We've travelled through the Philippines for 4 months and can without a doubt say that this was our best stay so far. If you're looking for peace, quiet and relaxation this is your spot. Besides the breathtaking sunsets the resort also offers great food options and we really liked the coffee! When the tide goes out it is a bit hard to swim but the bonus is that you can get a glimpse of all the sea life living on the rocks. When the tide is high there are plenty of pretty fishes. We also did the excursion to the waterfall and island hopping which we both enjoyed very much! A compliment to all the staff and Luiz for making us feel right at home.

It was all good. We came without high expectations and enjoyed experiencing the island life. If you really need internet you can get a Smart sim, the mobile internet is good here.

The location was beautiful

The was no daily cleaning and the WiFi only worked in the beach area, not in the rooms. I think this should be clearly stated in booking that WiFi doesn’t work in the rooms.

The cabines made by bamboo very nice and confortable and the seaview with others islands very beautiful. It’s a privated beach but not to swimming because there are many rocks!

The food is regular and the portions are little…

Beautiful location looking out on the beach on an island 15 minutes from Port Barton. The room was big, the restaurant was good, the sea was warm (though not much of a beach). Luiz organized a boat tour—which we definitely recommend— and transfers for us to get to puerto princesa.

The main thing that didn’t really work for us was that the electricity goes off at 6am and doesn’t come on again until 9,10 or 11. This means the fan goes off. This is annoying for two reasons: it’s too hot to sleep without a fan and without the white noise of the fan, the place is really noisy. There was loud construction from ~8am as they’re building a new building and our room was directly upstairs from the kitchen. We are not morning people and would’ve been happy if the electricity went off at 9am and didn’t come on until evening; the three hours between 6-9am are not hours we really wanted to be awake and slept badly.

Enjoyed an amazing week at Sunset Colors. Perfect place if you want a quiet break away from the more touristy towns of Palawan. Beautiful location, relaxed atmosphere, nice and clean cottages and a restaurant and bar on the beach serving tasty meals and drinks. And, best of all, fantastic and friendly staff members who all made us feel right at home from the second we arrived to the second we left. Also enough nice places to discover within easy reach such as Gilligan Beach, Bigaho Falls, Port Barton Town, and of course all the islands and beaches offered on daily boat trips. All in all, easily recommendable! :-)

What I like about this place is its perfect fit for someone who enjoys a quiet, chill vibe. We're almost entirely alone on the island. Getting here requires a boat ride and checking in and out can be a bit of a hassle if you need access to the main port of Barton. However, if you just want to relax on the island, it's ideal. The beachfront, although picturesque with perfect sunsets, isn't recommended for swimming because it's a bit rocky. Nevertheless, there are options for food and mini-bars, and the staff are very accommodating. During our stay, we were informed on check-in day that there was a fiesta in town, so at night we could hear some noise from the festivities. Despite that, I still enjoyed my stay; it has a peaceful vibe.

Lived up to its name, Sunset Colors. The location was idyllic and the resort lovely. Our beach front hut was lovely. The beach was not really great for swimming, nonetheless there was enough island hopping, swimming and snorkeling activities available. The food at the resort was good and it was enjoyable eating our meals on the beach. The host, Luis, was excellent. He was likeable, easy to deal with, and when a mistake in the booking was made on his part, he owned up to it, which was refreshing. He also proved to be very accommodating.

Nothing to dislike regarding the resort itself. An airconditioned room would have been a plus though. The fan did an adequate job though. Just beware of "nik-nik" if laying down at the far end of the beach, away from the resort.

The hotel is in a private beach, isolated. The cabin we got was amazing, beautiful with views to the beach. I'm a lover of dogs and there were many strays around who are nice and playful. It's quiet and really stunning.

You can only get to the hotel by boat. They arrange this boat for free BUT ONLY FOR YOUR CHECK-IN OR CHECK OUT. If you want to leave the beach to visit port barton, you CANNOT leave unless another guess is checking in or out, and if you want to tag along with them you need to pay. If you want to get a private boat, you also need to pay and the price is way too high. We felt trapped and scammed with this as is definitely not clear in the description at Booking.com. The do this on purpose so you have to spend more on site. Be aware.

Me and my friend stayed for 4 nights eventually at the property and we had an amazing time. We took the boat (15 minutes) to the place and it was super nice that it was not at a busy, crowded beach. The houses were nice, clean and pretty spacious! It was super close to the beach and they had a lot of seating where you can chill and look at the beautiful view. The food was also amazing! The staff was super friendly, special thanks to Luiz for being so nice and helpful. If you want to relax and reconnect with the beautiful nature and views you should really go here. We both loved it.

For us, the isolation and lack of luxury were absolutely perfect. All staff, particularly Matoy, Connie, and Margo, were outstanding. The free use of the kayak allowed us to explore beautiful white sandy beaches and turquoise waters on other deserted islands. The food was delicious with good portions sizes. We felt at roughly $9 AUD per meal they was reasonably priced, and with the menu variety, we didn't feel the need to look elsewhere. Loved the bar, amazing cocktails, and fabulous massage. We would return in a heartbeat.

Having to leave.
