Words can’t entirely describe eating breakfast on the restaurant with the clouds and ocean at your feet. It is truly something you have to experience to fully understand. John was really, really sweet and the entire Buko staff were so friendly and kind and accommodating. I’m not 100% sure but I think we got upgraded to the pool view bungalow/villa without even asking. And oh boy was it an experience. They also had a welcome board with my name on it at the front desk, a nice personal touch we enjoyed. Buko restaurant was actually really good! The pancakes and poached eggs with iced coffees were the best! Besides a wonderful breakfast, dinner/lunch was really delicious. The green curry and perri perri chicken /pasta took me right back to South Africa. The sunset from the pool was also something you’d have to experience first hand to full grasp and would recommend. All our requests were met, we had massages in our room, laundry was done for us, any questions were answered promptly. We’re going to return to El Nido and Buko will be on our list for sure.

First, More suggestions than criticisms here. The breakfast portions were quite large that I was replete after the meals and couldn’t even touch the complimentary fruit platter, I felt bad for wasting such delicious fruit. I would have the platter on request than provided. Second, I would have kayaks or paddle boards available to rent or complimentary for guests. That would of elevated our stay. But I can’t fault our stay at all. We left with a heavy heart and slow pace.

The staff. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. Aira and Arlyn are the best!!! Thank you so much for everything Also I recommend taking the tour A with them. Everything was organized impecable. We had a fantastic time

You can’t swim in the sea unfortunately :( I think that’s across all that area

I can only recommend this small yet beautiful resort, that provides great view of the ocean and in the same time hospitality as you are staying in your own house. The staff were very responsive and every detail was up to the highest standarts. They organized on our request an exchange of vows, although they were not providing this service, and the venue and the dinner after were exactly as I pictured it, even more beautiful. The only negative comment I have is about the quality of the food, although we could see that the chef was going beyond to prepare the meals, the sauces were delicious and the presentation too. However, the ingredients were not of good quality, the meat for example, and I was missing more fruit, if I compare the resort with other there. So boss, do your part to match the price :) . However, overall I would stay again in this amazing hotel. Thank you for everything!

Food sometimes was bad

This is Luxury at its best! You feel like you have your own private property, staff is always willing to serve, is a quiet, secluded area. Beach is roght in front of the property, pool is clean and never crowded. You can completely relax as the staff will arrange everything (at extra cost): airport transfer, Port transfer, trycicle, tours, meals, etc... Breakfast is delicious! Try Philipino breakfast, it is great!. You can also order aditional items (at extra cost), order Calamansi ginger tea, is the best sweat tea I have ever tried. Restaurant view is peaceful, and the service is amazing

Beach is a bit small, but very convenient to relax. is Not a complaint, as there are other beautiful beaches near.

The property was beautiful and felt private because of all the foliage everywhere. The little restaurant next to the beach was excellent. The restaurant was very accommodating and would let you order the night before for breakfast available before their scheduled opening the next day (if you had a scheduled tour or scuba diving trip). The food was fresh and always included fresh fruit. The yellow watermelon gazpacho soup was exceptional. The pool was warm and clean and made the heat manageable (it was 90+ most days). A good PADI scuba shop (Tabanka) was 100 ft. down the beach and their dive outrigger boat was moored out front.

Nothing, the resort exceeded my expectations.

Gorgeous location, cosy and romantic bungalows, peaceful. Small and intimate with lots of character. Great pool and setting. perfect for Sunsets, sunrises etc. Loved the outdoor Balinese-style shower. Not far from town but it feels like you are on a private oasis miles from anywhere.

I would have rated this property a 10 except the staff totally messed up my laundry. It was still soaking wet when I checked out even though they said 24 hours earlier it would be ready in time. Had to cart a bag full of wet clothes back to Manila.

This hotel is in our opinion even nicer in real life than on the photos. The room was super clean, comfortable and with great atmosphere. You have the comfort, but still feel in one with nature due to the design of the room and the outdoor bathroom (which was supercool and very clean). The service is excellent and the staff was always so helpful. Room service was free of charge so you could a enjoy breakfast in your room or outside your own room at the terrace. The breakfast and food in general was also really good. The bar/restaurant area is nice.

Corong corong is not the nicest beach and it wasn’t really a place to sunbath at the beach. Maremegmeg beach was much better if this is what you want. It didn’t really bother us to much as we were island hopping and doing other activities most days. And maremegmeg area is not far to walk if you want to spend the day at a nicer beach. As for the hotel itself we have nothing bad to say.

Absolutely exceptional!!! I cannot express how truly incredible my husband and my stay was. First off, the resort: just paradise! The cottages are beautiful, comfortable, have great AC, pool overlooking the beautiful beach, everything is so stunning and perfect. Quick ride less than 10 mins to El Nido town. The restaurant: we ate here almost every meal and loved everything we had! The staff: ABOVE AND BEYOND! Staff treated us like family, helped us take care of literally everything we could need. Without going into too much detail, my husband and I are from the United States and were in a motorbike accident which he got cut very badly in the leg. On our tricycle ride to the emergency clinic, we had them stop at Buko so I could run and grab money. Stephanie at the front desk ran back up to the tricycle with me and came to help us get to the clinic and made sure the driver waited there to take us back once my husband was treated. She insisted on staying to make sure everything went okay. Once back at the resort, Stephanie, Esmeralda, and the rest of the staff wwent absolutely leaps and bounds beyond any care and hospitality we would have expected. I am honestly brought to tears thinking of how cared for we felt during such a scary experience. Oh and we were here for my birthday as well and everyone made me feel so special when they found out! I am so excited to come back to Buko (with some friends as well next time!) and I cannot reccomend this amazing resort enough. We have traveled quite a bit and can honestly say we have NEVER been treated as well as we were at Buko Beach Resort.

That I couldn’t live here forever! haha! There is nothing we didn’t like here.

Small quiet resort with beautiful view. Sea view cottage with private sun lounge was great. Clean well presented room. Lots of space inside and outside. Friendly and helpful staff. On-site restaurant has good selection. Great spot to watch the sunset. Easy walk along the beach (at low tide) to nearby restaurants as well.

The pool could be a little cleaner. The island hopping tour company the resort uses was good but not the greatest.

I couldn't speak more highly of this place and its staff. The staff were simply incredible. Always friendly and went out of their way for us, probably daily, to ensure we had zero stress and felt incredibly special. Very promptly answered WhatsApp messaging service so we literally didn't have to lift a finger.... genius! The in room massages were out of this world good. Food fantastic. Pool spotless. Huts well set out and very comfortable Sunset views stunning. Seamless transfers organised in complete luxury for our drive to Puerto Princesa Not to mention the very special surprise we had waiting for us in our room to congratulate us on our honeymoon when we got there. Signed by all the staff Thank you to everyone at Buko Beach Resort for getting our honeymoon off to such a memorable and special start.... we WILL be back ❤️
