BREAKFAST ,LOADS TO CHOSE FROM BUT THE COOKED FOOD WAS NOT VERY HOT AND WENT COLD VERT QUICKLY,WAS ABLE TO HAVE OUR EVENING DINNER THERE FROM THE ALA/ CART MENU BUT NOT ALOT TO CHOSE FROM. LOCATION , WAS GREAT WITH A LAKE NEAR BY AND RIVER

THE HAIR DRYER IN THE BATHROOM WAS BROKEN TO THE POINT YOU MAY GET AN ELECTRIC SHOCK AS THE CASING WAS MISSING /BROKEN, SO INFORMED THE RECEPTION THE NEXT MORNING WHEN WE FOUND THE PROBLEM

Great location towards one end of the town and directly opposite the bus station. Big car park, but considering the number of rooms this place has, it’ll get full in the height of summer. Rooms are comfortable, but no kettle or coffee machine. The best bit by far is the amazing breakfast. I had to go around twice to understand what was there. Amazing! Will certainly stay here again….

Would have liked a kettle and some tea/coffee making ingredients….

Perfect location for our purposes. This is a big hotel but very easy check-in and -out. Sadly the reastaurant was closed when we were there, but there are plenty of restaurants to choose from nearby. This hotel offered the best breakfast I've seen for years! Keep it up!

The hotel is in need of some maintenance; most visible stuff like a hole in the carpet of our bedroom, a crack straight through the floor of our balcony and other stuff.

It's a chain, so you may expect the usual quality. The room was large, WC and bath were proper and functional, yet the furniture appeared to have seen better days. Importantly, there was a fridge in the room. If you did not pay for the beautiful view over the lake, you may still enjoy it at the terrace bar/restaurant. The choice of food for breakfast is nearly limitless.

We stayed in the hotel one night during storm 'Hans'. The hotel was appointed evacuation hotel by the local authorities and therefor crowded. Nevertheless staff handled everything very professional and friendly. Even breakfast, although very busy in the restaurant, was of top quality!

Good breakfast, helpful staff, room and swimming pool were clean. Nice view on the lake. Good curtains which is a plus in Norway in June when it almost doesn't get dark :-)

Rooms a little old-fashioned (including balcony), same for the swimming pool facilities. Accessibility not always good (some parts not accessible with the elevator). In general the entire building looked a little outdated.

Comfortable room, absolutely fantastic breakfast with lots of choice, great hotel, in a good location for our journey back to Oslo

I was disappointed that the pool and gym were closed, but this was sadly unavoidable due to the recent flooding.

Hotel was ideally placed for me, in a beautiful location. Evening meal was excellent and breakfast was superb, with everything you could want. plenty of parking at property, and a wonderful outdoor seating area to enjoy a beautiful day

Scandic Valdres is in one of the prettiest locations in Norway, the beautiful town of Fagernes. The hotel is right on the lake, and you can walk all around the area via trails and foot-bridges. The room's balcony overlooked this beauty. The hotel itself is elegant and well-appointed, offering excellent food and a very comfortable stay.

Good and varied selection at breakfast including eggs and separate bacon (extra plus for that).

Took some time before I discovered the security line for the window (due to ground level) was possible to disconnect to open the window fully to cool the room (it was a warm day). Would be helpful with a little pictorial next to that.
