We had early flight to Oman and when we came to the hotel, they gave us the room more than 4 hours before check in. We were and still are very grateful. Room was very cozy, nice roof top pool, breakfast was delicious. Everything was perfect.

Hotel was conveniently located, Clean and the rooms were a good size.

Nothing to dislike.

If you want a spacious, comfortable suite in Muscat, Citadines Al Ghubrah is an excellent choice. The hotel itself is modern, clean, and comfortable. The suite felt very spacious, with a separate kitchen, sitting room, bedroom and bath. Service was friendly and courteous, and the rooftop pool and the gym were well-maintained and very welcome. We were travelling for pleasure, but this also looks like an excellent choice for business travel as well, with a nice café in the lobby for casual meetings.

Muscat is a city that sprawls over a very large geographical area, with large open areas and a lot of space given over to motorways. As such, you are not going to find many hotels that are 'central' (because the old city around Mutrah and Muscat proper is quite small). So, while you can walk to the marvellous Sultan Qaboos Mosque from the Citadines, you will be driving most places, and the area around the hotel doesn't have footpaths. But this will be true of all but a handful of Muscat hotels. Our only other quibble were the strange aromas that would appear if were turned off the ventilation system (frankinscence, on one occasion, cooking chicken on another); however, the aromas disappeared when the air was turned back on, so it wasn't really an issue.

To begin with, I would like to note that the room fully matched the photos on the website. The room was clean and cozy, and it had everything necessary for everyday convenience: toothpaste, toothbrush, gel, shampoo, hairdryer, iron, and a safe. The kitchen had all the necessary equipment for cooking. The hotel was very clean, and the lobby always smelled nice. I want to specifically mention that all the hotel staff were very polite, friendly, and always ready to help in any situation. There is a beautiful pool on the roof, and the hotel also has a gym! I am delighted with my stay at this hotel!

They thought about the little things,ironing board, needle and thread, scissors, slippers, shower cap, cutlery, good clean microwave. Location 4mins by taxi to the sultan qaboos mosque. 16 mins from muscat international airport. 15-18 mins from Qurum. 20mins from Mutrah Souq and fort.

Bed was a little hard and can hear neighbours in hotel moving furniture during the night, noice insulation was great, but it wasn’t a deal breaker.

Very comfortable with helpful staff. Upgraded us on early arrival due to flight so we didn’t have to wait in the lobby. Front of house lady M? Was particularly helpful when major problem with hire company with phoning them on her mobile. Room was very comfortable with the advantage of a kitchen enabling small meals to be made. One of the best rooms we stayed at in Oman at good value. Recommend getting the OTaxi app as prices quoted and they find you. Other taxis a bit of a lottery with Jonny Ball think of a number pricing. Remember to take a head scarf for the mosque as they don’t have loans but an onsite shop. Food Supermarkets with walking if you can cope with the heat.

Good location for the Sultan Qaboos mosque, MallofOman and the airport but a good 10k distance from old Muscat for the souk.

Good value stay. Cleanliness was exceptional!! Please do keep up the good standards. The staff at the reception were friendly and accommodating, especially Mohannad and Ashwin.

This is purely constructive criticism and not to be taken personally! Other staff (whom I didn't interact with) didn't seem that friendly. There wasn't much smiling by those who seemed like staff (they were not in uniform). However, I didn't get a chance to meet any of them. I am sure they would have been lovely. But the mere fact that they looked on suspiciously was slightly discomforting. Even though, it did not diminish from the overall satisfaction. I enjoyed the stay very much. Thank you.

+ having kitchen with all necessary things ( microwave + plate + spoon + refrigerator + ....) + free Laundry room for guests + almost everything is available nearby ( all kind of shops) + parking

- no proper yellow lighting for room - distance between table & bed is 50cm which if anyone is sitting you can't walk - internet doesn't allow to connect more that 2 devices which don't make sense ( I alone have 2 phone + laptop , imagine If there are two people) - they didn't have good shampoo so you need to bring yours

I stayed at Citadines for 9 days with my kids and had a good experience studio was spacious and clean. The staff was amicable, and the receptionist, Miss Oolaye, was very kind and accommodating.

I suggest that Citadines provide families with separate studios without connected rooms, as the noise from adjoining rooms is disturbing. Additionally i was with kids there must be something for kids entertainment as well.

Very nice hotel with all necessary equipment in the room (iron, hairdryer, kettle etc). Very clean. Friendly and helpful staff. Small but nice swimming pool on the roof. Located closely to the Grand Mosque, with a lot of supermarkets and cafes/restaurants around. Nearby also a bus stop that takes you to tge touristic area of Mutrah.

Hard beds (i like them but may be an issue for some). Very thin walls so you can hear your neihbgours/their tv etc. Wasn't a big issue during our stay though.
