The hotel is extremely well located, and just as charming. The owner is an antique collector and the property almost feels like staying in a museum. Loved it! Breakfast was simple and always tasty with coffee, fresh made juice, crusty bread & jam, and eggs. Staff very helpful with recommendations and good advice for the neighbourhood.

The only criticism is the soundproofing was not very good, so I could hear people in other rooms. One of the staff would yell "gringo" fairly regularly after an interaction when I was out of sight. It was funny, but not very professional.

Are you looking for an atypical hotel with charm and personality? Are you looking to stay in a vintage mansion from the early 1900’s? Are you looking for friendly from hosts? Look no further. This is your place of choice in Barranco. This unconventional guesthouse is amazingly decorated. Though you might be a bit puzzled initially, it has all of the required comfort that you would expect and thus offers good value for the price!

The bohemian feel that is not surprising in the neighborhood can maybe be a bit disorienting. I would also invite hosts to maybe adjust their dress code. 😌

Management and staff went over and above to accommodate me. My flight from the US was delayed 4 hours, arriving in Lima after 2am. They assured me that the driver would pick me up at the airport. The night-manager met me at arrivals, and helped me settle in when we got to the hotel. It was such a relief to be cared for so nicely when coming to Peru for the first time! I felt taken care of as though I were family. My room was large and comfortable with a balcony, good quiet AC, and a nice shower with plenty of hot water. I loved the art and shabby chic decor in my room and throughout the hotel. Complimentary breakfast was excellent, even better than expected. The location in Barranco is superb, close to the Museum of Contemporary Art, the walkway along the cliff by the sea, and other favorite spots in this trendy neighborhood. The owner, Giancarlo, is committed to offering his guests a wonderful experience. On my way to the airport my heart sank when I discovered that I didn't have my passport. I called the hotel and the staff found it. There wasn't time for me to drive back to the hotel to get it, so Giancarlo called a taxi, which picked up my wallet from Casa Falleri and delivered it to me at the airport in plenty of time for my flight. Given the uncertainties of travel, especially in Latin America, having a hotel that you can trust to help you out in a pinch is priceless. Thank you Giancarlo and Casa Falleri!

The tourist publicity says Barranco is bohemian. In the 6 years since I last saw it, it has also become tired and gritty. Old buildings are falling apart, some restaurants are ordinary, traffic is worse. Maybe Casa Falleri' is bohemian too, or just eccentric. It's like 10 of Dickens' Old Curiosity Shops jammed in together, and they haven't sold anything for years. Every surface is covered in bric-a-brac. Staff are 'out of the box' too. Very helpful, and also eccentric. The street out front is very noisy but there is glazing to deaden it. The king size bed was very comfortable, the bathroom large and modern, while the room's plaster refit hasn't worked. A unique experience.

A work desk would have been handy. Breakfast was ok but a bit average. Fresh juice, banana, scrambled eggs, white bread roll with herb, butter and jam, strong coffee. A healthy cereal would improve things a lot.

The hotel is an artwork in itself. The owner Giancarlo has collected pieces of art from all over to furnish and decorate this old grand spanish house. The staff were very supportive when dealing with little dramas that occurred. We loved the breakfast cooked by Ragna and loved connecting with him, sharing stories and ideas. We loved our stay here. Our room had a little balcony overlooking the main street, the bed very comfortable. Loved the artwork on the walls. It felt like we were in another era.

The shower hot water took an age to come through. Only a minor matter. Oh the taxi they arranged from the airport was quite expensive. Make sure you are clear if you only want a one way fare from the airport.

Location in the Barranco area is great for art and good food spots. The host was very welcoming and even made us a packed lunch for our long bus journey when we left! Breakfast was also tasty and the hotel has many interesting antiquities which gave it an alternative atmosphere

The building is a little bit dated so some fixtures and fittings were loose, bits of plaster dust in the corner of the room. But this is normal for the Barranco district, any building of that size and age will have the same issues.

The staff was incredible! Personal care and personalized recommendations abound. The hotel building itself has incredible history and is chock full of Lima history come to life. You'll never forget it!

All old buildings have their quirks, of course. A deeper clean before arrival (sky-high ceilings) and more amenities (robust toiletries, etc) on hand during our stay would have made us that much more comfortable.

This place is so beautiful and historic. It was originally a casona (mansion) that was built by Mr Falleri for his wife. We stayed in room 6. The bed was comfortable and I loved the sound-reducing windows and doors that were placed over the original shutters and doors. This kept the original doors/shutters intact. It’s within walking distance from restaurants, pharmacies, and the Barranco Plaza. We’ll definitely stay here again. The staff was kind and made sure we were comfortable. Thank you, Giancarlo, Reg, George, and the rest of the staff for the unforgettable experience.

Unique hotel, beautiful interior and very friendly and helpful staff, trying to help you make the best of your stay. Located close to the center of Barranco and had everything in walking distance.

An older building comes with older facilities, so the shower was a bit wonky and the windows provided light but not really fresh air. But with the tall ceiling, it wasn't an issue at all and I still enjoyed my room a lot.

The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. We felt more like part of a family than as hotel guests. it is conveniently located to a lot of restaurants (try Mérito!) bars and boutiques. the express bus metropolitano is about 10 minutes walking distance and takes you to the city center. In the hotel, we felt as if we were staying in a museum. the owner apparently collected lots of things during the pandemic: old discs, paintings, toys, you name it. Lots of things to see.

if you want your space squeaky clean, that place is not for you.
