What a fabulous stay in Nordseter! This was our first trip to Norway for cross-country skiing - both the skiing and the hotel did not disappoint. The hotel was very cosy and warm, and had a lovely homely feel to it; lots of cosy arm chairs, wooden panelling. The staff were relaxed and always very helpful. Although it wasn't very big, our room was warm and comfortable with en-suite shower and toilet. Even though temperatures outside varied from -8C to -15C it was warm and cosy in the hotel with an open fire crackling away in the guest's lounge. As well as the great skiing and the lovely hotel, one of the real highlights was the sumptuous, tasty food. It was buffet style with a huge variety of salads, vegetables, fish, meat, potatoes, rices, quiches, puddings, cheeses, you name it; it was there. It was hard to believe that one chef (clearly a real champion) and a couple of waiting staff could produce so much food at such excellent quality. Bravo! The cross-country skiing area was first class and we could easily ski to and from the hotel. We are definitely planning to go back in summer. Norway is absolutely wonderful.

I enjoyed staying at the mountain view apartment. The view was beautiful, the apartment had everything I needed, was clean and comfortable. I especially enjoyed the private sauna. There are many beautiful homes starting just on your door step.

The building is not very sound proof. Through the wooden floor every step, the guests on the floor above mine took, was very loud in my apartment.

I like the cozy apartment and the nature around it. We did not have a car and came up to the place by bus which was really tricky since on Satruday there are only two busses going to the center and if you go down from Nordseter to Lillehammer by bus, u have to come back by taxi. There was no food shop nor restaurant in Nordseter so we had to go by taxi to Sjøsuen kiwi and buy food for our stay. On Sunday only one buss runs down to Lilehammer at 14:30, not earlier then that not later.I think its good idea if the rental property mentions this things, so people are aware not to come without car.

Clean, easy check-in and check-out, sauna in the apartment worked great, great view. Comfy beds. Proper cleaning equipment is provided.

Requires thorough cleaning (or pay a hefty cleaning fee), the main room's windows cannot be opened. Only a single piece of wood for the wood stove was provided (although we did not ask anyone for more).

Great location for cc skiing Piano (main building), chimney and sauna were a joy Good Service

In the beginning 'upgrade' to a different room, which was slightly bigger but we didn't like as much as the one we booked. Slight differences about it were solved in a professional way.

the staff was really friendly, always there when needed and helpful with questions :) the rooms are very clean & we had a cute sitting area with two chairs and sheep wool on it. the beds were very comfortable :) in the surrounding areas sheep and cows are roaming free, which I really loved as well! also the view on the terrace is amazing. the breakfast had vegan milk (oatly), vegan Yoghurt and vegan butter, which was nice. also different vegetables and fruits.

the door to the bathroom couldn’t open properly, it was a little tight with the bed. so in the room we had, a bigger person might have a problem getting into the bathroom. :)

Location, ease of having all meals included in the price and cozy common areas.

We have stayed at this property a few times and we have experiences them running out pf breakfast basics (bread, eggs etc) quite early. Food planning and preparation for busy weekends could be improved.

Everything worked extremely well and the place was exactly as described- including a wonderful sauna in room.

Only improvement would be to have the snow cleared better from the entrance stairs. It was frozen and the footing was quite poor.

Exceptional buffet breakfast and dinner, lovely lounges, some with open fire. Excellent cleanliness and lovely staff, good access to extras at meal times, nothing was too much trouble! I came with two young children and very elderly mother, and we were made to feel very welcome, it was truly a lovely and authentic Fjellstue! The kids adored the sledge hill, and it was fantastic to be able to ski straight out from the lodge. Lovely snow conditions, and just the right amount of cold !! -10C!! We had great views of the valley from out room too! Very little neighbour noise, nice and quiet location. Excellent value for money, would go back again!

My elderly mother did struggle a bit with the stairs and there was no lift, but I should have checked that out before hand, but worth knowing if poor mobility. Our room was great, shower a bit basic but fully functional, great tv, kids loved it. Could have done with some more hooks to hang up wet clothes! Mother's room was huge but more basic with only a sink and could have done with a bedside light. She had a great radiator that we dried all our wet ski clothes on.

Perfect place to stay, very Nice apartament in an amazing location. Very nice staff. All great.

Long cleaning list before check out was the thing which surprised both of us. I understand and is obvious to leave the place clean. Cleaning mirrors / windows, vacum whole place and washing floor really surprised us. Anyway place is Worth to stay.
