Elegant, beautifully designed hotel with a 25 metre pool set in attractive gardens. The rooms were spacious and well equipped - we had a sofa as well as an armchair. The food was delicious, especially when they had the evening bbq by the pool. The hotel made a great base for exploring the area. It is easy to find and park in. It’s a completely straightforward 20 minute drive into the large car park by the souk in Nizwa. It’s also well worth making the 7 minute drive into Birkat Al Mouz, a destination not to be missed. Strongly recommended.

We were very happy with all aspects of the hotel.

Nice place, friendly staff, hotel was not busy and quiet so it was a good chance to relax. It is quite far from everywhere but should be fine of you have a car. The pool was very clean and kids friendly. breakfast good with many varities. They had bbq dinner for the 2 nights we did around the pool at 12 OMR/person. Food was very good and the atmosphere was perfect.

Room is a little old. This was not an issue, as the atmosphere and the mountain at the back of the hotel was making a good harmony.

The hotel was very nice, very well located just outside Nizwa. The swimming pool is fabulous and welcome after a day in the heat. The room was clean, spacious and well appointed. We had dinner there, it was bbq night and it was one of the best meal we've had in Oman. The concierge was very helpful and managed to organised a guide for us to take us around at the last minute.

The bed was extremely hard. It felt like sleeping on the floor. The breakfast could be a bit better.

Actually a great hotel ! I do not understand why this has only 7,9 score. It is very spacious, wonderful Oman interior and great food. Nice rooms connecting to the great pool and very quiet. Yes, it is a bit remote from Nizwa, but I suppose people have rental cars, which makes it super as a basis for the surrounding visits of towns and sightseeings. Really, this is worth a 10 in my opinion. So do not hesitate and book this hotel. Much better than all what is to offer in Nizwa itself ! You won't regret it.

absolutely nothing ! we ended up staying 3 nights because we loved it. (we were on the end of our trip, so the serenity was very welcome)

The hotel is located slightly away from the centre and each room has different but good views. The stay was overall comfortable and good. The food is good as well.

Certain aspects of the property need to be upgraded/renovated. The furniture in rooms and lift in the building is old. While the property provides games for entertainment, they are old, not well maintained, and need to be upgraded.

The staff are great and very helpful. The property is away from town so is very quiet. There is a lovely, clean pool. The rooms are spacious and very clean. We enjoyed the evening barbecues outside by the pool. Breakfasts were also great. We really enjoyed our stay.

The faciltiy is a little tired and could use some maintenance. However, this did not distract from our enjoyment.

This is my second visit as the hotel offer best value of money in town. Room always squeaky clean, good breakfast, complete facilities, nice, quiet and cozy. Kind and accomodating staff especially Lucy who is very welcoming and gave free upgrade since there is availability. Check-out was smooth assisted by Samia, Lucky and Abdullah. Breakfast attended by Durga. Thank you also to Wasit Bar and In-Room Dining staff who always serve good quality food to the room.

Always come back here for their fish and chips, however this time they kind of overcooked and the breading is burnt. Please develop the recipe for waffle and pancake in breakfast, the texture is kind of dense when it's cold.

Everything: the spacious rooms, the tasty food, the cleanliness, the facilities, the games area,the breakfasts. My child could sleep on the sofa bed. We enjoyed the veranda facing the pool, the view of the mountains, the kids' park, and the caring staff, including kind and attentive service from everyone. Rooms were cleaned daily. Everything seems brand new and extremely clean!

Overall Experience of staying in Golden Tulip was Good. Staff was exceptional and rooms were comfy. Housekeeping was good. For anyone looking to have a night halt prior to or post visiting Jebel Akhdar, this is an ideal location. Interiors are really classic and makes you feel as if you are living in a old palace.

Breakfast Menu while elaborate, there were limited choices for Vegetarians.

Comfortable rooms., friendly staff. pool area attractive and shaded by beautiful old trees. Good poolside bbqs every evening. Although it’s much used by tour groups, they arrive late and leave early so it’s peaceful during the day and an easy drive into Nizwa

The air conditioning is not very effective. The indoor restaurant area, where one must take breakfast, is stuffy and has no access to the outside areas.
