A very nice hotel at the area of Miraflores. Very close to restaurants and malls. The personel was polite and helpful. The breakfast was good enough

The only negative that i found at this hotel is that the tiles at the shower are extremely slippery.For sure someone will have accident

Good breakfast (though the layout caused some traffic flow issues for people), good coffee, liked that you had water coolers in areas around the hotel for drinking water. Nice sitting areas around the ground floor lobby and garden areas. Friendly staff, liked that there was a doorman. Reasonable price. Good location. Liked that the bathroom had refillable wall containers for shampoo and shower gel instead of the dumb little plastic envelope of shampoo other hotels in Peru gave us.

Could use better ventilation in bathrooms. Our room with 2 beds only had one bedside table & lamp, outlets not conveniently placed, no desk or chair, only 1 place to put 1 suitcase.

El Tambo is located very conveniently in Miraflores. It's in walking distance from the ocean and there are many nice restaurants and shops around. The staff was very nice and helpful. Initially we were checked into a room with 2 single beds by mistake. When we asked them, they moved us to a room with a queen bed and they were very nice to move our luggage while we were out sightseeing. Both rooms we stayed in were functional, nothing fancy but pretty comfortable.

The sound isolation in the rooms was very bad. We could hear every movement in the corridor, as well as in the rooms next to us. We could hear the sound of water in the shower from other rooms and even the sound of a hairdryer. Luckily it was getting quieter towards 11-12in the evening.

Great location, wonderful staff, very much appreciated the supply of drinkable cold or hot boiling water, great shower and water pressure, nice lighting in bathroom, spacious bathroom, room service was great. Nice fresh fruit and fruit juices in the morning. Liked the out door setting very much!

No fridge! No mini bar! No cups provided! Walls a bit dark and paintings a bit sad! The wonderful murals of birds etc in the hallways were so beautiful in contrast. The breakfast could have been so much better with more healthy options. The scrambled eggs were soggy every morning. There was only super sweet yoghurt and cereal. Travelers from overseas like plain yoghurt and granola. No gluten free bread option! Having menus displayed in the restaurant and rooms would be nice for ordering room service!

The breakfast was one of the best of our month long trip in Peru/Ecuador. Breakfast room was very nice, too. Great location and safe feeling space. Always someone at the door to let us in/out. Aside from the check in experience the staff were great. I would recommend this property!

I arrived late at night after a very long flight and they didn't have what room I was going to get at all sorted out. We were a party of three and I booked a room with three beds. She started asking questions as though I had just walked in off the street...asking how many nights and guests etc even after giving her my reservation number. Not a huge problem but at 1am when that exhausted it was stressful because she acted as though perhaps my reservation did not exist.

The staff was exceptionally accommodating and friendly. The included breakfast was fresh and good, much better than typical Peruvian hotels, though Americans may find it lacking. Everything was clean and well presented. The location is fantastic, with a short walk to many of the excellent amenities in Miraflores. The family-style rooms with three beds each was perfect for my group. The AC blew cold and it was fantastic!

The beds were very nice, though could be better and more modern (memory foam). It creeped me out that the sliding glass door to the deck did not lock. Though nearly impossible for someone to climb to it, this is an easy fix.

I stayed here three separate times on my Peru trip. The staff is very helpful and the hotel is in a quiet residential part of Miraflores. Our family room was spacious. The breakfast was excellent with lots of variety. The hotel is well taken care of. Water filters are available around the property.

The toilets had very small tanks so did not flush well. The only garbage can was a small one for toilet paper in the bathroom which was annoying. Although it was in a quiet neighborhood, the drawback was that it took about 8-10 minutes to walk to an area with lots of shops and restaurants.

The wi-fi Internet is very bad! And some mornings the cleaning service makes a lot of noise at 7-8 am 😩

I loved the central space which was essentially an outdoor indoors, the grassy zone with beautiful flowers adjacent to the breakfast room. Also loved the free filtered water for guests, because, as an intercontinental traveler, constantly finding enough safe water for the family to drink is a source of stress.

Could hear some street noise throughout the night

Great location, quiet, comfortable bed/room, good shower, friendly staff, excellent waffles, and overall value. It felt like staying in a more luxurious boutique hotel. The staff was very friendly to our dog, and there are plenty of nearby parks for him to explore. We stayed in a few places in Lima and wish we found this sooner. We'll be back for sure.

We wish we stayed longer
