I will always recommend this hotel! It exceed our expectations. It had everything a luxury hotel would have: big, spacious and modern bedrooms and bathrooms, high quality restaurant for breakfast and dinner, convinient location 1 step from the train, ammenities and garden, and great staff! They were able to accomodate all our requests, took care of our lugage, gave us local recommnedations and prepared breakfast boxes for early birds. Also, we read that it could be noisy being next to the train, but the last train leaves at 9 o'clock and the first at 5 o'clock, and from our room in the courtyard we heard nothing. The hotel also offered tasting tours of their local liquor and have a restaurant in the main square. Amazing quality/price!

I liked almost everything, especially the staff. I was treated like royalty by everyone. The food was excellent, especially the breakfast. While I had to walk ten minutes to town, I had a wonderful path to take me there, avoiding all traffic and noise.
There were two things I believe they could improve. The music in the dining room was too loud. The real problem for me was the fact that they advertised on their website that if someone stays three days consecutively, they are entitled to a complimentary Pachamanca meal. They did not honor this because I made my reservations on Booking.com. I would not have even known about the hotel had I not found them on Booking.com. I felt this was unworthy of their establishment to deny me this, especially since I stayed 5 days and ate only in both of their restaurants.

It is a lovely charming quirky property and if you get the right room/s the noise or smell of the trains when they stop on their journeys to Machu Picchu shouldn’t bother most people. The staff are very friendly and very helpful too. Lovely garden/s and no 18 is quiet with lovely views. And only 2soles (50p )tuk-tuk ride 5mins upto the charming main square - and 10 mins walk back down.
Personally, however, it does feel significantly overpriced for what it is - and I wonder whether it is living on its reputation rather than working out more pro-active to enhance the customer experience experience - eg as a tiny example: actively offer a breakfast box for early trips and just look at what other hotels in this price bracket offer to make people feel special.

A very good hotel for one or two nights when visiting Machu Picchu. Location in Ollantaytambo is the best, right at the platform for the trains to and from Machu Picchu, very convenient. We stayed here two nights, before and after visiting Machu Picchu and we liked it a lot. Rooms are spacious and very comfortable. Nice restaurant with good food. Breakfast offers everything you need.
As the hotel is located next to the trains, you can here the trains honking. Mainly during the day and evening. Prepare yourself with ear plugs and there is no problem. The location of the hotel and all other positive aspects of this hotel, compensate this little noice.

What a beautiful hotel! We loved our rooms - rustic with a hint of luxury - and the gardens that surround each building. The location at the train station meant dealing with some noise but it was very convenient for catching the train to and from Machu Picchu. We stayed for the pachamanca lunch after checking out - a really special meal in a beautiful farm setting. Highly recommend all of it!
The smoke alarm in my room was beeping late one night and the person at the reception desk couldn't seem to do anything about it. The hotel needs to have someone there who can handle minor situations like changing a smoke alarm battery.

I would say it this way- I have travelled to 74 countries, stayed in hundreds of hotels and this one is in top 5 places which positively impressed me. It’s clean, organic and so well built hotel - you will enjoy a lot. Spend extra time to have a view on mountains/garden, it’s worth it. Spend time to visit their garden, plantations, and see the nature. Restaurant is fantastic with the food.
It may get slightly cold before the morning, cause heating is on in the evening and then at some point gets off. But we had our own small heater so it helped us during our travel to Machu Picchu.

Amazing staff, courteous and helpful. Property looks amazing, there is a hammock to relax, farm to visit, Inca pathway to stroll, etc. Cafe Mayu (also on the railway platform) nearby has amazing coffee/hot chocolate. The hotel is located bang on the railway station, and getting into Machu Picchu trains is the easiest from here. Getting to the ruins, or Plaza de Armas from here was also very easy.
The beds made a lot of sound on even the slightest of movements. The wooden floor was creaky. Unfortunately there was a dog that kept shouting/howling throughout the night (I understand it can't be controlled but that did affect our sleep). These were more than the train sound (which wasn't really bad to be honest). I would still rate this place as a very good place, if these things are fixed.

Hot Water was luxurious!!!! Rooms were spacious, beauifully designed and decorated, clean and comfortable with access to balconies onlooking the intimate garden surrounds. It was a drramt little oasis from the busy town centre and adjoining train station. Would stay here again!
Access from the platform seemed a little odd however a lot of the noise from the station was not that apparent once in the grounds. Need more than 1 night here to make the most from the hotel facilities such as the organic farm & distillery tour. Some reception staff seemed scattered when handling inquiries, as in would leave me mid query to assist with others shopping etc. Seemed like they could do with more staff at the front desk as reception was unmanned on arrival.

You could stay here just for the food and the garden alone! The hotel is an atmospheric old building with beamed ceilings and courtyards, all artistically updated. Not what you'd expect next to a train platform! The balconies in the upper floor rooms have mountain views and are very quiet. The restaurant features local Andean specialties, food grown in their own adjacent farm, and their own liqueurs. The location is perfect access for the train to Machu Picchu and the hotel somehow easily handles all the left baggage, given the baggage restrictions on the trains. Another plus: they were able to arrange private taxi transport back to the Cuzco airport, stopping at sights along the way. To get into town, they provide a map for a back pathway which avoids walking along the busy road. Perfect for going to the spectacular Ollantaytambo ruins and seeing the historic town.
Although the hotel is a bit of a walk from the town, this location is perfect for train and taxi access, and for transport to other sights in the Sacred Valley. But, if you wanted to spend several days in Ollantaytambo town itself, you might consider taking the mini-taxis or staying in town.

This hotel was adorable! The outdoor areas with all the plants where so nice, the room very clean and comfy, and the view was unreal. We were leaving very early the next day for the Inca Trail so we didn't get as much time in the hotel as we would have liked, but would have loved to spend a couple of nights here exploring!
The entrance to the hotel was right on the train tracks which was a bit odd and made it kind of difficult to get to. You had to tell the guards at the entrance gate to the train that you were headed to the hotel to get in and had to carry your luggage through the crowds to get to the entrance.
