The room, comfortable beds, great bath and shower, excellent breakfast and staff there. The location is perfect for visit to Historic Centre, is in walking distance.

The organisation at check-in. Three clerks, before us a huge group with vouchers, not queueing, disorganised. Because of this me and two other couples had to wait over 35 minutes (!) to get assistance. Why not have two clerks help the group and the other help regular guests. Worst check-in experience I ever had. After a twelve hour flight this is not what you expect in a hotel like Sheraton.

The hotel location is very good. I was given a room on the 5th level overlooking the central square right across the road from the hotel. In the evening, I could see people enjoying themselves dancing throughout the evening with live music and drums. There's a shopping mall right next to the hotel and it has many food and beverage outlets. And there are more than 2 pharmacies where I could buy my high altitude sickness medicine without doctor's prescription.

The room cleaning service could have been a little better. I have to request for the room to be cleaned on more than 2 days out of the few days of my stay.

Staff were first class. As was the water heat, pressure, tub in room; all great. Pool was nice, breakfast was great. Wonderful spot for central and historic Lima. Would stay again anytime. Diana our server at breakfast, one day, was very good.

They asked for an early check-in fee, was ridiculous. The AC in room was not thermostat or self set. You could only turn fan on high, medium, low, or off. We were fine, but it could bother someone wanting 'very cold' room. Sound was fine from street because we had higher level but I am unsure about closer to street level noise for 'front facing' rooms. Rear facing rooms seemed better for lower levels.

The location is close to the old town. So if you want to see not trendy and globalized Miraflores but by UNESCO protected magnificent old town of Lima you should stay here… The hotel stuff I found very helpful and ready to solve any of your problems, really nice people. And the views from the upper floors are breathtaking…

The hotel is old and surely needs significant renovation to correspond to international Sheraton standards. Now it looks like the memorial of the end of the last century… Something can be done right now — f.e. to arrange tea and coffee facilities in the rooms, to provide guests with robes and room shoes…

I like the most the attitude of the stuff to us in the Recepion- name o the lady that served us was Maria Elena who helped us to find any answer to any question we had. Another stuff that helped was The security Superviser name Stuart who escort us to a clinic near by the hotel . Helped us as a translatore with the Doctor & with buying the medicine we needed to buy. So the last one we apprichiate much was Melisa, that incharge of the Dinning Room she served us with patient and a big smile. When we left the hotel we could feel thatnothing every stuff we talked to did the best to improove our staying :))

The hotel is what you expect from Sheraton/Mariott. There is a shopping mall right next to the hotel and it's right among the government buildings in the historic district. We did not go out much from the hotel, but the bar and restaurant in the hotel were good. The staff was very accommodating. My husband did not get his Mariott points as he didn't book through the hotel directly, just a heads up.

We used the Sheraton twice for basically overnights, and at night, when traffic is light, the ride from the airport is about 30 minutes. During peak traffic, it can take up to an hour. Not the Sheraton's fault, it's just Lima.

Breakfast good enough but not excellent. Need more variety on breads, such as having wheat bread.

Breakfast runners/waiters need to be more alert. Since most people drink coffee and/or tea, in the morning, all tables should have a coffee cup and tea spoon on the table. For instance I requested a cup of coffee for my table, waiter brough the cup and not the coffee, until I call their attention. I also noticed that the lobby have only four chairs and one ambient, I believe is too limited. I would recommend to have more lobby seating arrangements, since this main floor have a large open area.

Our room (18th floor) was excellent, very comfortable and a great view of the dancers every night. Breakfast was good.

It was very loud the first night we arrived as there was a gig taking place on the ground floor. When we asked for a kettle and a hairdryer (found it hard to believe these weren't in the room) we had to ask more than 3 times for each to arrive. There was a dj on the Saturday night playing music that no-one was dancing to, whilst standing in front of the tv screen where football was showing - very random and not very 5 star!!

I can't wait to stay at Sheraton Lima Historic Center again! Every employee treated us like family and were so professional. William made us coffees with surprise foam art designs, Alex was a gentleman helping us with our bags and making us feeling welcome, and Estefany always had a smile on her face when she greeted us for breakfast. Not only was the stay just amazing, but I think the hotel staff saved my life. I had a terrible case of food poisoning (which I know was not a result of hotel food but either local cheese from my relatives or ceviche from a restaurant) and the hotel staff were quick to call me a doctor and then an ambulance to get me to the hospital. I was not in a position to take care of myself, and Enrique (we believe this was the Manager who made the call) and Stuart (Lead Security) did just that. I will be returning to Peru to visit family often and I will ALWAYS stay with Sheraton Lima Historic Center!

The buffet was VERY GOOD I liked specialy the "seco de cordero" the day when the "criollo buffet" was served. It's a Wonderfull idea the buffet have a different kind of food everyday!.. I think the price is fine too!

The cold...very cold weather in lima and I was surprised to learn THE Sheraton! didn't have central heating! I call the front desk about it and they were kind to send me a small portable heater. Not so efficient, but OK.
