue chairs on the terrace.

The breakfast was tasty but rather basic. There could have been served for example orange juice or ham.

Wow! What a delightful location! Upon our arrival, we received a warm welcome from Gerald & Lorraine, who graciously made us feel right at home. They provided us with invaluable insights into the area, including recommendations for the best dining spots. Our accommodation was impeccable - a beautifully presented room, spacious, spotlessly clean, complete with a magnificent en-suite bathroom. Breakfast offered a satisfying continental spread, with a diverse selection of fruits and cereals to choose from. Nestled within approximately 10 acres of land, the property is conveniently situated just a short drive from Whangarei and the stunning waterfalls. It serves as an ideal base for exploring the surrounding area. Without a doubt, one of the finest B&B experiences I've had the pleasure of enjoying. I wholeheartedly endorse this establishment. You won't be disappointed.

- Lorraine was an absolutely lovely host who gave us good recommendations for sight seeing. - The continental breakfast was perfect and served at a time that suited us best. - Exceptionally comfortable bed and spacious bathroom. - The TV had a variety of channel options. - Ample parking with an easy walk to the room. - Cleanliness exceeded our expectations! - We loved all of the attention to detail in our room!

This is a luxury B&B set in beautiful, quiet surroundings. The rooms are done to a high specification and beautifully finished and well thought-out. Nothing was too much trouble for the hosts. They recommended a different (quicker) route for us to get to our destination and also set our breakfast out earlier as we had an early start the next day. The facilities in this place were exceptional, so clean, fresh and spacious. I would have no hesitation, at all, in recommending this place.

A calm and serene place of utmost comfort with a luxurious setting. Gerald and Lorraine are the bestest hosts we've ever met. Great place just out of city hustle bustle but yet very accessible to town. A great location that allows you to experience marinas, good food, walks, beaches within a short drive. Lovely little breakfast spread. A great garden to take a quick stroll and even have a glass of wine outside. Fabulously comfortable bed, great shower and sparkly clean.

Gerald and Lorraine made us so welcome. We had our 1955 BSA motorbike with us, and they helped getting the bike on and off the trailer and let us keep it in his garage. We really appreciated their help and the good chats with fellow enthusiasts. The accommodation was warm and clean with a fabulous shower and hot water. We really needed that after getting cold on the bike! As well as the spacious bedroom and bathroom, you have a living area and kitchen shared with the other guestroom. There is coffee and tea and cookies available all the time and a delicious breakfast.

Rooms were immaculate. My mother and I were traveling - we had a room each. In both cases faultless. Rooms were clean, quiet, comfortable and finished to the highest standard.

The breakfast was a little disappointing. It was a continental style breakfast, which was fine and as expected. However a choice of fruit (we had peaches only) would have been nice. Also I was a little confused about the fresh fruit offered - three bananas and two kiwifruit were hard to divide between the four guests staying. Hard luck if we all wanted a banana

Everything!! This is the best B&B we have stayed in. Purpose built to offer guests total privacy in one of three beautifully designed and modern bedrooms, each with their own excellent ensuite. All rooms are decorated differently and ours was super comfortable. Each room also has its own ranch-slider to an outside walkway so you can come and go through without disturbing anyone else. You also have a lockable internal door which takes you to a lovely communal lounge / dining room area with kitchenette so you can make your own drink & prepare food. This Is separate from the main house of the owners, so this allows you to have your own space without disturbing anyone. Ideal for a peaceful retreat. Lorraine and Gerald are exceptional hosts and have put so much effort into creating the perfect space, including a really good continental breakfast which is laid out for the morning. No hesitation in recommending such a wonderful place to stay. We’ll definitely return again.

Super friendly hosts! The rooms are very large with a very comfortable bed. The breakfast was also great and they catered to my gluten allergy by providing gluten free cereal and bread!! This was very appreciated as we had to leave early for a day tour so it was important to get a good meal first! Highly recommend if looking to stay in the area! It also has free parking!

Peaceful country location but less than 10 minutes into Whangarei. Friendly hosts. Clean, large comfortable room on attractive property. Lovely aspect. Everything you need for a very comfortable stay. Excellent continental breakfast with good coffee and outstanding homemade marmalade. Close to the not-to-be-missed Black Stump Cafe

Nothing really but I misread that kitchen was shared. Turned out to be positive as meant we met other guests and also had dinner at 2 excellent Whangarei restaurants
