I must say that the RDG hotel has been one of the highlights of my trip. I was skeptical when I booked the room as pictures don’t really tell the true gem that this hotel is. I checked in late at night as I traveled from puerto cabezas to Managua and the check in was quick, parking is very secure. Once I entered my room I was so glad I booked this hotel because it surpassed my expectations - this is truly a diamond in the rough. The free breakfast had 5 different choices for all kinds of people and the food was delicious. I’ve stayed at many hotels priced much higher than this one and I must say this is a true bargain if you are looking for a generous room size, safe, iron, all new appliances, and spotless. I highly recommend this place to all travelers, especially those traveling with kids. This is how my go-to place when I come back to Nicaragua

It could be tricky to find - I wish there was access to the beautiful balcony in the back of the room but I understand it is due to the electrical fence protecting the property

The staff is SUPER FRIENDLY and FLEXIBLE with Our last minute reservation changes! it’s quiet, comfy beds, tv with Netflix, the in-unit KITCHEN is ACTUALLY FULLY EQUIPPED and of GOOD QUALITY appliances. Full size refrigerator, gas cooktop, and countertop oven. you can get a 5 gallon purified water dispenser delivered to your room for 100 cordobas ($3.00). The Hotel Owner is on-site and available most of the week; BUT WE HAVE NEVER HAD ANY ISSUES HERE. (Have stayed at Hotel RDG 4 TIMES; OVER 40 DAYS TOTAL!) BREAKFAST is included; 6 available choices are from a MENU… THANKFULLY NOT a BUFFET (like other places). OH and LAUNDRY SERVICE cost ONLY $10 for a suitcase full of clothes!! they do it here on-site

The Shower HAS HOT WATER… BUT it takes several minutes to get hot sometimes; don’t want to waste water

The property was great. We enjoyed our stay. We had a second unexpected layover in Managua and chose to stay here again since our first experience went so well. We were able to arrange a taxi to pick us up from the bus station and he was there promptly and was helpful and kind during all interactions. Breakfast was also good each time we stayed. The room was large and the bed was comfortable. We were also in close walking distance to a restaurant that was open late called Eco Rustic. I’d definitely recommend eating there if staying at the hotel.

The first night we stayed the room smelled slightly moldy. The smell faded after turning on the AC. The young man that checked us in at night the second stay was unfriendly and seemed bothered by us. But this was only a slight inconvenience and more of an annoyance of his demeanor.

The bed was really big and very comfortable. A lovely balcony with view on trees with lots of birds. Quiet location. A big fridge and coffee maker in the room. Very good shower. Aircon very good and quiet. 2 bedside tables. A sofa and a table with chairs. A very good and huge breakfast with unlimited coffee. Close to a very nice and not expensive restaurant Pan Y Vino.La Union supermercado is about 1 km from the hotel. It is easy to find a taxi to the airport for around 10 dollars. There is an elevator. And free drinking water. We were in room 402 (with 1 big bed) and the view of room 401 must be even better!

The only thing we did not like was that if you arrive before 2pm,you have to pay 2 dollars for each hour

Hot water. Included breakfast. Generous staff. Daily room cleaming. Bottled water. Full apartment. 24 hour security and patking. Urban oasis. Balcony view of wild woods in middle of Managua. Same day affordable laundry service. Patient with my poor spanish. Wifi as good as you can get in Managua.

Location was safe but hard to find. I wish the restaurant was open beyond breakfast but I understand the location might not be profitable for that.

Staff were helpful and the room itself was so spacious and clean. A/C and wifi worked brilliantly. The Shower was great and hot. Me and my friend stayed for a night before travelling the next day and it was perfect! The beds were also comfortable. Would stay again. Not too many restaurant choices near by but the staff will book you a taxi if you need one.

The staff was very accommodating, professional, and friendly. We loved the fact that purified water was supplied in the room with a refill station nearby on each floor. The cleaning staff was EXCELLENT!

There was no way to lock the balcony door with the key we were given. Not a big deal but, I realized anyone could enter our room from the balcony if they so desired.

This hotel surpassed my expectations - I’ve been in Nicaragua for o we 3 mo this and have stayed at 8 different hotels and this one is the most balanced and well equipped hotel of them all including hotels that are more than twice the price unpaid here

I highly recommend this hotel. In every category is exceeded my expectations. The staff is incredible - friendly, helpful and eager to be of assistance. The owner was gracious beyond words - without hesitation he upgraded my daughter and I to a big room which was really an apartment with loads of space, a giant living room, balconies with great views of the city and distant volcanoes, a kitchen, a large bedroom and plenty of room to spread out. The a/c was great too! I was astounded by how clean and spacious and I greatly appreciated the upgrade. The owner also was incredibly, let me say that again, incredibly helpful in arranging transport for my daughter and I to Leon and back to Managua and then for me onto San Juan/Playa Maderas. He was generous with his time and made my experience seamless. I am very grateful for all the help. The location is good - in walking distance to loads of restaurants, banks/ATM's and not far from shopping. It was very clean and well maintained. All of our needs were met perfectly! Loved the free coffee and good food for breakfast and lunch too.

Can't think of a single thing that wasn't great!

The room was spacious and quiet, staff were very friendly, attentive, and helpful, fast wifi, the complimentary breakfast was a large portion, and there was secure parking.
