it’s a beautiful house in a great location in Barranco which felt very safe for us. Close to bars, restaurants and sites. great breakfast. all the staff were very helpful and polite with great English.

There is quite a lot of noise in the mornings from the staff cleaning the breakfast dishes in the garden so the noise echoed upwards to the rooms. Small thing - but our room was very spacious and it would be nice to have an armchair instead of needing to sit on the bed. also it was fine as we are married but if you were sharing with a friend, you might want a door on the bathroom.

The staff, particularly those working at the gorgeous rooftop bar/restaurant and at breakfast, were friendly, kind, helpful and super fun to talk to. We stayed for 2 nights and didn't want to leave: The location is perfect for exploring Barranco and Miraflores, it is easy to get a taxi or Uber to other parts of Lima, and it is on a lovely street. The building is beautiful and inviting and our room was spotless and the beds very comfortable. Breakfast was amazing! The dining room is charming, filtered water is always available, and the variety and quantity of food at breakfast was excellent. Highly recommended.

Our stay at Casa Republica Barranco was perfect. I wouldn't change a thing!

The staff were kind, welcoming, and helpful to a fault. The room was enormous and the bed comfortable. The bathroom was huge, though oddly laid out. The building and garden were beautiful as well.

The 108 room has a glass wall that faces the garden, which is also the bar, so it can be very loud. Also, the only way to have privacy is to pull a giant blackout curtain across that wall, which makes the room very dark, but the lighting is sparse in most of the room. The bathroom on the other hand has 4 different light switches and sources on two panels, which is also the light to the dressing area. The safe is very low to the ground, making the instructions and operation difficult for someone with a bad back like me. But other than these quirks it was very nice.

Loved the breakfast! Romero was very helpful. The location was perfect.

We didn't know we could order omelets until we saw someone receive one. It was only on the 3rd day of our stay a card was desplayed in the buffet area. The omelets were delicious! The air conditioner in our room was a bit noisy and wasn't working the first night because of dead batteries in the remote. It was fixed very quickly when we told the staff. Our room faced the courtyard which was lovely for sitting but was noisy when people were congregating and staff was working. However, it was not noisy betweent the hours of 10pm to 8am which was great!

The hotel is located in a beautiful building in a posh area. Walk one block and the sea view is amazing. You can probably move around in Barranquito at night as well. It is safe, nice and full of local restaurants. The service is good and the atmosphere relaxing. Breakfast is limited but of high quality. You can choose between having breakfast in the garden or inside. Would we stay there again - Yes we would!

Major warning. Rooms 101 to 104 are on the bottom floor with only a thin door to the reception area. Just outside room 101 there is a sofa group and room 104 (slightly bigger) is next to the entrance. However, the worst noises came from the room above. When guests are moving the suitcases it feels like an earthquake. Every step can be heard. Bottom line, make sure you book a room on the second floor otherwise you will not have a silent moment during your well deserved vacation.

All the staff are absolutely wonderful; very friendly, welcoming, good communication, and helpful. The room was very comfortable and the bed was the best I think I have ever slept in. The breakfast was very good with a wide range of options. We would recommend using their bicycles to ride along the ocean front - there was a a cycle track all the way. The roof top bar is perfect for an early evening drink. The hotel is elegant and quiet and well located in the Barranco neighbourhood which felt safe and welcoming.

Excellent and friendly staff, clean, safe area, quiet and good breakfast!

We are not sure, if it was the owner himself. We played cards in the garden and enjoyed the sun. The owner put on some music. We felt disturbed and moved the speaker. He laughed at us and has made it louder. We perceived this behavior as extremely rude. Nonetheless, the staff and hotel itself are fantastic!

This is a wonderful hotel, in a prime location in Barranco. The room, even though next to the Reception therefore a bit noisy, exceeded our expectations, especially the bathroom was that of a 5* hotel! Incredible. Breakfast has all you need. Service was excellent as well, with all our transportation needs promptly taken care of. We had initially booked 1 night and ended up staying 2! We were on our honeymoon and they gifted us some sweet treats, which was incredible appreciated.

It's expensive for Peru standards! But after two weeks travelling we didn't regret spending that money for extra comfort. Location of our room was not excellent as it was right by the Reception therefore noisy, however it was one of the few rooms with a private outdoor terrace, which made up for it. They provide ear plugs so no issue sleeping anyways. For a hotel of that level, the take-away breakfast should be a bit better (especially compared to the one you can enjoy in the hotel for the same price).

Perfect location at Barranco area. Hotel has everything to make you stay comfortable. Staff was very helpful and respectful. There is coffee, tea and filtered water available all day long. Rooftop was quite nice and had great drinks and nibbles. Staff was very nice too.

The garden restaurant was a bit noisy for a few nights and disturbed the rooms.

Beautiful, old building with great photography on the walls throughout. Amazing beds. Bathtub. Earplugs provided. Eggs on demand. Very kind staff. The rooftop bar serves the papas bravas I've ever had.

It's a mansion so there's noise from the hallway and the reception downstairs. They seemed to run out of breakfast items early and very small breakfast room. Awkward view of walls and the courtyard for such an expensive hotel. No elevator.
